Some kind of included map editor that comes with the game would be awesome but this is Java and there are already several free, lightweight map editors to use. Doubt this will ever happen you'll just have to make do with those.

posted a message on Forum Support - Can't use Search
Probably a noob question but I'm trying to post a suggestion but I want to make sure I search properly before I do. I checked the posted suggestions list but I can't see a regular search bar anywhere. If I go to Advanced Search it tells me to use the google search with "site:<this URL>" after it, which I did. Is there another search somewhere that I missed or is that it? Thanks in advance.

No, no saving any items at all. The point is to take what you need, store when you can, and actually go back to your base or place of storage when you need to, or drop a new chest and mark it with a pillar.

The point is to make dying matter and not be easy transport so even on peaceful this is a no no: "Need to move stuff quick? Switch to peaceful, jump off cliff, at spawn point." Hell no.

Yes, Yes, and Yes. All of them make perfect sense. I would probably stay in Sneak mode all the time if I could. Damn Stickykeys...

As for the other ideas it just makes sense.

If you can spawn pigs you should be able to spawn pigmen. They have been around since the Nether haven't they?

I like the tree idea. They should add a common green apple, and make so you can plant them or eat them. Planting one makes an Apple tree grow after a few days that will occasionally spawn apples. It will spawn green apples every 60 seconds but on the rare occasion (something like 1 in 50 chance) it will spawn a red apple. and on the very rare occasion (1/125 chance, same as dungeon chests) it spawns a golden apple.

While I agree with Puppy_Luv about having good servers instead of bad in-game counter measures for griefing, until that is actually done this could work quite well. You can't put more than two chests near each other so griefers can still get in through the gaps so I have no problem with it being invincible. It seems like a good way to protect your swag.

The easy use for it is equip key, right click chest, and it gets locked with a number 0-9 on it. The key gets a 'quantity' of the same value so you know what key is for what. You can only lock 10 chests (or large chests) at any one time. And forget the stuff about the doors. While it would be nice people can get past a door simple enough, even with a lot of the traps set up around them you typically see.

Well before beta 1.5 gold wasn't that useful. It looked good, was rare, but didn't have a practical use.

I don't really like it, feels more like notch made gold just kind of fit rather than giving it a proper use, all and all the minecart boosters suck imo. I'm using them as a secondary for when my primary glitch based boosters fail velocity wise.

Agreed. Step A is to fix the multiple things glitched or broken about minecarts in general. Step B is to give gold a real use. The only problem is besides looking pretty and being conductive, it isn't really all that useful. Maybe it can be mixed with Redstone Wire to make a new wire that can be used for 30 blocks instead of the normal 15.

Zombies are the primary attackers, they can fit in 2v1 spaces unlike spiders and they go up to you and punch you, yes they don't have drops, but neither does this and whats it suppose to do then if even you agree it shouldn't teleport you?[/quote]
Sometimes things are there just for ambiance, or to make the world feel a specific way. This would make exploring natural caves and your mine a bit more eerie, even if it does nothing besides that. A little extra thing like this here or there can go a long way in making a game more fun.

Yes. Well, kind of. I'd prefer it to be automatic, and replace an item that is spent with the same item. The exceptions are tools/weapons, and food. Tools and weapons will automatically be replaced by something of the same tier if you have one (Iron replaces Iron), but if you don't, it automatically looks for the same item but of a lower tier for replacement. For food, it does kind of the same thing, but it goes in order of health restored. So a Golden Apple will be replaced by a bowl of stew, and that will be replaced by whatever is under that. Cake is skipped as you may only want to use cake on certain occasions, as it is rare and is stuck in one spot after use.

posted a message on New Ores and Alloys
Love this idea. I personally would not put tin or copper on the tier list for tools and weapons. Put Bronze higher than Iron, but below Steel. That way the two ores are not useful for anything by themselves but if combined you get tools and armor that is superior to Iron. It's similar to how wood is only useful for making planks. You have no real use for it besides that, but you want it so you look for it.
