Is there a way without mods using creative to make floating gravity affected blocks like sand?
As a practice for some map ideasI have floating around in my head I have been trying to recreate Skyblock but can't get the sand blocks to stay in the air. I can place them in a 3x3 using /fill command easy enough. I've read many posts but all are older and out of date it would seem (as they don't work) and nothing new enough to work in 1.8.7.
Can't use MCEdit as I'm a Mac guy and it seems to be PC only.
I love this map! The only reason why I don'y play it that much is because I can only get certain types of blocks. For example, I have a limited number of diamonds, or it is impossible to get lapis lazuli. It would be awesome to get EVERY single type of block in the game, without cheating.
Can anyone help with blazes? I keep making platforms in "Nether Fortress" Chunks but no blazes spawn. Is it possibly related to the fact that I'm using 1.8.6?

Nether Fortress chunks are very height dependant. You have to have not only the area but the height at which there is non-existant nether fortress parts. In the Skyblock link at the beginning you have to get to the spot then go down around 8 blocks or so if you are at the edge of where it should be.
Sounds like you know how to find it so I'll leave that part out.
