Jul 31, 2012I don't see what's wrong with the temps, 60 C is in no way a danger zone for the cpu and IMO it's pretty good for 4 Ghz overclock at 100% load, though I have no idea how it compares to other i5-2500k overclocks. Also room temperature should be taken into consideration as it directly affects the temps in the case(temps wont be same at day and night for example).Posted in: Computer Science and Technology

IIRC, don't you have to put it in the 1st and 3rd if you have 2 DIMMS or else the motherboard doesn't recognize the ram?
I have my dimms in 2nd and 4th slot and it works fine.

BF3 uses more than 2 cores, ive had a 2.93GHz Dual core, and my bf3 ran at 20fps on low. i got a 2600k (quad core) now its running at 40-60 ultra.
That's because your CPU used an older architecture and also Battlefield 3 never uses more than 2 cores:

Enermax isn't near as reliable as Antec, Corsair, XFX, etc.
I've never had any experience with Enermax myself but I heard people rating their build quality even above Seasonic. I don't think they're that good but they are very good psu-s for sure.

Have you checked your BIOS settings? Is this perhaps an OEM motherboard (eg a pre-built from Dell / HP / Gateway / whatever)?
It is a P7P55 LX from ASUS and I bought it myself.Oh and I'll check the bios settings if I can't find any other way to do it (if it's possible without buying any extra controllers that is).
Jun 28, 2012So I have a front case fan which is constantly spinning at around 700 RPM regardless if the system is idle or not. The fan is too loud to me so I'm asking is there any way to reduce the RPM, at least when it's idle because it's really unnecessary to spin that fast?Posted in: Computer Science and Technology

Which is why your download speed plummeted, because no seeders existed. Anyway, not sure if this discussion violates the forum rules, but watch out. Discussing piracy on these forums is in a gray area on the rules.
Implying torrents are illegal of course. He didn't say anything about the content he was downloading.

Cooler Master's silent pro series is made by Seasonic, Seasonic, as you might know, also makes majority of the good models of the other PSU brands.
Actually Silent pro series are made by Enhance Electronics. Here's some referral links:
But still Silent pro series are probably among the best psu-s out there.
Jun 9, 2012Bodakan posted a message on My friend asked me to select the parts for his new gaming pc, is this good?If you disable a thing called ubersampling in Witcher 2, you'll get 60 fps with a gtx670 for sure.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Here is what ubersampling is anyway:
Ubersampling: high quality rendering mode under which whole scenes are rendered multiple times to provide the best possible textures, object details and anti-aliasing (superior to anti-alias and anisotropy even on the highest settings). Use with caution, only on top-end computers (best possible in terms of both GPU and CPU).

whats speccy and HWMonitor?
Speccy is a program that shows the hardware you have in your computer.
HWMonitor is a hardware monitoring program that reads PC systems main health sensors : voltages, temperatures, fans speed.
Just install one of those and post a screenshot here.
