AAAAAH! I'm so sick of correcting your category mistakes! Put your post in Multiplayer! (I can see you're new here but it's a pretty obvious and easy to use system)
Minecraft forum is a Minecraft related website. It's forum segment is divided into several categories of topics. PLEASE, when posting a new topic, use a category appropriate to the topic. Every day you can see dozens of misplaced topics all over the forum. I am posting this in the Survival category just because I'ts the most viewed and I see most of these mistakes here, and I' m sick of correcting people.
Please, the good people from MinecraftForum have made several categories of posts so it would be easier for people to find posts on a certain topic that interests them. Please, make posts in categories that are designated for them. Thank you.
The 128 blocks rule: If you build a
portal in the nether and go through it it will search for a portal 128 blocks from the coordinates that it's supposed to teleport you, (8 x nether coordinates), if it doesn't find a portal in a 128 block radius it will make another one. If you build another portal in the overworld it will teleport you to the existing one in the nether and it doesn't depend on coordinates but when you go through it it will teleport you to the original one in the overworld. Hope I explained it.
When I update to 1.6 and I get horses will they be able to spawn in an older world anywhere or only in new chunks? I know that dungeon loot works that way, I don't know about horses. Pleas answer only if you know the answer or if you tried it youself.
Yeah, what's the difference between a "house" and a "base" besides the exterior aesthetics?
Seems like a semantics game to me.
A base doesn't have to be underground, but can me a series of connected structures or such. A house seems to pull more to a realistic then a practical type of building as it is based on aesthetics and (in most cases) doesn't have the enterior space to place all your necessities.
