posted a message on [WIP] Harder Minecraft Mod [In lack of a better name]
    Hello there.

Yes, I'm very much aware that this is by far not the first mod trying to do this. "This" is to implement minor and major changes to Minecraft, making it an extended and more challenging type of game. The thing is that most of those I tried are not too good. Some are just bad, some add too much random and unnecessary things. A lot of modders and "modders" out there does this because it's simple. It's simple to increase a creeper's explosion radius, a zombie's attack strength and a skeleton's health, add a new zombie and change it's texture and call it your own mob. Sincerely, this mod will actually include some changes like this too, but mainly by redoing the mobs to make them harder to deal with, more powerful and actually giving you a reason to be scared when a creeper sights the new house you worked so hard on. I also have a ton of ideas in my 'ideas.txt'. For now I have redone the most common overworld monsters (zombie, skeleton, slime, creeper, enderman), and I'm calling it v0.1. I know this isn't much of a mod, but I figured it might be smart to publish my ideas early, so here I am.

Please let me hear your opinions on this, and most importantly, give me your suggestions! As I said, it's not only tweaking the mobs to be more powerful, but somehow extending the game to the better in several different ways. But as far as extensions go, I want to keep things "realistic". I don't want to add a superultraomega tool that's infinite and works as all tools in one, neither do I want to add 8 new dimensions, 115 new mobs, 18 new useless ores or 586 new biomes. I'm thinking about new things. Things that add something to the game, but still does not remove the core values. This is why I'm very open to your ideas and suggestions, and those are definitely going to be my main focus. What do you want to add? Any sort of mobs your miss?

Some of the things in my previously mentioned 'ideas.txt' are bigger, harder dungeons with small bosses (thinking Skeleton King in a skeleton dungeon etc.) and bigger loot, some sort of nether boss (maybe we could use the wither) as well as some sort of overworld boss? I'm also planning to add a couple of new ores and mobs for the sake of extension, but they should have more of a purpose than just existing, so I'm listening to all sorts of ideas. Also minor tweaks to the game are welcome, if there's something you think is bad with the game I will not completely remove things, but I can change things. Any ideas are welcome.

And lastly, I'm a modder, not a modeler/designer. Just gonna be completely honest and say that if I were to design textures or model entities, this mod would not go anywhere whatsoever. So if you're good with modeling, texturing, or modding (a modding team would be very helpful) you're very welcome to join. Just PM me, telling me what you want to do, and perhaps examples of what you've done before. Age is not important, skill is. So please leave me a message, and I will reply as soon as possible.

I hope you're liking my ideas, and are happy to come with yours. You're the users, after all, hopefully :)

Another marvelous stage. I really like how you use the command blocks as checkpoints. Although, I have a couple of suggestions for you. You should definitely use Fire Resistance II potions, they last longer. As well, the fire that's literally all over the place when you burn, is very annoying. I suggest putting some water at the checkpoints.
I don't know how you calculate the difficulty of your stages, but in my opinion, this should be a 'Very hard' stage. Especially, but not based of, that C2, Serene Garden is a 'Hard' stage (e.g.).

Again, really nice stage. I look forward to Zone D.

Okey. This took me a long time, and surprised me. In a good way. It's amazing how you continuously come up with new twists, new jumps, and new ways to think parkour-wise. It makes it so it's never boring to play your maps. The narrow jumps was hard, but you just have to get used to them. The ladder-slide kinda thing that appears first in stage 23-7 (or 23-6?) is a . But now I make them 8 times out of 10.
The best stage was indeed 23-10. It's just a summary of the whole challenge. It would fit with a sign saying: "There you go! All the jumps you hate, collected in to one big stage!". I really like that you add mini-checkpoints, though.
And that last part on 23-10... I first-tried it (surprised myself), but I was scared as hell, I must say. C23 is definitely harder than C13.

I'm currently timing myself on all the challenges. I will post the results on this thread when I'm done :)
Thanks for still working on the map. Cheers.

I've looked forward to this release :)
I'm gonna post another post when I've made it through challenge 23. I hope it gives me a challenge of the few ;)

    Quote from Zeh_Cappazz

    Hey Tetrix,

I'm a big fan of your map, and while playing (for the 3rd time) I discovered a little bug/glitch.
In stage 8-15 (Cave Ruins) I discovered a little bug/glitch where you can jump from a place 3 jumps from the starting area to a bit further point. To make it more clear, I have a picture:

I also made a possible solution (I tested it), that also makes the jump after it a bit harder (if you fall you'll have to do it all over again)

Anyway, I hoped I helped and I will proceed further with your map, and I will continue searching for little bugs ;)

I have discovered this as well. I actually went the wrong way the first time :P
I didn't report it, since I actually thought it was the correct way. While playing it a second time, I saw it, but didn't know if it was intended or not.

After 3 legal completions of stage 13, I really look forward to you add the map with 'Insane' difficulty, if you still plan on doing. Epic work, still. And grats, AntVenom :)
