My character automatically opens doors without me commanding him to. For some odd reason, it only does this while using this texture pack. (I also use Gerudoku's)
I don't remember this happening the last time I used this pack. (Pre 3.1 updates...) Was this an addition to the pack? Some sort of mod? It's weird. Kind of annoying too.
Also, whenever I walk to my bed, my character automatically tries to get in over and over. No commands or anything.
Any clues? Or is this intentional - in which case I'm slower than even I thought.

I finally got Wild Grass/BetterLight-BetterGrass to work with this pack. Looked AMAZING. Then, just for giggles I switched my text pack to Gerudoku's. (Using MCPatcher) Minecraft played but no wild grass. I switched it back to LB Photo Realism and still no wild grass.
Wasn't sure exactly where to first post this question. Either here or over on Wild Grass thread, but this thread is usually really helpful so there you go.
Okay! Finally got it working!!! Thanks for all the help!
I refreshed my minecraft.jar and started over.
For me, it was the order of the downloads. So I downloaded the patcher FIRST. Better Light Better Grass SECOND. And wild grass THIRD and last. Ran the patcher - copy pasted files - etc. etc. PRESTO! I'm stoked!!! Thanks for the wonderful mod. Using the LB Realism Pack with this mod is flipping wonderful. So nice and lush.
The only things I've downloaded for Minecraft and that work are as follows:
MC Patcher - which I use to switch to and from my two packs:
GERODUKO's Text Pack
LB Photo Realism Text Pack - which is the pack I'm trying to run Wild Grass with.
MC MapDeleter/Pine Tree Generator - I've only generated trees with this mod.
TreasureChest - to backup saves
Since all this mess, I've deleted all the Wild Grass versions and the Patcher and ModLoader. Restored my original .jar file. The game works fine. Text Pack and all. So, I suppose I'm on a clean sheet.
What mods are you running?
It's quite possible that you've overwrote a class file when installing the wildgrass that another mod may use. That would cause it to not start up at all.

I did everything EXACTLY as it asked. The only thing I couldn't do was delete META-INF. I couldn't do that, tho, because I never found it! I figured if I couldn't find it, it doesn't matter! I looked twice, just to make sure.
So, I'm out of ideas and nearly thoroughly frustrated. One of you guys think you could lend a hand? I would sure be thankful.

Problem is: I CAN"T USE IT!!!!
It seems that this thread is loaded with "hey help me" and "mine won't work" requests and I'm really very sorry for posting yet ANOTHER one. However I feel like I've read and re-read every possible help post and I still can't get this thing workin'.
I'm on a mac. I download the WildGrass Better Grass (v8.5.1) It downloads as a .RAR file. I also download the ModLoader (v8.5.1) and it also downloads as a .RAR file. Didn't know how to use/open .RAR, so I deleted those downloads to punt again.
Found UnRarX for Macs and now when I downloaded Wild Grass BetterGrass my new expansion program expands the contents into .class files. I tried just moving those files into my Mincraft bin folder but to no avail.
So here I am. Disgusted and embarrassed. I remember when our school FIRST had a computer installed! I remember it was an APPLE! I've been around them all my life and I'm still pretty slow! Unbelievable. So, could I get some help please?!
All of you "Read Before You Post" people are terribly annoying! Trying to find the answer to a single question in a 30+ page thread filled with posts most of which are sidetracks is like finding a needle in a haystack! (Hey! A use for that cliche that actually is applicable! Huh!)
Let's all be a little less condescending about new guys and old issues and just answer the damn questions. Which is more annoying, really: a question that has likely been answered a number of times being posted by a fan of this game we all love OR flaming post about how dumb people are who have questions and who can't devote half an afternoon to reading an entire thread to get the answer because they're stupid and should just go choke themselves rather than bother people?

You know, there really isn't enough support for MAC here in minecraftforums. I'm not complaining, I'm just making a simple point. The majority of user-created content (i.e. Mods, skins, texture packs, etc.) come equipped with Windows only instructions. It really makes playing the game on a MAC more difficult from the standpoint of add-ons.
I run a MAC too. I have two texture packs that I switch to and from with. (LB Photo Realism & Gerudoku) I use the MCPatcher tool to run those packs. I also use the MC MapDeleter/Pine Tree Generator mod alot as well. The other little program I got to work was TreasureChest, to back-up my save files in the event of a meltdown or something.
Those are the only downloaded, Minecraft-specific mods/programs that I've felt comfortable enough to try and figure out - or that came with Mac instructions. I'd like to download more, but as you said, alot of these mods aren't Mac friendly.
I wouldn't want a "MAC Mod Section" or anything like that, but it would be nice if folks would include or contribute Mac-related issues with available mods.
get that and run it however you run java programs on mac... (i have no idea)

Would one of you please, kindly help me out by explaining what to do to RUN this program! I know, I know, I know, it's been discussed endlessly already, but I'm stuck nonetheless. I'm on a MAC, btw. The program downloaded and automatically unzipped - as usual - and is now sitting in it's own folder on my desktop. How the devil do i get into it?
So sorry for clogging the thread with old problems.

absolutly love this pack! It's given me such new inspiration for this game!
Although, I do lag incredibly much while playing. I know it's a big texture pack and all, but is there anything I can do to reduce this? I run an iMAC Quad Core. Thanks for the help!

Just to clarify: If reinstalling the mod doesn't work, then try reinstalling Minecraft altogether?

I've read the most recent posts & I've hung around the Wild Grass thread but haven't gotten anything to go on. Here is what I've tried.
I tried loading by hand. (no patcher or mod loader.) That didn't work.
Then I tried loading WITH the patcher. (still no mod loader.) That didn't work either.
Both times I tried running MC, the login would appear, I would login, and then it would just go away. Nothing.
I know what I'm missing must be something small, but I can't figure it out!
I could sure use a hand. Thanks in advance.
