    [Spirit's] can also be used as [Spirit is], just like [it's] is a contraction of [it is]. That's not really appliable here either, so I sort of ignored it. 8D

    Yeah, Spirits would be right as a plural. It's really up to you if you want to leave it as plural, as the item is stackable, but since the game doesn't actually name anything as multiples, I'd say Spirit as singular would be more correct, considering there's only one spirit in the item image.

    I gave it a look-over, and it's actually pretty nice for a fansite. It's no touhou wikipedia, that's for sure. (Doesn't even have close to the amount of information), but it is built nicely. Unfortunately, I can't say there's a lot on that site that I don't already know about, though. ;<

    Oh lord xD. Ok, the apostrophy goes after Rin, being [Rin's] Companion Spirit, or spirits if you have multiple of them. If you put [Spirit's], then you'd have something that belongs to it. (kind of like [the Spirit's color]) which would be.. partially blue, obviously. If you just had [Spirit's] without a word to give it ownership, it wouldn't make sense.     Nuh, you deserve it. No matter how big or small the task is, you took it upon yourself to not only make a language pack specifically for a mod, but a mod that wouldn't be widely used. That's a small niche that you're filling, and it's going to be underappreciated simply from the lack of knowledge about it. Anyone who uses it would be very appreciative of the work you've done with it, and I use your language pack with pride.

    I haven't seen anything more than what I've mentioned so far, which is pretty damn nice considering if you're from Austria, I doubt English from the United States is your main language. Not that it should be, lol. Most people I know overseas couldn't do half of what you did with your language pack in an everyday conversation. I'm just glad to help. I saw you post this on the texture pack thread, and I just jumped in headfirst. I knew I had to get some of this.

(Assuming you want to perfect it to begin with.)

    So you've named the Tenshi's Sword of Scarlet Perception, Shikieiki's Rod of Remorse, Flandre's Laevateinn, but not Reimu's Purification Rod. (Her gohei) I'll still keep the name on mine (Naming mundane items ftw). Because pff. B)

    All of that's just nitpicky stuff that really wouldn't change the overall feel of the language pack, but since it is a Language pack, that's something you can easily pick it and make it as best as possible without being too complex. The fact that there's nothing else to really worry about other than really small things that are easily overlooked means you did really well.

    The UTF-8 format might be because you're missing a language pack, or a coding pack. I wouldn't know where to get these for you since I installed the full language pack from the Windows XP disk, downloaded a complete language pack update from Windows Update, and then.. I sort of borrowed a customization and language pack from an Windows XP Media Center. Haha.

    Not everyone would be able to see the æ as they don't have the correct pack installed to view it correctly. Same reason people see Asian languages as boxes and weird built-in OS symbols. ;P It might be better to just leave it as Lae instead of Læ. Theoretically, it's better to have the æ for sake of correctness, but you can't magic the language pack on everyone's tower. What can you do?

    That spelling looks more like Leviathan to me. But I guess they're similar at the core too. The h throws it off for me, though.

While Rin's Spirits would be kind of a strange name, Rin's Companion Spirits would be fitting in my opinion.

    Also, I use the wiki for reasons of them listing canonical information and as much as possible seperating canon from fanon. Figured it'd be a good place to get terms that would be closest for the translations we would be given.

    The only thing I see myself having a problem with is renaming stuff when fusing tools and having to rename the item (so the cost resets) and not being able to rename it with official name because it was already named that.. :( But having ALL the books named for Patchouli makes me very happy. xD (Totally wanted to rename them all, but hated the idea of farming exp to do so)

    Tried to edit the text doc to just have english. Game doesn't load.
    Edited for a space that looked like it was missing. No load.

    Just came across a couple of bugs.

    Made an efficiency V iron pickaxe with only one level. It didn't take my level whatsoever and I was NOT in creative mode.
    Also, the required level disappeared.

    Also created an iron axe with efficiency IV (which is level 40). It took the 1 level I had after testing the iron pickaxe. ^
    The required level was shown as 40, and not lit up. I clicked it and was still able to create the weapon only with one level lost.

    Realized that said bugs above are because I had torches on the books and it doesn't function as such. Seeing as you can get free enchantments by doing the above just like in creative mode.. that's something that should be looked into for your next release.

    After playing with this for a while, using our exp generator for a few minutes at most a few times, and just killing the natural slimes in my slime chunk off hand, this seems unbelievably fast exp, like I found exp from single mobs and stuff low, but when you have innovation with experience farming and etc, it becomes way too easy to level. I took on two large slimes and a medium slime and got over 6 levels from just that. Maybe even 7. At the dual spider spawner trap I gained over 30-40 levels in mere minutes. I tested killing the dragon as well, which gave me a mind-boggling amount of levels. Excess of 4,500 if I remember correctly? Perhaps it was only 1,300? In the thousands for sure. Too much recent Supreme Commander makes my number memory fuzzy.

    I respectfully take back and reverse my "higher experience" comment I stated before. It was clearly because the mod was not functioning correctly (because of my installation error). After testing, I've concluded it's extremely easy to gain exp with this mod, and also vote it be lowered.

    I host the server myself on the same computer and it's been vanilla until I tried this mod. (I don't use any type of texture packs whatsoever either.) I'll toss it on the .jar and try that instead. I swear the instructions said .exe and not .jar though.. Oh well.

    If it's because I threw it into the .exe and not the .jar, then I'll know what went wrong. I don't think the .jar should be much if any different at all from a .exe since it runs the exact same command codes, but hell.. if that fixes the issues, then we're set. I'll edit later and post my findings. :}

    - Edit

    Tried 4 bows with fire charge and got flame every time. Drops from level 30 to level 23 with all the books around the enchanting table. Pretty nice. Also, the maximum for bow is Punch II, not III. You have it stated it can reach III and requires 36 levels to do so. But apparently that's incorrect, impossible, or misstated. Something to check out and perhaps change?

    I noticed that with 5 string, 2 powder, and 1 fire charge, the bow becomes a required level 78 to create. If I remove the gunpowder and insert an eye of ender, it asks for 94 levels. The problem is if I add the gunpowder back into the enchanting table, it disappears and says 0 for the required level. I can still click the button and create the bow, but it has nothing on the screen and level 0 requirement.

    I tried to implement a diamond pick with 5 redstone dust, 3 iron, 1 diamond, and 3 gold. Yet I cannot do it even in creative mode. All the books are correctly around the table. If I take away the gold, I gain the correct pick with all enchantments but fortune. Don't know what's up with this.

    The glitchy inventory movement hasn't happened yet. That's a good thing.

    Overall, so far so good. I'm liking it. You definitely know what errors you get when it's inserted into the EXE instead of the .jar file now. Looking forward to when you're able to run it with modloader.

    When I tried to copy over the files from the mod server folder to the server.exe, it told me "Archive is corrupt."

    Rather not post a 1080p sized image here. But that's what I got. Tried both downloads on your end and redownloaded a fresh server.exe from minecraft.net every time. Same exact error no matter how I did it. I even tried copying over the same files again. Same error.

    Just ran some tests on server multi, and it didn't even copy over. The (assumed modded) server is running normal enchanting table. There might be something wrong somewhere. It should have crashed my client instead of just not appearing at all. Going to try to install it on my client and edit with information gained.

    All of these are the exact same errors I received before you updated as well. Tried another bow with another 5 fire charges and received Power III. Also, the table does not take the items. they don't disappear. They stay inside the enchanting table.

    Yeah. He knew he was describing more of a blacksmith's forge instead of an enchanting table. But in my opinion the enchantments lack a minecrafty feel to it anyway. It's Minecraft.     If it's intentional to keep the item while enchanting with the properties of it, the levels should be much harder and required level enchanting higher in that respect. As looking at it in an enchanting perspective, and not a smithing, that would be fair.

    Also, as for the blocks being harder to code... I figured that would be more difficult to use "block" than an "item". I've seen the insane amount of work other modders do that change the entire aspect and core base of this game to hights never before seen. They don't suit everyone's taste, but the sheer amount of coding and work is possible. I don't want to push something that might be hard for you.

    As for compatibility - seems like this mod makes changes to the game that are not meant to be made with ModLoader (or maybe i just didn't notice something).     I completely forgot about the mod messing with the inventory. (Thanks @ Kashi who reminded me) It screws with the item placement. If I pick up an item just standing and open my inventory, it goes becomes as normal. If I open an item chest, it also goes to normal. But as soon as I open the enchanting table, it screws with it, and sometimes doubles the item. If I pick up an "incorrect" item, if it's not actually there, my client crashes. This was a big issue for me trying to enchant things and I kept crashing because there's no way to tell which item stack is which. Perhaps it moves the entire inventory over 3 or 4 rows in one direction. Don't know what would cause this, but hopefully you'll figure out the error. :}

    Just tried this mod over the past week..ish or so. Added the 1.2.4 version to my server and my client. I had two other friends that did so as well. We noticed quite a few things. But first off, some changes I was thinking while looking at aspade01's version.

    - ..This page just deleted more than a dozen paragraphs of text here by auto refreshing and not autosaving. The amount of mad right now.. you just don't understand. Retyping go.


    Armor - most things look correct.

    The protection shouldn't be just iron. When I make leather, gold, or diamond armor, I'm required to use iron to upgrade the defense on it. That makes no sense. Leather should be used to up the defense on the leather armor, while Iron should be on iron armor, etc. The protection for the armor should be several layers of the same material you made the armor out of. which makes it more expensive the better the armor is.

    Projectile protection seems strange as leather offhand. But seeing as Mythbusters proved that several layers of heavy leather gave more protection than a layer of iron. (or steel. Don't remember) It was also easier to move around in and weighed much less. I tried to look for something better, but I've got nothing.


    Swords - Also pretty well thought out.

    Sharpness should be similar to protection for armor. Wooden planks should be used to upgrade sharpness for wooden swords. Flint should be available to add sharpness for stone and iron. If you tried to use flint to sharpen a diamond sword, the sword would just slice the flint in half. A diamond to upgrade the sharpness for the sword is the only thing I can see making sense.

    If you absolutely can't change the enchantments per item, flint should be used for everything. Even if it doesn't make sense for diamond or wood, it's the overall best item that would make sense for sharpness.


    Bows - Interesting to say the least.

    The power should be less iron and more string. Make it more expensive than it is now. Instead of 6, make it 8. 8, 16, 24, 32, 40. Power V is very powerful. It should be one of the more costly enchantments.

    Flame for bow should be less of blaze powder and more of flint and steel(loliron). In my opinion, blaze powder would just straight up burn the bow, but flint and steel can easily be used and would fairly light the arrow.

    The eye of ender on bow for infinity is unbelievably awesome. I would not change this whatsoever. I would reccommend raising the level from 40 to something say 50 because of the slight experience change. (which I will go over later)


    Tools - These need a bit of work
    Efficiency seems fair as redstone dust, but as it stands.. I can't think of anything in particular that would fit here.

    Silk touch is a big thing for most people. Glass, grass, glowstone, clean stone, ores, and anything else I can't think of. This should be something rare. I suggest a ghast tear. The level requirement of 40 should be just as high or a bit higher. Ghast tears are pretty difficult to get.

    Unbreaking as iron is too strange to go unnoticed. I run out of iron tools quite a lot so I use stone picks pretty often. Yet I have a stack of Obsidian in my chest sitting there doing nothing. It's only useful for getting nether portals and making the enchanting table itself. As unbreaking tends to be extremely useful at high levels for making the tool last so much longer, I think unbreaking would put obsidian to perfect use.

    Fortune as gold is fine. Couldn't think of anything more to put here. Especially since gold turns rarer than diamond once you make a fortune III pick.


    As promised, here's a few things we noticed after a while.

    A: If you don't have the mod but the server does, and you open the Enchanting table, your client crashes.

    B: The grid does NOT actually give you the correct enchantments, it still gives random enchantments.
    - Example: Two Iron pickaxes. One enchanted with three redstone.. the other with two. The three redstone enchantment turned into level II efficiency instead of level III as it should have been. The two redstone enchantment had level I unbreaking.

    C: The levels stated in the enchanting table either do not state the correct levels, or the selection to take that enchantment is broken. I was level 9 and tried a level 7 enchantment on a stone pickaxe with one iron. I was unable to enchant the item whatsoever. Others in the server had the same problem.

    D: The mod on my client works on a vanilla server and but I was required to have items and still was given random enchantments. The entire bookcase set was around the enchantment table and it halved the numbers correctly. For the enchantment, I used 5 iron, 2 gunpowder, 2 blaze powder, and 5 gold. Unfortunately, I received quite a few low level enchantments often when using said same level 130 enchantment and did not receive the enchantment I wanted whatsoever. Sharpness I, Bane of Arthropods III, Fire aspect I, Knockback I, Sharpness II, all as individual enchantments. None of the swords had a second enchantment on the item whether the books were around the table or not.

    E: The experience itself seems very slow. With my mob trap I would normally get a couple dozen levels after a 15ish minute wait. It's quite low.. at a single dozen perhaps. But it might be the linear. I think that a lower linear might be more noticeable. perhaps 9 or 10 experience instead of 11 per level. Perhaps I'm just too used to fast leveling at lower levels..? If you choose to drop the experience needed, then slightly raising the cost of better enchantments would be the best idea. If you choose to do this, I would raise everything, then raise the better enchantments again, since they need an uplift.

    F: I'm curious if the enchanting table not taking the items is intentional or not. If it is intentional, and you want to keep the items, that's cool. Just up the levels and keep em needed. But should it actually use the items, the levels should be cut a little from the finished product. Meaning after you up the level requirements from the lower experience, and/or change the items from the current state, then you make the table eat the items once you enchant it and then cut the levels down a bit. Now.. Level 65 for a monstrously powerful awesome sword is extremely low in my opinion.. Even if it does eat your stuff to enchant the item. It should be MUCH higher and require the books to get something monstrously awesome. The previous sword I mentioned at the top for level 65 with all the books.. should be upped to at least 110 including the bookshelves. That's the best most rounded sword in the game in any situation. It should cost way more than a measly 65 levels. That's just ridiculous.

    G: The mod also directly crashes texture packs when used in conjunction. It gives black screens sometimes and other times just closes the game directly. This was experienced on Windows 7.

    Anyway, as I was saying... I believe it's only creative mode single or multiplayer that has rain.

    It used to be in survival, but was taken out. The rain droplets were still there for a while, in 3rd person. If you went near water level, you'd see droplets on the ground. That was taken out too.

    Try creative and see what you get.
