Some people have a sense of superiority that they get from not "tainting the creation" and playing vanilla. Some people genuinely enjoy it more and don't want some shitty HUD mods and horribly coded extra mobs running around when they're just wanting to punch trees.
Are we ever going to see these again? I've heard that Notch mentioned bringing back Indev style worlds, but I've also heard he took this back, or never said it at all.
The limitless worlds are great, I'm not complaining, but there was a certain charm to self-sustaining yourself on a little tropical island with no outside resources and just living the life.
Have we heard anything new about this, and I'm just out of the loop, or is it still up in the air at this point?
Zombies are supposed to be dumb, spiders are insects, Skeletons are also undead, and Creepers kill themselves for giggles whenever a player is nearby, even if it won't kill them.
In my Infdev game, I'm playing as a seafaring adventurer, never going on land other than to explore or hunt. Now, this is fun, but the boats currently aren't very suited for this purpose. The move you around, but that's about it. I'm suggesting a boat with a chest in it for item storage, and possibly onboard weapons that would work only in the water, something as simple as a basic cannon to take out mobs close to the shore.

I'd say the intelligence levels fit pretty well.

I thought this was a Creeper in Evel Knievel's costume.
I'm so disappointed now.
