I have an idea I'd like to possibly use in a future map... I've tried some stuff, but I'm just not sure how to make this device I have in mind.
You'd have 3 buttons, and they are each attached to their own dispenser - each dispenser has different items. So let's say button 1 has a diamond sword, button 2 has 5 iron swords, and button 3 has a bow with 32 arrows. What I want to happen is by pressing a button it will dump the entire contents of the selected dispenser, at the same time disabling the other buttons.
What are your maps about? Besides CTM. Is there anything you do differently that makes your maps special?
I called my set of maps "bRan's Mini-CTM" very simple, but also give's you an idea about my maps. My maps themselfs are also named very simply. "Sandstone, Happy Love / Deception, and Float" I was orginaly going to name each map after a block, but that didn't seem to work after sandstone.
Nether portals aren't linked, they recalculate where they should connect each time. So you could move the portal with MC Edit, but it would not achieve what you want.
You can change the spawn with MC Edit. But to clarify for those who don't know:
Single player spawn is set to a single spot, multiplayer spawn point is set to an area around that set point, I think a 10 block radius.
In Minecraft 1.3 there is no seprate single player/ multiplayer mode. It's all the same code merged now.
Mojang could fix this easy by letting us specify Player 1,2,3,4,5, ect spawn points - this would be super good for multiplayer maps... Or even just let us change the range of the spawn box... But I don't know if this is a priority for them...
I tried out my maps in 1.3 pre-release and the spawning is the same as in multi-player. This will break some of my maps - and as I can imagine some of yours. Does anyone here know of any workarounds? I was hoping to add some of the new features into my current maps, but first I need to figure out how to fix this spawning issue.
I'm getting ready to release the 3rd map of my Mini-CTM series

I'm a few days away from "finishing" the map, but I'd like some volunteers to help me out before I release the map. I'm currently playing through the map as I finish it. But I won't do the same things you do.
I need people that can play through and tell me what parts were too hard or too easy. What chests really helped, what chests seemed pointless. What areas you maybe needed some items. etc.
If you can help, I'd like your eMail, I will only use it for the purpose of this playtest. You can post it below, or PM me your email so noone else has it.

So it's like your choosing your treasure...
Any ideas to make this work?
