The skeleton head is 398. Not sure about the rest.
Pigs follow you around with a carrot on a stick. Again not sure about other uses.
With the "carrot on a stick", the pig you are mounting will move in the direction you face. They don't jump up blocks that are in front of them, so the only real use for them is traveling downhill. I wish this would be changed.

1.4.6 has different obfuscation.
This means:
Any mods NOT designed for 1.4.6 will NOT work for 1.4.6
1.4.5 and 1.4.4 were only backwards compatible because the obfuscation didnt change.
Also note:
ModLoader isn't going to update right aways. Minecraft updated within the past 6 hours. I wouldn't expect someone to update this that fast.
As a modder, I feel used when people say "Update Nao!!!!!!11!!1one"
Get off our backs. We offer mods to the community as a free service. We owe you no obligation, nor do we have the time to sit around all day modding. We have a life... most of us anyways.
If I could, I would TCP-Slap everyone who fills the thread with: "Update to the latest Minecraft? My Minecraft crashes when I install the wrong version".

Keep your mods to one thread, unless they are different mods.

1.4.4 is the same as 1.4.5

Just a heads up, the users on this forum don't take too kindly to "Material, Armor, and Tool" mods. I don't blame them, since they pop up way too often on the forums. I understand this is your first mod, but a better practice is to leave these kinds of mods off the modding forum. We appreciate your interest in the modding world, but people don't want the great mods buried in with the "beginner mods".
I can not stress the fact that the above message is "candy-coated" as much as possible. I could not break that down any simpler, nor could I "soften the blow" any further.

Anyways, I would love to see an alternate of this, where everything is all mellow, yet warm. Not necessarily bright, but soft blues, and harder oranges/browns. Minecraft's vanilla texture pack doesn't follow this, and that's been my only set-back in the pack. You always set a great atmosphere in your packs.
I agree with the livestream idea. Or at least a youtube channel based solely on your texture packs.

If you could, in spare time of course, replace the vanilla anvil, I'm sure the whole community would download it and support you. Maybe even making Mojang think twice about their work.

I find that they put too much of their twist on it, which is fine, but it seems they never listen to the community anymore. They only hunt down the top mods that suit the lore, and then, they disregard any input from the community, unless it involves serious bug reports. I've tweeted both Nathan, and Jeb numerous times about ideas. I don't expect them to use my ideas, but I do expect them to acknowledge that they get my point by RESPONDING. I feel that if I pay into something, I ought to have some input into it.
In Canada, tax-payers have the right to vote, and their vote counts. Maybe they aren't seeing my messages, maybe they are. I can't tell, and never will be able to tell, until they respond. If they are ignoring users, they need to stop thinking they're all "high and mighty", and start treating the users on an equal playing field. We deserve the right to be heard, and listened to. I'm not saying I don't like the 1.4 update. I really do like alot of the features. I'm just disappointed that there's no efficient way of communicating with them, on a more personal level.

The lava is what lags you in the nether. That, and all the entities caused by the lava "popping" as well as all the mobs.
The biggest issue with the lag is the light eminating form the lava. Because there is so much lava, each block giving off it's own light, along with lava constantly ticking (because it's a flowing fluid, and flowing fluids in Minecraft queue an update every tick), the light is updating almost non-stop. There was a mod previously on 1.3.2 that reduced the amount of updates, to remove up to 80% of the frame stuttering. That mod is buried somewhere in the first 30 pages. I don't know if the author of this mod corrected the same issue or not, but the fix is located in WorldClient, I believe. I don't have the time, nor the patience to fix it myself. If I get around to it, I may just do that, unless this mod uses the same tactic. If someone could vouch that this fixes it in both SSP aswell as SMP (it's client sided, so it will work the same in both), then I will not upload my own fix. Mod author, please also indicate which obfuscated class files are being changed, so users know which files to back up, just in case (I'd hate to have to clean my JAR and re-install every mod just because I wanted to get rid of one).

I'd also like to point out that I feel my voice is not heard when communicating with these developers when I try to pitch ideas, or report bugs.
In my opinion, Minecraft has become too easy and therefore boring. That's not to say "Hey, add more mobs and make them hard to kill.", quite the opposite actually. I don't know if it's just that I got better at the game, or what, but back in 1.3 I really used to be scared of most of the mobs in Minecraft. I don't have that anymore, but now that certain blocks have a developed more of a value, I don't want that feeling back.
Enchanting, villager trading, and potions are what made Minecraft kind of veer off from where it should have gone.
