posted a message on complain about anything

My JAG watch was somewhat tight because I wanted to try it without one of the links, and when my wrist flexed, the clip broke and now it's utterly buggered.

Well without a power supply, mobo, and other vital parts, none at all.

    All jokes aside, a lot.

Both have their pros and cons and the choice is generally just personal preference, not "this is better because..."

I use android and have since I got my first smartphone. I've only have 1 iPhone (a 4s) and it just wasn't what I wanted and I preferred the look and feel of an S5. I now have an Xperia XZ which is probably my favourite phone to date.

posted a message on Does this look like someone who used X-Ray?

From my understanding, x-ray highlights ores, not stone (etc). I may be wrong, it could highlight blocks surrounding ores and lava within a certain circumference, but I'm about 65% sure that it is only ores.

5 days later. Easily one of my favourite purchases. The decal from "the decal guru" is yet to arrive, though I guess that's what I get for paying for the cheapest shipping and expecting it to come to AUS from the states quickly. My bad...

It's quite frankly my all-time favourite laptop at this point. Works like an absolute charm and I'm becoming more and more competent with keyboard shortcuts which is what I was initially struggling to get a grasp on.

It provides no actual advantage whatsoever in actual gameplay, that being said aesthetically it would be a cool addition. I'm neutral on the matter because in all honesty I couldn't care less if I tried, but it's an alright idea just one that doesn't personally apply to me.

    Galaxy S3.

Didn't want to bring up my Rebel T1i because I'd break it.

That's awesome. Goes to show you don't need expensive to gear to take good shots.
That being said, I did recently win a canon 70d...

Finally, someone I can relate with....

I've owned a 2012 rMBP 15" for almost 4 years now, and it's been a great laptop. So far out of dozens of laptops I've used, Macbooks still have the best build quality, the best track pad, and it's pretty damn thin for having a Quad Core i7 inside it.

People love to s**t on apple products all the time here, but if you're invested in their ecosystem and you aren't obsessed with performance, Apple's devices aren't bad. Obviously they are not the best bang4buck when it comes to gaming, but if you're like me and already have a dedicated gaming desktop, than a light, powerful, thin, Macbook is a pretty good option.

Exactly. The 15 inch pro isn't *super* light like I had hoped for, but I have found a laptop bag that has a dedicated camera compartment too which is pretty perfect for me considering I like grabbing cinematic shots everywhere I go. Since I posted I've learnt a lot of keyboard shortcuts that I knew on a windows computer. It's becoming more and more enjoyable to use, even though I already liked it.
You're god damn right about the trackpad. It's insane how smooth it is. I think this particular model and upward has a glass one... could be wrong.

posted a message on First Impressions of a Macbook

I've always been a windows/pc user. My experiences with apple have always been restricted to mobile phones, though I jumped back to samsung, and iPads. Both have very simple user interfaces.

I decided that I needed a new laptop, and thought I should try something new, so I bought the highest spec 15 inch 2015 macbook pro. The 2016 with touchbar was too expensive to justify buying. Plus I didn't want to have to spend more on adapters for the USB C only issue.

So far, hardware-wise, I love it. It feels so clean, sturdy, and just a premium product I'd expect from dishing out over 3 grand. The keyboard is great, just like any other laptop keyboard, the trackpad is awesome. I love the whole pressure touch thingy, comes in handy when writing and reading essays #instantdictionary. Software-wise, I'm still learning. I should probably find a good tutorial on the basics of the OS. I don't really understand what control option and command do. If anyone can point me in the right direction for a guide, that'd be awesome. Aside from having to learn how to use the new OS, I still end up finding out that performing tasks is usually just done in a fairly logical way, just a matter of figuring it out.

It's also super quick. I was able to render a fairly hefty video in 15 minutes. Branch off to that, Final Cut Pro (torrented, cbs spending another $500) is awesome. Weird to learn, but easy once learned. Sort of like anything I guess.

The colour is also good, because I saw all of those black silhouette decals you can put on the lid of the laptop, so I got myself an "evil monkey" one. I may post a photo once it arrives. I am in Australia though and I paid for the cheapest postage, so that may be a while.

I still use a desktop PC for gaming, but this little beast (though 15 inch isn't that small) is intended to serve me as a video editing and programming machine. So far it's been doing a great job and I'm happy I made the purchase. Not really sure why so many people hate mac, I came into this optimistic and wasn't disappointed. Only a little bit confused :P

I have around 2000 hours on warframe from the official launcher, but steam only shows around 900 of them from when I started using it about a year ago. My mate has the highest (over 8000 hours) on warframe.
