I haven't had a lot of experience with "hardcore" servers, but I think that a ban for two days upon death is really going to deter players. Just my opinion though. The server looks really interesting and fun but I don't think that I would personally want to play if I have to wait two days when dying.

I'm totally with you on the donations. I also dislike the minigames servers. I think that donating for cosmetics is cool, but buying overpowered gear isn't fun for common players that have no money.

posted a message on What kind of server would you like to see? What kind of servers do you not like?

Hello everyone! I would really like to see some creative input on what kind of server you would like to see made and be interested in. Now let me just say first, that I realize there is a million servers out there already. I'm looking to open up a server based off of the peoples (you guys) interest and ideas.

What I want to see come out of this server:

    -A friendly community

-Absolutely NO Pay-2-Win (This server won't need donations to stay running, but they can be put towards adding onto the server or for running more smoothly)

-Activities that keep players.. well.. playing.

I want to hear what you would like to see in a server. I would also like to hear what you dislike about servers. Maybe you would like to see a roleplay server with races and classes, along with arenas and quests. Perhaps you would like to see a more mellowed out server experience that's based off of farming. It's all on the table. I want to hear all ideas and suggestions to make a friendly server for everyone.

Also, before anyone starts saying this won't be done. Let me assure you that I have owned a few servers in the past that have done relatively well. They had an average of 30- 50 players and were self sustaining in terms of the server staying up. If I see a really interesting idea that I think could bring a big enough following I will be creating that server.

I appreciate any input. Think of your ideas as an investment. Your idea could come to life and be something that you will enjoy playing for some time to come!

posted a message on What was your favorite non-P2W server that went down? What did you like about it over other servers? Why did it go down?

This actually sounds like a pretty fun server. It seems similar to something I have played in the past. It's weird, servers today seem to be a lot different than they used to be.

Hello everyone, I'm hoping to get a little consensus on what kind of servers go down that people really enjoyed. I have been a part of the minecraft community since the beginning and have noticed the influx of p2w servers. I'm not looking to get into a heated discussion over p2w servers. I'm simply stating that as a long time player I have noticed a lot more servers that are pushing for donations, and those donations give advantages over people that have the money to buy them.

Anyways, I'm looking to open up a server within the near future. Nothing crazy, I just want to see what people are looking for that's no longer around.

My favorite server that went down was called TraderCraft. It was up for quite some time, but ended up going down because it was a family owned server and they were just looking to retire it after the many years of it being open. This was an awesome RPG based server with deep lore, and many classes and races. There were quests that you could do with other players every day, and even bosses. The great thing about this server, was that it was not p2w. Sure, you could buy a rank that gave you a "title" and some money, but they stuck with making it fair to all players.

So as it says in the title:

What was your favorite non-P2W server that went down?

What did you like about it over other servers?

    Why did it go down?

He's not in hiding lol. He just doesn't follow this mod as much as he does his others. Ec. CustomNPC's. He also has a discord specifically for asking questions. If you are going to be a content creator you have to expect questions about the content that you created.

Is it possible to only allow players to play with certain models from other mods? I don't really want players flying around as bats or being spiders. I'm trying to make it so they can only be a handful of races, rather than the animals ect.
