Yeah, disregard the above picture as it is the precinct that has been eliminated by a giant sphere. Little bit of a worldedit slip. Vinny also burned a forest because I killed his horse.

All in a day's work at Bosscraft.

Wow. You posted a server called "bosscraft" at exactly the same time I did.

I'm gonna have to get a little more creative. :iapprove:

Got an admirable amount of building done today and still working. Still accepting requests and the player max has been raised!

Dammit vince, you're a goddam hero. Wolfielady47 is also in. Sorry maxxxb123, we don't allow low self esteem here on bosscraft. The player limit is only four right now, so if you wanna play just be on the ball. Realistically, that's gun be two slots for other builders. No problems have occurred so far, so we'll see if I'll be able to raise it soon.

After I engage in my lovely evening bicycling constitutional through the golden countryside, I will see you all in two hours.

I'll whitelist you crazy gentlemen and probably reopen the server around 9 pacific tomorrow. Maybe later, maybe earlier. Who knows. It's a tossup. The ip, by the way, is:

    50.37.116.179

(Also, I'm not sure what the server can take at the moment, seeing as it's not running on a dedicated pc yet: with bukkit, it should be alright, though.)

Whitelist rescinded; come one, come all. No, really, come all.

Top of the evening, my couch dwelling comrades. Me and only one other friend are currently in the process of preparing a new server map for what you intellectuals may have guessed is called "Funkcraft." The concept is a nice one: The map's cities, railways (I'll get to this in a sec) and other public or grief-vulnerable areas will be worldguarded. Players will certainly be able to purchase plots for the use of dwellings and economy-minded shops or trading centers. However, outside of these areas vanilla survival is the rule. Cities will have different bends to them, from the luxurious to the lawless. PVP? Everywhere. The goal here is realism. Which is where I come to the railway thing: the server will be (but is not currently) running Traincraft, that awesome mod with the railroads and the flying machines. Flan's is also a possibility (how much @ss would that kick? Unfortunately, it runs horribly for SMP.) Industry? Maybe, but god, that can bog down a server. And at last, boats. If we determine the vanilla ones aren't good enough. We'll shop it around a bit when we're in the works. Which is why this is being posted in the creative forum: right now we only want a handful of whitelisted builders to point our cities to the sky. The experienced, tarnished pros that dwell among us here are the perfect men for the job. Yeah.

As of now, this is the swag city downtown area (all of these names are for lack of something better by the way. Flustered?):

    There are some other requirements:
    1. Don't be a scrub
    2. Don't like pewdipie
    3. Do be able to name at least 5 dinosaurs
    4. Rule 2 is especially true for everyone except Larry
    5. Like funky music
    6. Chill. All the time.

We like to party here on Funkcraft. If you think you're funky enough than swag on over and ask to be on the whitelist. I'll send you the swaggy address and we'll drop the funky beats. Stay thirsty, my friends.

My two cents here. Since good 'ol Notch passed the tiller over, we've seen a marked increase in at most sort of entertaining [expletive omitted for the sake of new fascist forum censoring.]... the current team seems much more geared towards satisfying the masses, which is obviously a beneficial thing on the surface, but this can also lead to negative effects. Cats, anyone? Honestly? Horses are similar. Notch was much more interested in creating a fantasy game that played well and had at best a slight feeling of realism, while during his tenure he laid down the groundwork for what would play very well. Most of his time was dedicated to adding things that just seem necessary to us now. When I started playing we were getting really excited about just the idea of playing SMP and actually being able to use more than half of the game's items (minecraft classic was basically how you played with your friends.)

The other side of that coin is that, let's face it, notch is a pretty lousy, self-taught coder. While he can do just about anything he wants to with the language if he wants to, it will probably run slow, and at the worst of times be full of holes. He had the power to create a really kick-@ss game and did, but god, it was buggy. Jeb and the sort of shop he runs is much more geared towards a fast-running game- bugs have been weeded out efficiently and quickly. The class layout for minecraft is one of the most confusing messes in videogame history, but it's getting better now. A disappointing and shameful gap in this run, however, is the new launcher, which confuses me as I hope they'll do something about it.

I will most likely not be returning to the pack. Had a good run, but I've sort of moved on.

Hmn. 99% of the time I encounter errors, I have not a clue what's causing them (unless I'm developing, of course, when I have to.) I typically proceed to delete everything and reinstall, this time more careful (back it up kids) and if it still doesn't work, something's really wrong!

Removing your pack allows the game to resume.

Other packs: Manus Vechcles, Halo weapons pack, Modern Weapons pack v1.6, Stans Vechcles, and Spino's Vechcles.
Other Mods: Optifine AA/Multicore, Modern Warfare MLMP (1.0.3), Turret Mod v2.2
(I'd like a response from the author himself since I find many people tend to throw answers that wouldn't make sense)

I'm no good at deciphering error logs, but it is known the the halo weapons pack has an itemID conflict with our pack. You could take on changing the IDs yourself, or you can just choose one or the other. The reason we don't change it to be compatible is that no matter what we change the IDs to, something else all of a sudden becomes incompatible.

Maybe. Manus has tried to add helicopters with just the normal plane format, but they don't really work.

If crash on land was false and crash on water was true (forgot to add: crash on water false would obviously let you float) it would be a normal vehicle or airplane. Crash on land false and crash on water false would mean a hovercraft! Submarines would be possible using the normal plane crafting and text if you give for another value that defines flotation and underwater function; of course, this is all way over my head; I don't even know how Flan's boolean values work. It might be a simple add, it might be a little complex, and it might be more or less impossible. I might not even get the source. And long before this happens, if ever, I'll be working on cold war planes and vehicles for some time. Just don't get your hopes up too high.
