posted a message on A Minecraft Story
This is a Minecraft Story. No fancy titles because I couldn't think of one, but let me assure you, that won't make the story worse. This is my first story, and I think I want to continue it. I just need some ideas. So, please, enjoy the story, leave some comments, and that's it!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    I was having a dream.
A man had approached me, wearing a long, flowing cape, and stood in front of me. He started talking, but it sounded like random noises were coming out of his mouth. I saw a pig by his side wearing a top hat looking at me strangely, also talking, though I could understand him.
He said, “Hello, Julian. Welcome to your dreams.

I responded, not bothered in the least, “Hello, pig. What am I doing here?”

The pig sat, cocking his head at me. “Me and Notch here have decided to relocate you to a different dimension. We find that you aren’t actually fulfilling your full potential in your home dimension of Earth. We are moving you instead to a world that Notch created that will bring out all of your talents.”

I shook my head, confused. “Well, why me? And while I’m asking questions, why is Notch speaking weirdly?”

The pig chuckled, “Oh, he is just speaking in a different language. You’ll have to learn it, too, when you move to the new dimension. At the moment, he’s giving you advice on how to survive in this land.”

I laughed, “Tell him I can’t understand him. Anyway, where am I being moved to?”

Notch coughed, and answered in English, “We’re moving you to a land I personally created. On Earth, you can actually access the dimension, even if the access is limited. Humans call it ‘Minecraft’.

I reply, “Well, what am I doing here then?”

The pig answers, “Well, think of this area where you are in now as an airplane. We are currently on our way. We actually only have 5 minutes left until landing.”

I nod, and say, “Well, can you give me a hint at what’s going to happen? Or what I have to do?”

Notch mutters, “Maybe if you would've understood me you would know.” he clears his throat, “Anyway, the land you will be located in will be different from life. Just experiment, if you need help me or Buxx here will come help you out.”

Notch looks at his arm, “Oh look! Time to drop you off! Well, goodbye, Julian!”

The last thing I say before I wake up is, “You don’t have a watch on your arm...”

    I open my eyes.
I’m lying on top of a mound of dirt, and I can hear a light breeze passing by. I push myself off the ground, and look around. I see I’m at the top of a small hill, and I can see the world stretch out before me. In front of me, where the sun is rising is a large plain, stretching out into the distance. To my left and right are forested regions, and to the west, behind me, is a small lake with an entrance to a cavern not that far away from it.
But the most amazing thing about the region is that it is entirely made out of blocks. I stand up, and see that the two dirt blocks I had been lying on were exactly a metre long, wide, and deep. I look around, and see that every part of the land was a block. I sit back down on the dirt, absorbing all the information. Where was I? In Minecraft. Why was everything in block form? No idea. Was I in block form? No, which is weird. I notice a little note next to me. I read it.

    Dear Julian,
Welcome to Minecraft! Unfortunately, you never had accessed it from Earth, so you won’t understand the rules of the dimension. Basically, I’ll lay it out for you:
    1. You can break things. Even dirt, just by hitting it. You will have to get tools to collect other blocks later on, but most things that are on the surface of the world (Trees, sand, etc...) can be collected by hitting it.
    2. To make these tool, you’ll need wood to craft. Crafting something you can do automatically, but to make tools you’ll need a workbench (your father was a carpenter, so you should understand that)
    3. Everything is (mostly) possible! If you think it might work, try it! Remember, the rules of gravity and time aren’t the same here as on Earth!
    4. When night comes, monsters will come out. You’ll see what I mean. To avoid being eaten, torn apart, or blown up, make a house for yourself.
    5. To build, just hold what you want to place and place it. The replica will turn back into it’s original form.
    See you later!
    Notch.

I look at the dirt, and chuckle. This place was so different from home. I try punching the dirt, and to my amusement, little cracks started to form. I kept punching until the dirt was destroyed, and noticed a little block replica had been dropped. It wasn’t that big, so I put it in my pocket.
I quickly made my way over to part of the forested region, and using my new-found fist powers, started punching away at the wood. I felt nothing, except for the pain one would feel when lightly punching a pillow. I quickly manage to collect 50 little replicas of wood, and go to the lake to build. Using a chunk of rock lying around the edge of the cavern entrance, I split one log in two, and felt confused when the log splits into some planks. I used them to build a bench a bit like my dad’s, and split the rest of the wood into planks. I look up at the sun and see that I still had a good couple of hours to build my home. Using the planks, I quickly build up a cube frame and filled it in with wood. I put a flat roof on the top, and using my crafting bench, I make a doorway.

Just before the sun sets, I grab some leaves hanging from the branches and make a soft bed, and go to sleep.
I wake up almost instantly, and feel refreshed, but hungry. Using the crafting bench, I turn some planks into sticks and go outside. I see some animals dotted around, and I also see another animal, all alone in the middle of a meadow. It had small, green feet, and the texture of leaves. But the worst thing about it was the face. It was contorted in misery and sadness, and I could almost feel its pain. I walk up to it, and it noticed me. It walks towards me rather fast. I smile at it, but then notice that its head was swelling up, and it was hissing rather violently.
I wake up on top of the hill, and groan. Obviously that was one of the monsters. I notice that I feel perfectly fine, apart from a memory of pain. I walk back to where I died, and find a large crater where mini replicas of dirt and my stuff lay on the ground. I pick the stuff up, and patch the crater up using the dirt so I won’t fall in later. I go back to my house, and start crafting a weapon. Obviously, in this land I will need tools, and weapons too. The finished result is a jagged wooden sword.
It isn’t beautiful, but it will do. I also craft a little axe so I can chop down trees faster. As I go outside to collect more wood, I notice the cavern, and inside stone. I try using my fists on it, but it won’t crack open. Then, remembering old lessons in school about the gold rush and mining, I run back to the house and make a pickaxe to collect stone, and go to the cavern entrance. It looks dark, so I hang near the entrance, in case another one of the green things sneak up on me. Using the pick, I collect a small stack of the cobbles, and go cut some trees down as well, chuckling at the amazing gravity defying trees that were left floating above the ground.
As I got back to my house, I notice the darkness. Using the bench, I craft a small oven, and put some wood in it. A good fire gets going, and the room lights up. I also build a chest to hold my wood and stone supplies, and go to sleep.
I feel immense pain in my stomach when I open my eyes. I get out of my little bed, and fall to the ground, coughing. I need food badly. I grab my sword, and walk outside, dry-retching. I see a pig, and a run up to it and stab it, it tries to run, but I quickly slaughter it. I eat one raw pork chop, and go cook the rest.
As I chew down on the pork, I can slowly feel my hunger leaving me. By the time I finish my last pork chop, I feel ready for the world. I grab my axe and sword, and walk outside to greet a world covered in snow. I must have been delirious not to have noticed it. I do happily notice that the green things don’t hide as well, so I finish up the last of them sleeping under the trees. From them, I get a little handful of grey dust which looks a lot like coal, so I store it for later.
By the time I had taken care of the greenies and remaining zombies, the sun was shining and some of the lighter snow had melted. I grab some of it, and make a little underground freezer in my house to store some of the pork chops I had. Once that was finished, I went outside to fetch wood, and was happily chopping away at the wood until I heard a hiss. I swore, and turned to face the greenie.
But instead I saw 2. They seemed to be hissing back and forth between each other like a debate, and they hadn’t noticed me in the floating tree’s shade. I lay down on my stomach, and pull out a thin plank I made. Using a piece of coal, I sketched one out, and started writing things about it. It seemed to hiss at a lower pitch when talking, and it’s green skin was also darker. I also noticed that their mouth had a darkish liquid instead of saliva, looking a bit like the powder I collected yesterday. It smelt rather pungent, but also a lot like fresh earth.
I decided to take a risk. I dug a hole in the ground, and threw everything in there except for some powder. With that, I put it in my mouth. It was overwhelmingly, extremely, so strangely sweet. It tasted a lot like sugar and red bull. I managed to keep from swallowing it, and threw the rest of the powder over me. Then, I walked towards the greenies.
I instantly knew it was a bad idea. The greenies turned to face me, and hissed in a higher pitch. I prepared for the pain, but instead felt the greenies pushing me back in the shade. They were hissing at me in a low tone, so I was safe for now, and I tried to record what they were saying. They quickly understood that I couldn’t speak to them for some reason, and so they started trying to look at something and then hiss.
As I sat with them, their hisses and their points made sense. Dirt and grass was RASSSS, stone was SSSSST, and other words all had a bit of human syllables in them. Until they pointed at my wooden home. Then, they hissed in a high pitch, and it sounded, at least in my head, a lot like fear. I shook my head, and I said ‘night’ to them, and walked off. They talked for a while, and then left. I swallowed the powder and brushed it off. I now knew that the powder disguised my scent, or whatever, and I, at least to the greenies, was a total abomination. I could understand that. I did slaughter them in the dozens. I grabbed my stuff, and went home.
The next day was even more strange. When I woke up and went outside, I noticed some tracks in the snow. Human tracks. I grab my weapons, and quickly follow the path up to a mountain cave. Inside I find a person facing away from the entrance towards a fire. I creep up on the person and whisper, “If I was a zombie, you would be dead.”
The person, no, girl, faced me. I could now see the hair her hoodie had obscured, and also the slimmer, less muscular body than a guy. She shouts, “Who are you, and what the hell am I doing here?” I can see tears forming, from sadness or worry, I don’t know, but I manage to reply, “Didn’t Notch tell you?”
I can see her mouth frown, “So that wasn’t a dream?” I shake my head. She sighs, and sits back down on the floor. I continue to speak, “Listen, do you want to come back to my house? This isn’t exactly the greatest place in the world...” She stares daggers of hate into me, and replies “Screw you. I’ll manage.”
I shrug. Nothing I can do about that. I leave, but before I do, I place a torch on the side of the cavern. I make my way slowly back to my house, and chop some trees before the sun sets. This time, I stay up late, extending my house underground and moving my living quarters downstairs. Once I do, I finally let myself fall back on my leafy bed.
The next morning, I wake, feeling surprisingly well rested for only 4 hours sleep. I record that on the wall. It might be helpful to know i can go without a lot of sleep. I grab my pick, and go mining. as I do, I find another rock with some coal trapped inside, a lot like the pieces of rubble I see hanging around the edges of the cave. I mine the vein, and load the coal into my oven for later. At this point, night falls, and I go to sleep.
Some time during the night, I hear a scream, and my door opening, I raise my head to see the girl closing the door behind her, and tiptoeing to one of my chests. I’m about to get up and apprehend her, but she places two blocks of sand from my chest and falls asleep. I smile, and go back under.
The next day, I wake up early, and I start cooking some of my chops from the freezer. She must’ve been woken up by the noise, as when I turn, she’s gone. I take one porkchop, and see her sitting on the top of a tree. I have no clue how she got up there. I take the pork chop, and throw it up, where it lands next to her. All she does is nod in thanks, and I turn back to the house to get my stuff for the day.
As I mine for cobble so I can expand my house on the surface, I see her venture past me into the deeper part of the caves. I hand her a torch, and she nods again. She opens her mouth like she is about to say something, but shakes her head and continues on down. As she goes down, I find another coal vein, and I start to mine away at the stuff. About ten minutes later, I see the girl running up the cavern floor at full speed, with several greenies following. And so, feeling righteous and protective, I do something so stupid it blew my mind when I thought back on it.
I shouted safe in greenie. They all tripped over each other, and I chuckled at the puzzled expressions on their faces. I then shout dark, and point back to where they came from. Slowly, they get up and turn, surprise evident on their faces. I must have been pretty surprised too, as I didn’t even know where that came from. Safe? I might have heard it from the greenies’ conversation that day before yesterday, but I don’t remember learning that word. Only basics, like dark, dirt and fear.
As I venture back up the steps, coal dust covering me, I see the girl lying against a tree, breathing deeply. I approach her, and she recoils before she realizes it’s me. I sit down next to her. “What happened?” I breath. She explained. She said she had gone down and had found another stone but with tan colouring, and was wondering what it was until the greenies approached. “It scared the life out of me, those creepers coming up on me.” I look at her questioningly, and she realizes that I just called the ‘creepers’ greenies. “They just blend into the trees and make so little noise, I find the name suits them” she explains. I agree, it is strange how little noise their feet make on the grass.
For the next hour or so, I talk with her. She reveals that her name is Kate, and she had landed up here after she had run away from home. “I was falling asleep in a broken down house, when I had the dream about that Notch guy.” she says. “I thought that it was funny, until I woke up in this hellhole.” I tell her about myself and my name, and by the time we are both done, the sun is setting. I get Kate back into the house, and make her a room for herself, where I move in a chest and a soft leaf bed. “Thanks, Julian,” she mutters. “Thanks for everything.” she falls asleep, and as I get on my leafy bed, I soon follow.

I opened my eyes to see Buxx relaxing in a chair. I realize that both he and I are dressed in fancy cocktail party suits, and little glasses of wine sit next to us. Buxx looks up and I chuckle at the expression the pig makes. Have you ever seen a pig smile? I recommend it.
“Well, I hope you have enjoyed your adventures so far.” Buxx comments. “I must say, Notch and I were rather pleasantly surprised at that little trick you pulled off with the creepers the other day”
I respond, “Well, I actually don’t know where I got those words from. It just came out naturally.”
Buxx snorts softly, “Oh, not just that, boy. The trick you pulled off with the creepers by disguising your scent. The reason Kate is here is because we thought you would die and you would need a replacement.”
I am confused, and I think Buxx knows it. “But didn’t you create the world? How do you not know the finer points of it?”
Buxx shakes his head. “Oh, no, Notch created it, not me. But he only created the absolute minimum. The world has evolved by itself. You might say in Earth that the world continues to update and change versions.”
I respond, “So what version are we on then?
Buxx looks directly at me. “An early one, to be sure. Things haven’t gotten hard yet.”
“Excuse me?” I question. I feel the air turning into honey. “And the narwhal bacons at what time?”
Buxx laughs. “Time to wake up, Julian.”
“But Abraham Jefferson hasn’t ascended to the throne yet!” I shout.
“Good morning, Julian. See you” Buxx mutters.
    “But when?” I scream.

“Julian! Wake up!” Kate is shouting in my ear. I sit up so suddenly, she jumps back before looking at me like I was some sort of foreign specimen.
“What happened?” I groan, rubbing away the sleep in my eyes.
“You had a nightmare. I’m pretty sure I heard the word ‘narwhal bacon’ somewhere in there,” she says.
I laugh. I remember the feeling of that more dreamy quality coming on near the end. “Oh, I was speaking with Buxx, Notch’s assistant, and as I woke up, I must have turned back to a normal dream.”
She moans in frustration. “I was sca- I mean, I was concerned that you were dying!” I nod. My screams still echo, and they don’t exactly sound like a happy scream. I get out of bed and stretch. “Oh well. New day, let’s get started,” I mutter. She agrees, and I give her an axe.
We quickly cut down a bunch of trees surrounding my house, and we replant what we cut. I am surprised that by the time the sun is setting, we had collected over 50 trees. When we got back, I quickly converted them all into planks, and we stored them. That night, I had no dreams, and neither did Kate.
The next morning, we go down to the cavern. I start to mine away the stone, and Kate, with her torch and my sword, explored further. After about 5 minutes, she comes back up, and says, “I think I found an ore of some sort. Come look.” I follow her down into a dark section, placing torches as I go, until Kate shows me a barely visible chunk of ore hidden in the ceiling. I try to use my pickaxe, but the wood doesn’t seem able to break the ore out from its stone shell. I have an idea, and go back up to craft a different pickaxe, this time made of stone.
Sure enough, the ore falls apart under my new pickaxe. I manage to get about 8 before Kate signals a zombie creeping up on us. We rush back up to the cavern top, and got inside. I smelt the ore, and pick up one of the finished ones. A bar of metal. Kate recognizes it. “It’s iron,” she explains. “My father was an iron-worker, and he always had a stack of these ‘ingots’ as he called them” I shrug, and continue taking the newly made ingots from the furnace and putting them in a chest. I do keep two out, and tell Kate my plan.
She nods, slowly. “It could work. I mean, nothing is really real here. Nothing bad could happen anyway.” She’s right. Using the iron, I craft a sword. Much better crafted than my previous wooden attempt, the iron edges glint in the sunlight, and the grip for the blade fits my hand perfectly. I give it to her, and she weighs it in her hand. ‘Good craftsmanship. This would usually take my dad 2 weeks to make on his own. This world really is strange.” She said it. Using the rest of the iron, I make a shear for me and Kate, and we manage to find a clump of sheep.
After collecting their fuzzy wool, we return home with full pockets. To see the door open, and everything trashed inside. “What the hell?” Kate murmers. I agree with her. The furnace door was open, and the chest was tipped over, stuff spilling out. I couldn’t see the rest of our iron. While Kate inspects the rest of the ground floor, I go into our rooms, where I find a guy tearing through Kate’s personal chest. Using the hilt of the iron sword, I knock him out, and drag him upstairs. Kate kicks him, and starts tying him up with little threads from the wool we had collected. Rummaging through his pockets, we find our stuff, and some other things, like a bucket. After we recover our items, we leave him tied up on the floor, and Kate and I go to sleep.
“What-Wait, what am I doing here? HEY! YOU! LET ME OUT!” I can feel the robber’s pleading (and loud) voice raising me and Kate from our land of sleep. After fixing ourselves breakfast, we go back down to see the guy practically frothing at the mouth.
He shouts, “Why am I here!”
Kate answers curtly, “Because you tried to rob us.”
He shakes his head. “No! I was just exploring this place.”
This time I say, “Then how did we find 2 iron ingots and several stacks of wood on your person?”
He screams, “Because they were MINE!”
I laugh “I had a chest devoted to iron. Where did that go, then?”
He shrugs. “Don’t know. Maybe you left it somewhere.”
Kate chuckles. “You really think you are that great of a robber?”
He shrugs. “Fine. I found your house, needed your stuff, so I took a couple of things.”
I finally manage to get a good look at him. I can see his ribs through his shirt, and he obviously hasn’t eaten in days. Only the world’s infinitely different rules from Earth’s kept him alive. I sighed. He might be telling the truth. “Give him some food and send him on his way, “ I whispered to Kate. She nodded, and goes upstairs. I untie the guy, who looks no older than 13 or 14 at the most, and walk him into our room. Kate hands him a leather knapsack filled with some food.
“Alright, kid. Here’s some food. Just try not to bother us again.” Kate warns. The kid shrugs again. “I don’t know how this world works. I had no other choice.” He walks out the door, and we finally go about our business for the rest of the day. I manage to find another vein of iron, and Kate builds herself her own weapon. “I wanted more sharp edges than just a sword,” she explains, and I can see that her choice has more. The battle-axe (there is no better way to describe it) is a massive curling edge on the front, and from the back protrudes a spike. The handle is taller than Kate herself, and yet she manages to wield it with ease. I don’t question her choice. I don’t want to find my head under that axe any day.
That night, Kate starts building another room. She won’t tell me what it is, though. I try to peek, but find the edge of her monster-axe at my neck. I don’t try any more after that, and go to sleep.

“Wake up, sleepyhead! I’ve got a picnic ready and I want to get going as fast as we can!” I groan as I hear Kate’s voice travel through my head and sit up. As I rub my eyes free of sleep, I can see Kate fastening a coat over herself and picking up a basket. She smiles at me and gestures at the door. “Come on, Julian! We haven’t got all day!” I smile back, and get my coat on, and we are quickly on the trail, making our way to a small hill not far from the house and spawn point. Kate unravels a blanket on the grass, and I set up plates and two glasses for some apple juice. We have fun, eating sandwiches and telling each other jokes, that we don’t notice the creepers closing in. We finally do when I see the shadow.
When I turn, the creeper is staring right at me. I can see every detail in their skin with the attention of only someone who’s blood is half-adrenaline. But the creepers don’t swell up. They just glance at Kate, and then turn to me.
Who is he that can hear us?” The creeper hisses. I shake my head. I heard him as clearly as I did Kate.
    I say back, “It is I, Fear-Tongue
They nod, and one replies, “How is it that you, Fear-Tongue, learned our language?” I think about that. Should I tell them the truth about that night with the gun-powder, or lie and say I always knew it? I decide to tell them the truth.
You see, Leader-King, that I talked to your kin before. They could not place my scent, and so they did not know I was Fear.” Leader-King nods, and looks at his friends. They talk for a while, until two creepers step forward. I remember them as the ones who taught me Creeper-Tongue, yet I can’t see any differences physically between them and the rest.
They both say together, “Fear-Tongue fits you. Leader-King, as you call him, has decided to make a deal. You will help us communicate with the other Fear-Tribe-Members, and in return our clan here shall not harm you.
I consider the offer, and reply, “Only your Clan, Teacher-Tongues?
The Creepers look at each other, and shrug as much as a shoulder-less creature can. “We cannot guarantee safety with the other clans. We have no means of communication. I’m afraid we cannot say you will have full protection until we send out messengers.
I relayed the conversation to Kate, who considered it. “You should accept it. it can’t be that bad,” Kate says. I nod, and turn back to the creepers “Very well.” They nodded, and left. I laughed, and looked back at Kate, who in turn was looking at me quizzically. “Why are you laughing?” she asks. I respond, “I just find it funny that the most dangerous monster in this land has decided to be friends.” Kate nods, understanding. We finish up the rest of the picnic in peace, and then head back home.
The next day, we continue building our house. Using the rather generous supplies of wood we have, Kate and I start extending the house outwards and upwards. Kate builds a large wall around the house and the pond and a bit of extra area, and then we put little platforms where we can stand up on and fire down upon the enemies. While Kate does that, I climb on top of our house and break down the roof. I can feel the walls shake as the rubble falls to the ground. I clear it up, and then start extending upwards. I silently thank Notch for the strange physics, as the balconies extending from the higher floors are supported by nothing but the connection between it and the building. Finally, I had managed to build another two floors, one for relaxing, and the top one has an open roof so we can look out into the distance. Kate says that she is also almost done with her secret room, but she pushes me away as I tried to get a peek. “Not yet, stupid. Just wait” she laughs. She has such a musical laugh. I would listen to it to ever, but it was night, and Kate was aiming the spikey part of the axe at my crotch. I left, chuckling, and slept peacefully.

It was another dream. This time, I was in a nice lounge, fireplace crackling in the corner, leather sofas facing it. On the one opposite me sat Notch, who was cradling a cup of coffee. He looks at me and smiles. “Ah, Julian, nice to see you again.” I shrug, and sip at the coffee in my hands. “Nice to see you too, I suppose. Where’s Buxx?”
Notch reclined back against the sofa’s back. “He’s off taking care of some of the...bugs...in the system. Nothing to worry about” I lean forward, and question, “If there is nothing to worry about, then why bother fixing them?” Notch replied, “Because worry is just the present tense. There will be plenty to worry about soon enough if they aren’t fixed.” he coughs, “Well, that’s not why I brought you here. You are here because I need to tell you something. That boy who robbed you? I never brought him here. Buxx suspects it’s a bug, but I think that it has gone beyond that. Keep your eyes open, Julian.”
As I felt the air turn to honey again, I said, “Goodbye, Notch. I need to get to the choppa!!111one!!1”
Notch nods, opening a newspaper. “Goodbye, Julian.”

I open my eyes, and sigh. Obviously I hadn’t been screaming. I went downstairs to find Kate pulling some pork-chops out of the furnace. She smiles at me, and tosses me one. I nod my thanks, and sit down. She sits opposite, and stares at me. “It’s ready,” she says. “Fancy a look?” I nod, and swallow the rest of the pork-chop. As Kate leads me down some stairs, I notice a blue-ish light filling the chamber. As I reach the room itself, I can feel my jaw drop. Kate had dug right under the little lake and had turned the bottom to glass. The results were stunning. Blue light filtered out through the lounge room, where woolen sofas lay around, and a little stack of bookcases filled the corner. As I looked at it, I saw a couple of book covers catch my eye, including Lord of the Flies and a couple of copies of the lord of the rings. I look at her, and say the one word to express my feelings accurately. “Why?”
She laughs. “No reason. I suppose maybe a thanks for you saving me. As much as I look fierce, I wanted to go with you when you found me in the cave. Unfortunately, my stubbornness prevented me. I want to make it up to you.”
I stare at her, whoop in delight, and start spinning her around, causing her to laugh. After a couple of minutes of staring up at the sky through the lake, I stand up, and say, “Come on, let’s go do something productive.” She lifts herself up, and we go outside. To find the kid again, this time in leather armour and holding a sword. He laughs viciously and points the sword at us. “Give me all of your stuff, or die. Your choice.”
We both look at him incredulously, and smile at each other. Before he has a clue as to what had happened, he was pinned to the ground, the spike of of Kate’s axe going through the leather and keeping him there. I take his stuff again, and put it back inside. He stares daggers at me and Kate, and runs away. We both shrug, and continue working.
After a little while, I saw a creeper coming up to me. I turn to face it. It starts shouting, “The Fear-Child-Whine is attacking us! Help!
I look at Kate, who shrugs and says, “You go do what you have to do. I’ll stay here.” I nod, and follow the creeper to the site. There, I find the kid (who is called quite aptly by the creepers) was beating some of them with a stick. With one fell move, I landed on him, and shouted, “DIE”.
I don’t know what happened after, but when I came to my senses I was holding my sword, and the creepers were standing behind me. The kid was on the floor, cuts everywhere. He looks at me like I’m some evil creature from a nightmare, and says, “You’re one of them...” his head falls to the side as the light inside his brain goes out.
The creepers looked at me, and started walking away. The Leader-King walks up to me, and says, “Thank you. We are in your debt.” I reply, “In our time of need, you may help us.” The Leader-King nods, and retreats back to his people. I make my way back to Kate, and help her to chop down more trees. By sundown, a large area had been cleared, which Kate suggested we could use for a farm. “After all, bread is pretty nice, and we wouldn’t have to use so much coal cooking things,” she mentioned. I agreed half-heartedly, and went to sleep.

“Wake up! Julian! WAKE UP!” This last bit was accompanied by Kate pulling the blankets off of me, leaving me shivering. I groaned, and leaned upwards. “What?”
She pointed outside, “There’s someone there.” I got out of my bed and pulled on my shirt, and went outside, sword in hand. Kate followed closely. Parked in front of our lake was a wagon, with two pigs grazing in front of it. Next to the edge of the lake, a man was chopping away at trees using an axe that was a bit like Kate’s; axe blade on front, and a spike on the back. He skilfully swung it against the tree, causing it to break up in seconds. As he turned to face us, he dropped the logs and stepped back a bit, and then bowed. “Hello, children! How are you?” he asked. I shrugged. “Okay, I guess. My name is Julian, and this is Kate. Who are you?” The man chuckles. “Why, I am Alan, but you can call me Mister Schindler. Everyone calls me that!” Alan then points at his wagon, “and this is my trusty form of transportation! I call it the plain-sailor!” As Mister Schindler got into a detailed account on every grain of wood in the wagon, I got a good look at him. He was wearing a long black coat with badges decorating the front, and under that a white shirt and black trousers. His face was dirty, and stubble dotted his chin. His eyes, though, were a vivid blue, with nothing but the iris, which created a kind of hypnotic sensation.
“Son, are you okay?” I shook my head, getting rid of the mental image of Schindler’s eyes. He was staring at me, his forehead wrinkled. “Well? Are you okay?”
I nodded. “I suppose I am. So, what is exactly in the wagon?”
Mr Schindler’s smile widened until I was sure it touched his ears. “That’s exactly it! It’s filled with nearly everything you could ever want!” his smile then drooped. “And a couple things that you probably won’t. Anyway,” he said hastily, changing the subject, “I sell them for a couple of things that I need to continue trading.”
I nod, careful not to look directly in his eyes. “Well Kate? Do you think we should trade something?” I turn to face her. She shrugs, and replies, “Well, what is there to buy?”
Schindler smiled widely again. “Oh, just ask. I’m sure that I’ll have it.”
Kate thinks for a second, and then asks, “How about a box of seeds and a hoe?”
Schindler jumps up to the wagon, and reaches inside. He pulls out his hand a second later holding a hoe and in another hand a chest. He throws them over, where they turn into replicas and bounce at Kate’s feet. “That’ll be fifty-percent off, as it is your first purchase.” Kate nods, and pulls a couple iron ingots out of her pocket. “Will these do?”
Mr Schindler nods wildly. “Those would be perfect!” He quickly grabbed them and threw them in the back of the wagon, and got in himself. “Well, kiddies, I’m off! Gotta go sell other things and what-not.”
He waved goodbye, and the pigs started pulling the wagon at a surprising speed across the plains. In a couple of minutes, we couldn’t see him.
“Well, he was...interesting. I’m going to see if I can get this farm going,” Kate says.
We spent the rest of the day preparing the flat space of land for cultivation, and dropped off to sleep quickly.
The next day, we finally got the farm ready. While Kate channelled the water from the lake to the farmland while I raked it down and prepared it. In only half an hour, the land was ready and we started spreading the seeds over the land. After another hour of the back-breaking work, we took a break, and laid back on the grass, watching the clouds pass by overhead. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kate glance at me, smiling. I smiled back, and we continued to lie there for about half-an-hour. At that time, the clouds started turning black, and the air humid. Kate pulled me up off of the ground. “Storm,” she explained, “we better head inside.” I dutifully followed her in, and we go to our rooms. As I relaxed, I looked out of my window, and see several of the zombies starting to appear, along with some spiders and skeletons. And something else...
“KATE! GET DOWN HERE!” I shouted in horror, looking at the small shape that was in the middle of the mass of mobs. The figure was covered head to toe in armour, made from iron with diamond embellishment here and there. It also wielded a sword and shield, both iron. Using them, it was sweeping through the mobs like butter, coming right for our house.
“What is it-oh god! I’ll get ready!” Kate left, grabbing her axe on the way. I pick up my sword, and head outside. The thunder rolled across the sky, and I saw off in the distance a knife of lightning, cutting down through the ground. Just in front of me, though, was the real attraction. Kate and the small figure were working side by side fending off the monsters. Kate was swinging left and right with her battle-axe, sweeping through the ranks of the zombies. The figure had switched to a bow, now, picking off the skeletons and spiders from a distance. I ran over and joined them, both nodding appreciatively. As I started fighting, I noticed a lack of creepers, and took it that they were passively helping by not fighting as usual. Soon, the zombies withdrew, and went back to the trees. By this point we were all tired, though the figure had passed around some apples with a golden sheen that tasted like coffee and quickly showed other similarities.
Using the new-found stamina the apples had given us, we rushed back to the house, and I barred up the doors, placing a couple of planks of wood in front of the door. And turned to confront our guest. The small figure was dripping blood, rivers of the stuff outlining the diamond inlay of his armour, showing off the expert care put into the suit. The figure looked at me, face hidden behind a helmet that showed only his eyes, alert, green ones that focused on me.
“Who are you?” I asked. The figure put down his sword, also a piece of art by itself, gold and diamond intertwining around the inside, and then reached up to take off his helmet. Revealing a short 10 year old.
“So, you guys have any food? I’m starving. Golden apples really don’t help your hunger bars at all.” the boy casually asked. Now that I got a good look at him, he definitely was short.
Probably older, just hadn’t grown. “Yes, we do. I’ll go fetch some.” Kate answered kindly, and went off to rummage through the chests. I glanced again at the kid. He had curly, red hair shooting everywhere, and his nose looked broken, but apart from that he was normal. Still some kid fat on his face, and freckles dotted his cheeks and chin. “The name’s Matt. You?” the kid stated. “I’m Julian,” I reply. I hear somewhere from the next room, “And I’m Kate!”.
The boy leered at me. “Got a girl, do you?” I shake my head. “Just friends.” the kid continued leering, the grin penetrating my soul. “Oh, just friends then? Shame. Could get a lot better than that-” the last bit being accompanied by Matt being thrown on the couch by Kate, who proceeded to fume in his face. “You will shut up, now. You will not be disrespectful to your hosts, and you will NOT accuse them of being madly in love. Are we CLEAR?” by the last bit, Kate was raging, her eyes trying to cut holes through the kid’s face, who was calmly checking his nails.
“Don’t go over the top,” Matt complained, “I was kidding! It’s not like it matters, right?” Kate stared a bit longer at the kid’s nonchalant face, and then stormed away, up to her room. The boy chuckled. “You got a right one there, Julian. Be careful.” I shook my head, disappointment filling my being. THIS was the person whom had managed to slaughter about half of the zombies in an area? “How old are you, exactly?” I questioned. The kid instantly stopped chuckling, and looked at me like I was stupid. “I’m 14. Yes, I’m short. Do you HAVE to bring it up?” I nod. “Just checking. You can sleep on the couch, until we manage to get another room for you.” Matt nodded. Got it. Anything you want in the morning, by the way? I tend to wake up early.”
“Just fetch some pork chops and food. We’re running low,” I say as I make my way upstairs to my room. And finally, the weight of the day from fighting piled up, and I fell into a deep, dark sleep.

I stood in a long, dark hall, made completely out of a dark marble and other precious materials. The other end was obscured in mist, and I suspected that this hall would continue forever. Torches were placed along the columns near the sides of the hall, but the light didn’t seem to travel far enough to light the entire space. Tapestries were hanging from the walls, depicting scenes of sadness, like the end of a battle, or a kid who didn’t fit in...
“Hello Julian. Welcome to part of my abode.” a voice muttered. Julian turned to find a tall figure, covered in black clothing, all of it soaking in blood. But his face was the real horror. A perfectly normal face, except for the eyes. The eyes were completely white, and glowed with an inhuman light. I took a step back. In response, he took a step forward. “Silly boy,” the man rasped. “You think to take my servants from me, bend them to your will? Oh, we will see about that. Silly boys don’t live very long, Julian, and you are a very, very silly boy.” I took one step back, and then turned to run, when the man’s fist reached out and grabbed the back of my shirt, tearing it. “Oh no you won’t, Julian. Not yet. I just need you to tell your little protector Notch that he isn’t the only person in the universe that can create things, oh no.” At this, the man let go of my shirt, and I ran, right into the mist at the end of the corridor

I open my eyes, to find Kate staring at my face, worry painted in her eyes. She sighed when I started to get up, and stood. “Another dream?” she asked. I nodded my head. Kate knew that something was different, but she didn’t bring it up. We went downstairs, grabbed a couple of pork chops, and went downstairs to the lounge. We relaxed there for half an hour, relaxing on the sofa together. Around that time, Matt came down. Now, we could really get a good look at him. Despite his shortness, his eyes had the sharpness of a teenager, and he swept them over us and smiled. “Come on, lazies! Sun a’ shining, plants a’ growing, creepers a’ creeping!” he said cheerfully. I smiled at him, and stood up, Kate behind me. “I’m going to try some mining,” I informed Matt. “We’re running low on stone and iron. And pretty much everything else. Do you think you could go chop some trees?” Matt saluted to me. “Sir, yes sir!” Matt did a pivot, and was gone. I turned to Kate, who instantly said, “I’m going with you.” I shook my head. “We need someone at the base. Sorry.” Kate shrugged, muttered something (rude) under her breath, and was off.
I grabbed the last pickaxe we had, already chipped up and broken, and my sword. Last of all, I walked outside, to find Matt being used as a seat by a creeper. The creeper in question was Word-Learner, one of the creepers that had unknowingly taught me the language. I still didn’t know exactly how I knew (considering that all the creepers were coloured like leaves and didn’t have any differences that I knew of) but I called out his name anyway. “Word-Learner. Why are you sitting on my fellow companion?”
At this, Matt stiffened, and looked up at me in horror. Word-Learner, oblivious to the emotions of his chair, replied, “I was here to help you, as Leader-King commanded me. Unfortunately, Short-Old-Child got in the way. I do believe that he was aiming to kill me. Is there a reason for this, Fear-Tongue?”
“Are you a disguised creeper or what?” Matt shouted. I responded, “No.turning to Word-Learner, I then informed him, “He is not aware of my capabilities of speech, nor is he aware of the truce between your clan and mine. I shall inform him immediately, if you would be kind enough to get off of him.” Word-Learner nodded, and stood up. Instantly, Matt shot up, grabbed his sword, and ran behind me. “Why is a creeper there, and more importantly, why are you talking to it?” Matt shivered. I turned to him. “I established a treaty with creepers. I protect them, they protect us. I don’t want to see you killing any of them. Got that?”
Matt nodded slowly, and edged backwards towards the house. “Alright then...see you!” he turned and dashed back through the door, slamming it behind him. I shook my head, and looked back at Word-Learner. “So what’s the message?” I asked. Word-Learner answered, “I am here to escort you when mining. Some of our cave-dwell-brothers are unaware of the truce we have, and Leader-King thinks it would be rather messy to find you again.” I nod my understanding. “Understood. So, shall we?” Word-Learner nods, and we head off to the caves.

Two hours later, and many lengths away from the cave entrance, I was pulling myself through with sheer will. Finding a large iron vein quite close to the cave entrance, I started mining, only to let myself drop down into a ravine. Only a couple of the waterfalls had saved me, but I still lost some of my health. On the other hand, Word-Learner climbed down with ease. I have no idea how, especially considering the only limbs he had were his legs and head, but I didn’t bother to ask. All this was about 20 minutes ago, and right then I was proceeding to climb up the sheer rock face to get to another one of the caverns, and possibly dig my way up from there. I gruntd as my foot lost its hold, but sighed again as it found another one higher up. Using my pick, I had managed to climb upwards using it as a climbing pick, and had made a pair of knives that I strapped to my boots using my semi-abundant supply of string.
I grunted again as I pulled myself up and over the ledge, and fell into the cave. I sighed in relief, and pulled up Word-Learner, who nodded thanks. I turned, and nearly leaped backwards in shock. In front of me were 20 creepers, all hissing. Word-Learner jumped in front of me, and hissed back, causing the other creepers to slowly walk backwards, glaring at me the whole way. I followed, and found myself in a large stone room, moss creeping along the bottom. The word for it in creeper: Creeper-Cave-Birth, and human: Dungeon. I slowly edged around the cave creepers that had gathered around the centre of the rooms, and looked in a chest that had been set near the back, causing me to shout with glee. Inside was a saddle, a bucket, some brown grains, and surely the best thing in there: diamonds. Glorious, reflective, awesome diamonds. I grabbed everything in the chest, nodded my thanks to the creepers, and continued up the cave, up to the surface and sunlight.

I sighed in relief as a speck of light made its way down into the cave, and hurried up to the entrance, where I exited out onto a large open plain. Turning to see Word-Learner, I ask him, “Do you know where we are, Word-Learner?” Word-Learner looks around, and nods. “We are not too far from Forest-Creeper-Home. From there, it is only a minute of walking to get to your home.” I nod, and follow Word-Learner to the camp. When we get there, I wave goodbye to him, now knowing where to go, and make my way back home. As soon as I open the door, Kate jumps up on me, screaming, “You’re back! Where were you? I was worried sick, thinking you had died! Why are you scratched? Were you hurt? By who?” and so on. I calmed her down, and then told her the whole story, going from when I fell into the ravine, when I found the dungeon, and when I finally managed to get out the cave. Kate listened the entire time quietly, and when I was finished, she hugged me, and whispered, “I’m glad you made it out.”
I found it a bit emotional, but hugged back. After 5 minutes, Kate stands and I stand too. She looks at me, smiles, and asks, “What now?”

Andre felt a jolt in the bottom of the wagon as it slowed down and stopped. He smiled. They were finally there. He quickly hopped out of the wagon, and looked around. They had stopped in a large plain, with a forest far off to the north and an ocean to the west. All in all, it was the perfect place to build a settlement. As he was looking around. other people started hopping off the other wagons, or dropping down from the carriage roofs. There were about 27 people, each one leaving their old homes and lives so they could all start new ones. Andre could even see a few children running between the wagons, laughing as they played a game that only they understood. He could also see the older ones, sitting in the carts, telling old stories, talking about old times. And lastly, Andre could see the true people of this new place. Men and women, some walking, some riding, all looking forward to their new homes.
And Andre was the one who would be leading them. As he looked, people came up to where he was, and stared down upon the lovely plain where they would be living. One of them absently tugged his nose, muttering something under his breath. Andre hopped back up on the wagon, and shouted, “People of Arisgard! Today, you give up your old ties, your alliances, feuds, and become a team, as we shall make a new town here. A town where we can work together to benefit us all! I name this new home of ours, where we shall start our new life...Espero!”
The crowd cheered, and Andre smiled. It was time for him to lead.

posted a message on Looking for an RP server
I want a server that actually has Role playing. Just going around by yourself on the other servers like LegendaryCraft is boring, since the only time you ever find another person is if you build together. The RP server I'm looking for should be completely human run, so no markets unless the stalls are manned by people, not mods. Anything will help.
