So eventually Notch will make it easier to install your own Texture packs. I'm asking that there be bug fixes for 512x512 texture format. Which is 4x the resolution as the normal. Allowing you to add a lot more detail.
I'm so used to my personal texture pack the old physically hurts my eyes to play with it.
I find myself waiting patiently in my mine and or house during night time, just holding out for daytime.
The sun finally rises, you wait another 2 minutes for the creepers and spiders disappear and then you can finally go exploring this vast, wonderous landscape . . . for about 5 minutes. Then it's a quick run back to the house to wait, bored for another 9 minutes.
Do you wish day/night cycle was longer or at least could be altered?
P.S. I've played minecraft for a while now and I find strip mining unbearably boring, so I only use natural caves now.
I know there are suggestions similar to this, yet browsing them I noticed they where just drab walls of text. Well this thread has pretty colours! and therefore demands your attention.
I think rare materials are cool. We currently have clay, cactus and reeds. (The last two not so much when you start harvesting).
So this is basically adding to the awesomeness.
The Pink-Flower Tree:
The Pink-Flower Tree is visually striking, and extremely rare. No base would be complete without a nice garden full of Pink-Flower Trees. If you're lucky enough to find one, don't get too excited. Unlike normal trees, the Pink Flower Tree only drops 1 sapling! On rare occasions it may drop 2 or even 3. As well as taking longer to fully mature, The Pink-Flower Tree will remain a valuable material for weeks!
But wait, there's more!
If you start harvesting The Pink-Flower, as demonstrated here:
You'll notice the inside is unusually dark! What happens when we try refine the timber?
Yay! we also get a rare wood type. Will you decide to harvest the wood, or keep your Pink-Flower Trees? The decisions are mind boggling.
- The "Pink Flowers"
- Dark Planks.
- Light Timber. (I would make the dark crevices darker)
If this thread is not in violation of any rules I will continue to add my custom made textures. (New plants wont be so simple)
Click-mining is a skill, I don't see at as a bug either. If dropping your item and picking it up again is allowed, I'm certain click-mining is. [Assuming no 3rd party programs are used.]
I didn't clean up a lava cube, only lava that I cleaned up was the lava directly to the left of the stairs, Was it you who had that there? If it wasn't why did you build where someone had allready built?
They have a server rule, put signs on what is yours. There were no signs.
It was when we first started digging, Dark. There was lava falling from the ceiling in what seemed to be a sealed room.
They accused us of being the ones who sealed it in the first place. I found all these signs over the base, covered in expletives and describing how they griefed and stole.
On the Vanillacraft server the city of KoL was heavily griefed.
Apparently while building the underground city directly beneath KoL we accidently cut into a small mining area. Belonging to a neighboring group. They thought we intentionally griefed their small mine and in retaliation griefed a spider dungeon, griefed the underground city and stole many resources.
The ridiculous thing is that this is just one small branch off a larger mine that we cut into, covering a huge area. It also went directly under the city.
UPDATE: Dark, remember how you helped clean up that lava, in the sealed room? Well that was their "Lava Cube" and they retaliated by destroying the spider dungeon.
I've learnt my lesson when it comes to public servers. Quite demoralizing as I feel the string of griefing will continue.
Disappointed, felt like the old one was better. Looks very... out of place, that's just my opinion though. Not to mention it was done with 3rd party programs.
it was built by hand dude.
I was referring to INVedit. As a doubt they found natural sponge and ice :tongue.gif:

Yet fire, water, lava (and I'm assuming hell portals) don't show.
Some blocks such as brick, Iron, Gold and Diamond are very glitchy.
Please notch, consider this!

You could have mined 2 blocks away from lava without even knowing it, the TNT will eventually catch fire.

Just tell him Garry's Mod doesn't have mobs and tiered items.

For every 1 clay there is 16 diamond.
However, clay is always exposed to the surface, diamond is buried deep underground in a 3 dimensional maze.
Clay is far more common than diamond, you can get about 6 stacks in an hour.

Natural progression for me was:
Dirt House
Wood House
Iron
Diamond
Dungeon
Underwaterbase
Castle
SMP
House
Tower
City
After making an entire city with a dozen residents (so far) I'm not sure what else to do...
