Hello Davey, quality mod you've got here, suits the feel of minecraft, good job.
I especially love your beehives, SO GOOD.

One question: How do you cause mob spawns to be block specific? Feel free not to answer, I could just do with a nudge in the right direction.

What about a small PG rated version of this mod ?

The OP describes a very ambitious mod and the complexity may be delaying its release.

I just love the simple concept of villagers who get hungry and helps themselves to the nearby wheat farm.
And their health decreases when starving just like us until they starve to death.

So could you make a separate small mod that does just that?
    Maybe call it "Hungry Villagers".

I also would rather skip all that sadistic stuff.
And the more complex the NPC ai gets, the more it lags my lame old laptop.
That's what happened to the other NPC mods so I can't play them anymore.

IS this still being developed? Also, is there a version I can alpha-test <.<

That's a fairly good idea, I always struck this problem myself, not having a stupendous laptop either, although I've found Optifine to work wonders. I certainly will be doing this though so have no fear! Although I probably won't prioritize this sorry, rather just work on features so I can get a playable release going for the main mod first.
    And to User:
I'm working on the Crapeling [Pretty Much Done -texture], Villagers hunger [Well on the way, MCA has open source which has been a great help], hunger models (4 of which are needed, starved through to obese, I'm not great with textures but models are simple enough) and then Emeralds inducing Crape and Crape Storms, with advanced breeding as a necessary part of this. I'm sorry to inform you I probably won't be releasing an alpha until I've got all that under way, but if you'd really like to help I can send you models to texture if you like / know how.

I also won't be adding in the Crapeling eating the mother right away, I've thought of a way to do it (would req adding jaw to Crapeling model, for seamless movement) which will be suitably horrific, he'll just lay there all day and digest... on the other hand I haven't mastered modding particles yet (these people I like to refer to as warlocks) but when I do.... there will be spraying, gushing, popping, smoking, eviscerating, disintegrating, It'll be like a horrendous version of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. Actually I'm going to have to do that once this mod's done fully.

@BadDogDickinson: Have you started coding yet? If not, when will you?

Yeah I have, finishing the crape and storms first since they're the main fix this mod presents.

I was thinking... Intelligence? Villagers are normally smart enough to do something like farming or trading, but when their brain cells die, they get dumber and dumber, and eventually just sit mutely and drool. :)

Nah, not feeling that. And thanks for the sig!

What about eyeballs in a jar simply use your sword or knife if you add it to the mod to pick it out and put it in a water bottle when u put it in it gets a different water texture .Sorry for my English .

Ha I can picture a child shivering in a room surrounded by eyeballs in jars... but it isn't quite that useful. And your english is doing fine if you speak it as a second language man :) But alas it has only limited usefulness, in form and function. Although Jars gives me another idea... ugh got to stop having ideas.

[EDIT]: Also, your name gives me an idea.... good lord you'll have to save them from themselves...

    A list of ideas:
Ear bleeding from too many explosion sounds!
Satanic rituals involving blood and death, lots of it!
Poison! Bake it into food! Coat somebody's walls in it! Spray it into the air! KILL THINGS!
A soul harvester! Harvest your enemie's souls and eat them or burn them to release the screams of the tortutred villagers, now unable to die!

Ear bleeding is a great idea.
Poisoning foods... like that too. Would be easy as all hell too and goes well with force feeding.
So poison should give its own ailment too. Maybe even vomiting?
Maybe a knife end for the axle stick attachment, that you can use to inflict 'Lacerations' and damage mobs. If immobilized on a horizontal table then cut with said knife, it kills them instantly (or beheads them if axe)

    Lung wings for water pouches

I like the concept, but doesn't really fit in my opinion.

The link you posted is not working for me :) Please fix it :D

That link I posted is just a thing to show you how to get villagers to commit suicide in vMC. Unless your kidding.

Guts. When you cut someone in a certain spot, guts fly out! Hearts (eatable and usable for sacrifices), livers, intestines, stomachs, etc.! :) And brains. Eatable brains.

EDIT: Also, cannibalism. Yummy villager's flesh!

I do like the cannibalism, that is a planned feature.

Also added "Crape Storms" as the main deterrent to abusing the trade system. Buy some bread if you like, just don't go high roller or there will be dire consequences.

    what?

Shan't be changing the name, it's a reference to another good mod, Better Than Wolves.
Plus it suckers innocent's in so I can ruin them.

    Quote from FlowerChild

Yeah, I agree with the name change. Honestly, I was even thinking this should be named "Better Than Villagers" when I first saw the thread :)

Was going to call it that but then I realized some other mod has beat me to it. Doesn't even seem to change villagers either... but trading's my main gripe.
