That's still kind of small :tongue.gif: I can do with it, but are you sure you don't have a different picture somewhere else that is larger and shows more of the character?

That's the full size picture straight from my computer. It's the only picture I have too. Did you try saving it and viewing it with Photo Viewer or something? Btw, the only part you can't see in that pic is the back which is just black fur down to the legs.

you need to give him something as a base. like, what species, what color, what fur pattern, ect.

I know, I have a pic on my profile.

For the love of all things holy, don't use Hamatchi. Its horrible, there probably is a bug in the coding that is now allowing players to connect to your server. I've been having that same issue with a few members on my server. Before the 1.8 update they connected just fine, now they cant even login (to my server). So its probably a coding/script error that is blocking them. All we can do is file a report and sit back until they come out with a patch.

So please don't use Hamatchi, this is not your fault or the server's fault, its probably the coding.

    -Signed Cpt. Brenner

I've never had any issues with Hamachi whatsoever. Nevertheless, you're probably right on the cause.

Special access through firewall as well. Norton didn't have a problem with the 1.7.3 server, but I added the firewall access to 1.8 in hopes that it would solve it.

Well, since I'm not exactly sure what's causing this problem, the only quick solution I can think of is to set up a Hamachi network for the server to run on. If you wish to do so, here's a tutorial:

    Nope, nothing of the sort.

Okay. Are you completely sure your ports are open and your router doesn't have any firewalls?

Something along the lines of "Server timed out." There is no record of them trying to connect on the server log.

Seems like the server isn't running on that port. Any errors when you start the server up? (Something along the lines of: FAILED TO BIND TO PORT)

No, I downloaded the new software of the website.

Okay and what does it say when they try to connect?

Are you still using the 1.7.3 server software?

    posted a message on Blocking
I have noticed that right-clicking while holding a sword will cause you to move slowly and "block." When your looking directly at a mob that is attacking you while blocking, you will either receive less damage then usual or no damage at all. I believe Notch mentioned blocking at one time but I have no quotes though. This is what blocking looks like while right-clicking.

Sad news, It did finally rain, emphasis on the raining part, because my forest didn't receive any snow.

So, yeah, I have snow idea what's going on (Okay, that hurt me more than it hurt you).

Perhaps this is just for debug purposes then.

Do you have any evidence to back this up? It'd be extremely useful if you could provide a picture or the like.

And we're all well aware that this isn't perfect, really though our reason for being here is to point out the imperfections so they can be resolved.

This is just a guess because I haven't been playing long enough yet to see any weather. I also don't think it'd be likely for them to just remove it without a real reason which is why I guessed this. If i come across any snow I'll post a screenshot.

I believe that until it actually snows, a snow biome will just look like a normal forest. Also, this is a pre-release so keep in mind that not everything is perfect just yet.
