Heres the great benefit of having a pure community based game:
You don't HAVE to use anything they make, turn on village and dungeon generation, don't kill enderman, throw what you don't like in lava.
Simple.
Stop complaining and man up, otherwise leave the game.

Listen, some people like these are 'forced' to use these. Why? let me explain.
Since it does stuff like help mine faster, make your sword stronger, and all of that it makes them WANT to use it. However this is 'unoriginal' to them so they want it removed, and I kinda agree to that part, magic just doesn't really fit minecraft's style but heck I like it.
What these people really wanted so that minecraft could evolve was just more stuff like more blocks, items, mobs, and stuff like strongholds. None of these other additions.
And the reason most people don't wanna play the old versions is cause its boring, they want more stuff like I said above but just they hate the magic part.
So yeah, but for the most part I agree with you they should just mod it out if they want.
