    64 bit is indeed the only Java installed. Allocating more RAM allows Minecraft access to more memory to function. I use Sphax 512x, and normally it runs perfectly fine with how I have it set up. Minecraft has just been ignoring the RAM allocation I have put forth.

    I am having problems with the launcher. Out of nowhere it is ignoring my use of the java arguments built into the profile editor. In the JVM Arguments, I have put -Xmx10G, I have 16gbs of RAM, and yet when I bring up F3 in game, it is only allocating 455MB. I have gotten it to allocate the proper amount before, it has just started to randomly ignore it.

    Here is the crash report from after 1 time I actually got it to load with the right RAM, and was able to select my resource pack of choice:
