EDIT2: I have no idea what I'm doing. There may still be issues with lag and memory leaks. I have too many different variables to get an accurate assessment going.

All right, I've done some preliminary testing. Here's what I've found. I'm going to use spoilers to try and format my post; I'm very prone to mile-long walls of text.

As far as bugs go, I've found a couple. No crash bugs or anything, though. I am running this in an environment with about 130 other mods.

One, as stated above, the AI can misbehave occasionally. My blockling would sometimes lose interest in the zombies I would spawn (in creative) after attacking for a little bit. This could usually be remedied by punching the zombie some more and bringing it closer to my blockling. When I relogged at one point, my blockling, now gold level, seemed to lose interest completely in me and what I was doing, seeming content to hop around in the trees instead. I could still bring up the stat menu though, so it was still bound to my character as far as I could tell.

Two, they seem to have issues spawning with other mods, though this may well be my fault as I had a hard time finding sheep and other animals on my journey as well. After a while looking, I couldn't find any in either my Enhanced Biomes modded world or my default worldtype modded world. (They appeared just fine with no mods but Blocklings.) I'll keep looking. EDIT: It's a mod conflict. Investigating.

    Everything else seemed fine.

Now, if you're open to them at this time, I have some suggestions.

    1) Maybe the sit animation could be a "sleep" animation where their eyes become little horizontal lines. Maybe a particle effect to make it easier to tell, I don't know.

    2) Maybe they can be trained to do labor for players. This can be something like you right click on them with a hoe ant they break/replant crops. Whatever you deem useful.

    3) Maybe you can put a chest on their heads and have them carry things. Though, since both right and shift-right click are taken, I'm not sure how this might be implemented. Or maybe you could put a torch on their heads. That would require dynamic lights though.

4)This one's kind of out there, but maybe since they're part block, they can sense other blocks. A player might right-click on a blockling with a diamond and if there are diamonds in, say, a 16-block radius, the blockling will get excited and try to lead you to them.

All of these are just suggestions, do what you want with them, or leave them.

After playing around for a little bit, I have to say that I really like this mod. It's a great idea and I believe it could become a respectable companion mod.

Seems really cool, quite a unique idea. I like it! Downloading now, I'll come back with any bugs or feature ideas I might have. :)
