posted a message on Why is Minecraft so Resource-Demanding?
    Quote from Sabinno

    Title says it all.
Is it because of Java? I mean, not even the craziest of modern games run as hot as Minecraft.
On another note, I feel as if Minecraft, if it were written in a compiled language, would be a vast improvement over its current implementation in the virus that is Java.
It isnt really. depends on your hardware mostly and how well it handles rendering the chunks.

    Quote from aNaturalCause

    Ok - So this is a $249.99 laptop -

You can always go by the phrase you get what you pay for - If you are going to spend $250 on a laptop that is all you are going to get out of it. It is not a gaming laptop by far. This laptop is good for desktop applications - Word, Excel, Email - etc. . we have this exact laptop at work and we use it for our warehouse inventory.

    Lets talk about the processor:
    Intel® Celeron® processor N2820

2.13GHz (with Intel® Burst up to 2.39GHz) This is a pretty slow processor if you want to game.
Will it run Minecraft? probably -
Will it run Minecraft without lagging - No

    Graphics
    Intel® HD graphics
Feature 64MB dedicated video memory - this is not even enough to run Minecraft by itself let alone anything else game wise.

Overall this laptop is not good for gaming - this laptop is mostly going to be good for surfing the web and thats about it.
I suggest to save up some more money so you can get a better laptop.

Acer Aspire V5-552-X814 would be a good choice
Intel HD Graphics can handle Minecraft at decent frame rate. And almost any game made before 2007. The main problem with this guy's laptop is the total RAM of the computer.

    Quote from himselfXD

I still think people are just being butthurt that their stuff got destroyed.
You sound like a totally nice person. *Sarcasm*.Greifing isn't part of the game. It's the common act of breaking, placing blocks which is granted to every player. It's like saying because I have a weapon for sport I should still hurt someone.

You need to see the other side of the view. Imagine yourself building something great that your spent hours on that fills you with pride and joy. You log off or leave from the area. The next time you come back all those hours of hard work and joy are gone along with your creation. And all that's there is now is a pile of rubble with a sign saying something rude or offensive, or a group of fully diamond armored 10 year olds spawn camping the living hell out of you and calling you bad stuff they probably shouldn't say.

    Quote from Kickass_Unicorn

One day I played on my favorite server. Then I quit and made a list of my servers. Next day, I was perm banned from all of them and replacing them, was inappropriate things such as sexycraft, sexcraft, or craft

I forgot to mention my username, its Arsilon
Well if your account was hacked by someone on a different computer, they would not be able to modify your server list in the first place. This most likely sounds like an arsehole friend or sibling who did this.

This is pretty crappy satire if it is, I can't tell sarcasm or satire online. either way redstone machines are what "powers" minecraft's engineer/coding audience. It'd be pathetic if redstone was nerfed.

Get a new laptop. My friends say my Inspiron is laggy (yes I got the laptop) but it's fine.
Welcome to the Inspirion club. Just don't try to play any game made past 2011 or your gonna have a bad time. altough some games work fine. It's really hit or miss when it comes to any games with Intel HD.

I have Intel Integrated Graphics. there is no way to replace the graphics card unless you have one of the like 15% of Laptops that can be configured hardware wise. You could hook up a video card to your laptop externally but you need an expresscard slot in your laptop.

posted a message on How many fps is Minecraft
Actually no, Youtube's framerate is how videos are shown, if the games are running faster the video will still show the same fps as the player on the video, just not on the viewers screens.
    Quote from cd5696

Youtube plays videos at 30 FPS, so that is what you should record at.

your question doesn't make sense, Ill provide an answer a computer would probably say. VSync keeps a steady 60 FPS if turned on.
