Its a free VPS available for an established community of users that is ready to go with a Multicraft panel loaded on it. Two vCPU cores, 3GB of RAM (two for Minecraft and one for OS), and 50GB of storage. The physical box has a hell of a lot more horsepower on it, but I have the VM choked down to this setup unless there is a need to make it larger. Honestly, I could easily increase the RAM available to the VM and host several servers on it at the same time.
So I'm just getting into Minecraft. Late to the party, I know. I decided to setup a VPS server at my facility on an underused production server.
I'd like to offer it to a well established community that could use it if they are looking to either change hosts or upgrade to if they are running out of room. It's a standard Multicraft install. It should support 25 players with no issues. Physical location is in NA.
Anyway, again I'm offering it to an established Minecraft community. I'd like for it to get immediate use and not sit abandoned for a year which is what would happen if I just reserved it for my use.
Thanks, Citric, for the clarification. I am seeing a pattern where there are tons of sponsor requests but few acceptions. If you know of any established and mature/friendly communities that are looking for room to grow into another server let me know.
How about those of us wanting to offer a host for free with no payment required? For example, I've got a production machine in my business that is underutilized. My plan is to setup a VPS and offer it up as a sponsorship. Again, I'm not a web/game host and it will be free of charge. Just want to give back to this community.
Where would I post this now and where in the future when the new rules go into effect?
