Hi! Aspiria PE is a Creative server!
We've just opened, so we're ironing out any issues we notice, but otherwise, the server is running a 24/7 dedicated server, so there should be no issues with connecting and playing on our server!

The shaderpack now looks amazing compared to a year ago! I'm using Optifine 1.12, and I noticed an issue where the chests, heads, and animals have this weird static red around them:

I modified the settings on the shaderpack, though this was visible before modifying them. This also still occurs, even if no resoucepack is applied.

Hm, to most of the recent posts:

Look for my posts on the last page, I do not want to repeat everything right now.

But, I think that I will update my fork (when I have time for it) to replace ffmpeg altogether. Most of you are not so tech-savvy people (which became quite obvious) who would instantly figure out how to download ffmpeg, configure it and also have the mess (also totally bothers me!) with the output of ffmpeg.

For all new readers: I am not the offical author, I made a fork for shader sync and also made some changes in the past.

I'm using quality 0, but ffmpeg still feels a bit lossy, I'd need to inspect the image more before saying anything 100%, but it seems like their is a very little but noticeable difference to those use to video editing.

Check out this video made using SEUS V11 shaders. It's a very different video then you see every day when it comes to shader videos.

I didn't notice that you could edit the config in-game. Now it generates, and its quite hard to download 3.2 instead of 3.2.1.

Anyways, I have two questions and two problems.

What does snap-resolution do? I've tried to read up on it but haven't really found anything.

Is there a way to bypass the following? I want to record in UHD but my screens 1080p: http://i.imgur.com/NMetPAo.png

On to the problems, I've noticed that BauerCam slows down the speed at which you travel at towards the end of your path.

Finally, when I record it seems Minema causes some problem with shaders where a weird box like thing appears in the sky. Here's an example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B84r0bGDfW26WGdfYUpXb3ZoR0E/view?usp=sharing- Its the light blue rectangle shape in the sky that blinks towards the end of the video. This occurs regardless of the time of day (at night it also flashes, but a different color). I've sucessfully reproduced this with SEUS V11, Seus V10, Continuum V1.2.2 and V1.2.1 . This issue seems to be related to view distance. The issue will always happen it seems, but is ussually not visible unless you put your view distance above 16 (I put mine at 32 for minema video).

    @Gregosteros

Hi, I deleted my old Minema.cfg (config) in .minecraft/config but all its done after starting the game up is create a blank minema.cfg (notice the capital difference).

My engine speed was 1.0, is real good to hear that the tiny stutters are fixed, and I was recording on a server, I assumed it would work as from what I recall recording on servers worked before, minema would just take control of time (but maybe I'm confused).

    Also, in terms of:

    -f rawvideo -pix_fmt bgr24 -s %WIDTH%x%HEIGHT% -r %FPS% -i - -vf vflip -c:v libx264 -preset ultrafast -tune zerolatency -qp 20 video.mp4

Would you be able to say how to increase the bitrate or quality of the video, as I'm not satisfied with the video quality this provides.

    @Gregosteros

I've just tried out 1.10.2 and I have a problem where the video is rendered upside down (not that big of a deal), but the leaves/water still aren't in sync.

    Encoder Settings:

    -f rawvideo -pix_fmt bgr24 -s %WIDTH%x%HEIGHT% -r %FPS% -i - -an -c:v libx264 -preset medium -qp 10 video.mp4

    Shaders: Continuum 1.2.2 PBR

    Modifications:

    Bauer Cam

    Minema 1.10.2 (Shader Sync Edition)

    Optifine 1.10.2 HD U C2

    Forge: 2046

Another problem is using this with Buaercam creates unstable shots. Example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m5m5ww1gj3s6qqh/unstable.mp4?dl=0 - As you see their are tiny stutters/shakes in the movement, it basically makes a shot terrible. (Ignore the terrible compression Dropbox does to videos, the stutter I'm trying to point out).

    Check it out: https://github.com/daipenger/minema/releases

This first version at least "works" like intended! But: Test it, test it and again test it!

I also found a bug that Barracuda introduced to the config system in v3.2. If you delete the Minema config and try to completely reconfigure it, Minema will not save the config at all. (So you would have to reconfigure it every time when the game starts) So, if you have an old config file, I would not recommend deleting it because then the bug should not be noticable. Though this bug currently exists, v3.2 brings a lot of improvements and I still highly recommend it. I could maybe fix it in my fork.

This bug exists in your 1.10.2 fork? Also, in your fork should we be using your recommended video encoder params or Barracudas?

I stopped working on my port when Barracuda took over again. Maybe I will continue now.
I know that PixelCam features a bit more than BauerCam but it is not the fault on the side of Minema. PixelCam purely was not made for minema but instead for something totally different.

Recording in real time: Use Shadowplay/OBS together with PixelCam (as PixelCam creates camera paths and takes for granted that you record something in real time)

Recording in offline mode: Use Minema together with BauerCam (as BauerCam creates camera paths and takes for granted that you use such a recording method how Minema does it)

If you want to know what happens when you just use PixelCam and Minema together without thinking read the post of @Cineminecraft

This is not a bug. It is due to the concept of Minema. Minema is an offline renderer which also brings recording so its best use case are cinematics. If you wish to record things happening in real time/dynamic environment you have to record such things in singleplayer with the engine synchronizing feature enabled.
Minema is a niche product and you have to know what you are doing!

Why? It will not be visible in recorded footage.

Yeah, I understand the differences, that's why I love Minema + BauerCam, because I can record things that cannot be done in real-time, (regardless of your PC). I was just suggesting it would be nice to maybe add those PixelCam features to BauerCam, or maybe fork PixelCam and make it compatible with Minema? Just a suggestion. On the topic of Barracuda updating the mod, their have been times where he's returned to do an update but then disappeared again for months without any fixes/MC updates so I'm not sure whether or not he'll be back. : (

@Gregosteros, do you plan to update your Minema port to 1.10? I'd also like to mention/show Crushed Pixels Pixel Cam mod: Which has been drastically improved upon (shows path in-game, supports linear/cubic paths, fov changes, position focusing (its all shown in that video). In short its a pretty impressive tool that doesn't depend on ReplayMod (which is still being worked on for 1.9 support). In short, I was wondering whether or not you plan to update Minema, and whether or not you'll make it compatible with the PixelCam mod, or if you will just update your BauerCam mod instead and strictly support that instead.

My fork is already updated. (3.2 beta6)

If my videos for some reason have an odd tint went completed (using SEUS with Bauer Cam which as I understand are both compatible), would my problems be with the ffmpeg? I'm using the preset settings given and I get this: http://i.imgur.com/jQSpAB9.jpg when it should look like: http://i.imgur.com/mUMjtyN.jpg

Certainly. And not just a bit. It will be in the order of magnitudes faster.

By using pixel buffers you can basically do the following:
Use two of them. When a frame is rendered tell the GPU to map the current framebuffer to one of the pixel buffers. This will be done by the GPU in its spare time and the CPU can carry on executing the current thread. Take the other now prepared pixel buffer and you can give its contents to the ffmpeg encoder. Using buffers is generally also a good idea because you can let the OpenGL driver decide were it should allocate the memory based on a usage hint that you give it to it thus reducing the needed memory copies in some cases.

The default method will do it directly. And the CPU must then wait for the GPU to finish.

My current tests indicate a performance boost of like 8 to 10 times.

That's great to hear. Excited to see an update
