I'm uploading a video right now, I'll be done in about 40 minutes! I'm just showing off some of the items I've managed to slap together. I'm really excited about what this feature could do for us content creators!
Link to the schematic is below if you don't want to wait for the video.
I really like the "Health Bars" MOD, but is there a way to display the custom name and the health bar? Maybe a way to trick the system to let you have 2 lines of text...
The range is kinda low too, I'm assuming it's the default range for the custom name system. But it'd be neat if you were aiming at a ranged MOB and hit it the "name" would display for a short while. However, it's also kinda neat the way it is because it's like you have to be close enough to your enemy to know it's condition.
I was wondering if you'd have a way to make your health bar display above the MOB, perhaps even still show potion effects. I know you'd want to do it differently than the "Health Bar" MOD so your not just coping someone else's work. But I really like the health bar above the MOB your fighting paired with your number pop-offs.
Also- I just learned that his MOD takes control of the custom name Tag, so if my MOBs have custom names, they can't have a health bar.
Wow, this thread seems to have been quiet for a while. Found this through Crafterdark, always wanted to tryst. How long is the expected playtime? If it is short enough I might play this alongside Legendary.
I especially like how you hand picked mods for enhancing gameplay experience, not only because they are useful, but also because they are the very ones I need and have been searching for for quite a while now. Wondering if there will be a fourth map?
Depends on you honestly, I've been playing through my 2nd map and have about 13 episodes of nearly 30 minutes each and still have to go to the third area! Now I'm on the slower end of most players... I think some people blast through it in a few days, granted they may be playing for 2-3 hours at a time.
The MODs really help you get a feel for weapon effectiveness, I don't feel like it's a cheat because in theory you could memorize all those values.
I do have a project I've been working on, BUT it's very slow going as I've been focused on my YouTube as of recent.
Yes! I'm on YouTube now! I've been working to improve my craft as well. I'll have a few unscheduled videos coming out this week, be sure to Subscribe if you haven't already so you know when they come out!

Hey Azanor. I had some thoughts a few days ago that you may find interesting.
You say you have a new idea for research... I was thinking about a mage practicing magic. And that's just it, they would have to practice. Just like an archer has to practice a bow. As your skill increases you get better at it. You can try more advanced things once you've mastered some level of skill below that. But in real life, there is nothing to stop us from trying the advanced stuff before we're ready. The problem with magic, however, is that your trying to channel the essence of something, and if you try to channel more than your used to, and you "lose your grasp"... bad stuff can happen.
My other thought was related. I've been playing some Minis Wargaming at by buddies house. Many such games let you attempt to roll more dice at once for the chance at a stronger spell. Like a warrior charging, or going into a berserk mode. Usually the die mechanic is if you get too many of the same number your spell fails, or misfires, sometimes you can even lose your magic for a duration.
I'm not suggesting any of these things be added directly. But they do describe the feel of something that could become a good gameplay mechanic. The idea of learning by doing, and pushing yourself harder than you should to get a chance at something great or something really bad.
I'm even imagining now some 'aspects', if you will, that are docile and want to be controlled. As well as the opposite (like a balancing force) 'aspects' that hate being caged, and don't want to be controlled.
Or possibly a set of 'higher level aspects' that are on the verge of having their own thoughts/will/desires. A form of magic that you have to attract or trick into doing what you want. A form of magic that is alive...
I'll stop there or I may start repeating myself. But I really wanted to share those thoughts. Hopefully they help to inspire your next big idea.

No Bueno!
If anyone knows how to make that MOD work, please let me know, or one step better, a different MOD that does something similar.
MODs must be Forge Compatable and for 1.4.7

Optifine; adds niceness and a fun zoom that I may use...
RedPower; Micro-Blocks!
BiblioCraft; Really nice display stuff like book shelfs and desks, potion racks and armor stands, etc.
I'd also also like a good way to hide player names. I record with the GUI hidden most of the time so it's not a big issue, but it'd be nice for other possible segments. Actually! If I had a way to make a fake player name that would be the best ever!
