My only objection(well....not really an objection) is that apparently either the King(cough*Herobrine*cough) corrupted the cows much more than you thought or this mod is a clear indication that people shouldn't stay in the Nether for too much hour, or else they will go freaking blind!
I'm not sure about how OP getting potions from the cows might be!
You will have to w8 for more feedback once I get to try the mod......that is once I get to download and install all the mods that I'm waiting for them to update!

The Nether cows are too useful!
Having to hunt Zombie Pigmen and Ghasts for the eggs adds a bit of challenge!
Besides, you only need two eggs, since you can breed the rest of the cows you want!

I stopped being optimistic a few versions ago!
I'm positive the api is gonna take at least 1-2 years (yes, I'm serious) before the alpha version comes out, and a few more years for it to be at an efficient stage!(and by efficient, I mean a stage that surpasses forge, which isn't something that easy)
It doesn't matter anyway, because once all the other major features of Minecraft are finally added and Minecraft becomes more stable, forge team will have all the time in their hands to make the forge api even better than it currently is!

Forgot a couple bugs
After a while, the Livingmetal armor will LOOK like it's repairing but if you take it off and put it back on it will go back down.
Also another bug is that Livingmetal won't repair at ALL after a while.
Sounds like you have the same bug as me, where Livingmetal items don't regenerate properly!

And if you're wondering how to get the animals to your base, try a Safari Net:
Did you know that every time you lure animals with food or transport them by minecarts for miles a ghast cries? It's true! And now you can harvest that power to transport them much more easily. Safari nets work like programmable mob spawn eggs - right click on a mob to capture it, and then again on the ground to place it. Single use only. Works on hostile mobs, but not villagers. And it even gets the spawn egg colors while 'full'.

you need over 4 stacks of iron to get to the moon. sorry but that's overpowered. but then there is cheats... and I could just stop smelting...
um... too much work. when the rocket gets smaller and easier to build maybe i'll install this.
Since when was Iron hard to get?
Even in my vanilla world, I have several stacks!
In a modded world, with ic2, Thermal Expansion, etc. you can have entire chests of Iron in just a few days!

Basically, the Pokeball just summons a new fully grown mob!
In other words, it doesn't keep any information as to if the mob was a baby, or if it was bred, or sheared, etc.
It's super abusable!

I am not sure about this one, but I would suspect it to be the fault of IC2 (I am assuming silver dust is obtained from IC2 (Macerator)?).
But I can be wrong about this.
f.e. Pulverized Silver from Thermal Expansion in a vanilla furnace gave me just one silver ingot from Thermal Expansion!
Before I go to the IC2 forums to report this, is there anyone else who has this bug?

No, I haven't tried with other furnaces yet!
Just tried with an Iron Furnace from Industrial Craft 2!
It only gave me one ingot!

Not just the mod makers!
I always run a heavy modded world with as many mods(My 1.3.2 world has 90+ mods) as possible!(it takes me several days to put all the mods together so that most conflicts and bugs are away)
Every time a new update comes out, it puts me into anxiety because I know I will have to w8 1-2 months(maybe more) before I can begin a new world!(and I say new world because keeping my world with all these mods is obviously next to impossible :P)
And I know it can't be helped!(at least, until a good official mod api comes out)
Bugs HAVE to be fixed!
Personally, I'm not optimistic at all even with this 1.4.5 pre-release!
Don't be surprised if more come!

Minecraft updates are coming out so fast, mod developers are unable to keep up with the pace.
We're just now starting to see mods being updated for 1.2.4, and now 1.2.5 is right around the corner.
It wouldn't be so bad if the MC updates didn't break all the existing mods.
How about Mojang takes a little more time and doesn't update again until that mod API is ready?
Hey, at least you guys are playing with 1.2 mods!
I'm still with 1.0 because I w8 for the mod api before I add any new mods!XD
