If you haven't got in trouble at school, you are either a master at self control, or a robot.

Or maybe the teachers and school stuff are reasonable and won't punish you for every stupid thing you do. I've been going to 3 different schools till now and I have never got in trouble, even though I broke many rules. That's simply because it's stupid to punish anyone for doing something minor.
The only time I recall someone got in trouble is when he got in a fight with another student and punched his nose causing him to bleed. He went to a psychologist for a talk and his parents were called into school but that's about it, no physical punishment or something like that.

If anyone has any objections feel free to express them.

An APU build will be cheaper and slightly weaker and you can go with codo's suggestion. But I'm not really sure which one has better price:performance.

FXAA looks terrible in skyrim at least and FXAA to work right has to be built into the game so I doubt we will see it in Battlefield 3 any time soon. FXAA does a good job at removing aliasing at the cost of making the whole screen very blurred. MLAA 2.0 looks nice combined with MSAA and a lot better then FXAA. MLAA is AMD new type of AA and does not need to be built into the game.

    -snip

FXAA is not even close to the quality FSAA or MSAA + MLAA 2

Well that's what Kepler is suppost to do: make FXAA better and make it run with every game how it should. There haven't been any tests to confirm that FXAA works better since the card is new, but that's what Nvidia claims. Also FXAA forced through drivers and FXAA enabled in game (or any other graphical setting) are a different story.

Nvidia has also invented a new AA method called TXAA but that also remains to be seen.

Still, according to the benchmarks seen the GTX680 offers best price:performance up to date among the high end cards.

You do realize it has HIGHER FPS with MSAA on right?

Since it's still above 60 FPS that would make the 7970 superior in the situation.

Yeah, it is true that the 7970 runs Metro better with MSAA but that's because MSAA wasn't Nvidia's main concern. Instead they have decided to work on a different form of anti-aliasing which is called FXAA. It has the same quality as MSAA and a 60% less perfomance hit minimal, which makes it optimal for gaming. My bet is that FXAA will become the dominant form of anti-aliasing in a year or so.

The new drivers that came out today allow you to turn on FXAA in any game even if the game doesn't support it. To put it as simply as possible, you can play games without jagged edges with only a fraction of performance hit that MSAA gave us.

Only if I had posted the benchmarks days ago.
    O wait I did.
    http://www.minecraft...er-performance/

Also wolf forget CUDA Nvidia complete screwed up on the computer performance on this GPU it is out done by the GTX 580. Hell its out done by AMDs cards in a lot of compute stuff.

Sure for right now its cheaper but in a day or two we will see AMD drop its price.

AMD is the only choice for multi monitor set up Nvidia surround is terrible and can't touch Eyefinity. AMD also open sourced its proprietary driver for the 7 series so we should see massive improvements in the Linux drivers for it.

Yes gaming performance is higher but all this means is the 7970 will get cheaper and for people who do workstation rendering on there computers can get a 7970 that trashes Nvidia at a lower price.

Nice to see Nvidia dropping the GPGPU stuff they have been pushing for years to switch to gaming performance as a gamer I think this is good but I am sure some workstation people are not happy.

Those are third-party benchmarks from two days ago with beta drivers.
This is the review that came out today with new drivers: http://www.tomshardw...hmark,3161.html

As you can see gtx 680 beats amd 7970 in ALL games, produces less noise and has a much better performance per wat.
The 7970 however, leaves the gtx 680 in the dust in computing power and produces slightly less heat on load.

All in all gtx 680 wins in gaming by a longshot which is what this card was designed for.
Also the base price of the gtx 680 is 500$ while the 7970 is 550$

posted a message on QUESTION: Why are those crazy liquid cooling loops needed?
Well my friend overclocked his phenomx2 from 2.4ghz to 4.5ghz with water cooling, not sure if you could that with a fan.And also the biggest plus for me is that the noise is almost nonexistent.
The problem is that it takes a lot of space in the case and if, for some reason, fluid gets out it can damage your comp pretty badly.

Yes, and it should also be encased in an adamantium shell, so it doesn't melt if it accidentally falls into lava.

Pricing will go the same route as the Core 2 processors. Once Ivy Bridge is out, it won't be long before the price of Sandy Bridge processors have doubled in price. So if anybody is looking to use an Intel processor in their next build, you're gonna have to be quick to either get an Ivy Bridge if prices aren't bad, or snag a Sandy before prices skyrocket.

Where did you get this from?
I mean it doesn't make any sense

Well, since both versions(retail and steam) are tied to steam, there should be no difference. And yes, I was reffering to RELOADED.

If anyone finds a no-Steam crack that is compatible with the latest patch, I'd appreciate it if they pointed me in that direction.

Just download "update 5" for Skyrim and paste it where it's installed. It includes both the 1.4 update and the crack.
