ffenliv posted a message on Need a circuit to select multiple random outputs from one inputPosted in: Redstone Discussion and MechanismsI'm having some trouble seeing how I'd adapt any of those designs to my needs, which perhaps I didn't explain well.
I need to take a single input (the most likely scenario is signal from a detector rail), which will produce multiple random outputs from a set. So, in my setup, a player rides over a detector rail, and a signal is created. This signal connects to something-or-other which will select 3 from a possible 10 outputs. And selecting the same output twice will bugger everything up, and can't be allowed. Does this make sense?
It's also possible I simply don't understand how what you've posted could be applied to my needs.

ffenliv posted a message on Need a circuit to select multiple random outputs from one inputPosted in: Redstone Discussion and MechanismsDifficulty: no command blocks.
As the title suggests, I need to select, for example, 3 out of 10 possible outputs from a single input. Duplicates outputs (e.g: selecting the same output twice) will screw it up as well. I can find plenty of 1/x designs, but not quite what I'm looking for.
Is what I'm asking for possible, or am I just dreaming?

FirEmerald posted a message on Yet another J/K Flip FlopPosted in: Redstone Discussion and Mechanismsokay I guess. you just need to realize that the design isn't as flexible as some other designs.
input J (on) needs to be of signal strength less than or equal to 12.
input K (off) needs to be of signal strength 15.
output Q is of signal strength 14.you can see the signal strength of a piece of redstone wire by enabling the debug screen (F3) and looking at the redstone, On the right of the debug screen will be some text saying "power: " + a number - that number is the signal strength.
top-left - input J; bottom - input K; right - output Q -

+=redstone
v = downward-facing comparator
<=left-facing comparator
>=right-facing repeater
K(1 <= signal <= 12)
+
v++
+>++out(signal=14)
+<+
_+
_J(signal >= 14)

EPISODE 007 / OUR AMAZING SLEEP WALKING EPISODE
Well, we tried something new and it didn't really work out. Squid definitely wasn't a fan of it. We may try again in the future, but for now, we're going to keep trying partner videos instead of solos.

sladelycon posted a message on Crashes is a problem now.Posted in: MCPS3: DiscussionThat's how it feels, when playing alone it is alright. If you're doing anything special (Especially with other people)(Special being lots of redstone or something that is going constantly) then the ps3 just goes blank. By that I mean the failed to load screen is up.

danaphanous posted a message on Does anyone have any suggestions of interesting ways to make an anvil fall through something?Posted in: Redstone Discussion and MechanismsYou'll want to use pistons if you aren't happy with a fallingsand or setlblock anvil command. You could use a double-piston for a flush celing but simpler still would be to have decorative indents down your hallway. Above the cieling is a sticky piston set up to retract a block with an anvil on top. They step on the plate it falls through. If they are running it might miss them though due to the delay. You could get fancier but that's the basic idea behind falling anvil traps in survival.

I have a build team on ps4. We are massive Minecraft builders. Come see the maps. Add blackops--team to see the and play with the best Minecraft has.

You two are awesome. Keep it up.

A flipflop vs a t flipflop..... By blackops--team. A flipflop can be found in most white peoples homes and can kill spiders. A t flipflop can be found in a setup that turns a button into a switch and it can kill a light.

this is how it works.

How many do you wanna drop? If 8 or less it will be super easy. I can also put in a t-flipflop so it will keep spitting out until you push the button again. So push the button the clock turns on = starts dropping. Push button again and it turns off.

I will make you one and send you a video. 0 command blocks.
