Very, very well said. It seems stupid to have to pay money to lift a restriction on a vanilla component of the game. Above all else, it looks like a desperate attempt to make money off of a server. Accepting donations from elsewhere seems fine, but restricting chat simply because you choose to play the game without donating is just absurd.

Thank you in advance. Your example artwork looks amazing, by the way.
Honestly, I rather like this idea. I can think of times in the past where this would have been useful for me, as well as some applications for it in the future. Support.
Personally, I've been trying to incorporate redstone into my survival worlds. I try to automate different everyday activities, like farming, smelting etc. I feel like it adds somewhat of a challenge for me (mainly because I'm not too great with redstone), not only making the devices, but also collecting the materials (cough, cough, slimeballs, cough).
Honestly, I haven't yet heard of a server being shut down due to the EULA (not saying that it hasn't happened, because it may have already, I'm not really sure at this point). There are still plenty of servers going about violating the EULA, whether they know it or not, and I have seen no action being taken against them. Perhaps Mojang, if they have shut down some servers for EULA violation, chooses not to publicly share this data.
I don't really think we need a new bow at this time, considering the one that we already have is perfectly fine. Kinda feel like this is a little pointless.
If you're looking for an awesome survival server with a great community and great staff, look no further than Mystery Lunch. The people here are honestly some of the kindest, most helpful people you can find around, making your experience on this server that much better. The staff is also exceptionally friendly and welcoming, as well as very active. Mystery Lunch is a great server, and I'd recommend this to any player, new or experienced.
It's not possible to spawn a certain villager, let alone any villager, in survival mode (although there are ways of doing so in Creative). The wiki states "Villagers naturally spawn in villages inside various buildings." Once they've spawned, there's nothing you can do to intervene. Your best bet would be to try to find another village in hopes of finding a villager with the butcher profession.
EDIT: Haha, completely forgot about breeding them. That's an option as well.
Personally, from my past experience and from what I have seen, new large hub servers with no player base seem to shut down rather quickly due to a lack of activity on the server. I've seen a few in the past that start out and get a decent number of people on opening day, only to have very few members actually return and play again. Although, I've never owned a server, so I could be wrong. I think that it would be better to start out relatively small and get your server out there and known, perhaps establishing a community of some sorts, with a good number of people returning on a regular basis. From there on, I'd think that it would be easier to work your way up.
If you're not using any mods, this might be as a result of your texture pack, as they can change the look of mobs. From the looks of it, I think this might be a Zombie (modified texture). You could always try reverting to the default texture pack to see.
I certainly think that YouTube played a significant role in exposing Minecraft to a broader audience. In fact, I'd say social media as a whole assisted Minecraft in growing and becoming the game it is today, spreading word of the game, in a sense. As more and more people discovered the game, there's no doubt that the outreach of Minecraft grew even further.
