I'd like to make wider streams too!

Also, are there are any map mods out there that disable vanilla river generation?

Question: If I am using a world-generation mod instead of vanilla world gen, can I the old-style rivers removed and put these in their place?

    And is this compatible?

You mentioned that the largest stream that you've ever seen was 14x15 "chunks". You mean blocks, right?

I'm still looking for a spot to place my house. I need an island in between two relatively straight-flowing, wide rivers. (I don't suppose someone has a seed recommendation?) The banks can be too high either.

I know, it's a lot to ask for. Do you think it is possible for a newbie such as me to tweak the code for this to allow generation of larger rivers that meet this requirement?

I have been told that Factorization is developing certain capabilities like the now-dead Metaworlds mod. Is this true?

Meanwhile, if you are still willing to patch the current streams, two requests:

    1. Change the biomes of the x/z locations where you put the stream and the banks to "river" to help other mods,

    2. Is there any way to detect the "stream heads" -- those directional water blocks that you are hiding at the far ends inside the stone cubbyholes? I've gotten realistic fluid overhaul (http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/wip-mods/2158282-realistic-fluids-overhaul-finite-water-and-stuff/unread) to work with streams (wasn't too hard), but right now it is draining almost everything out of your streams (... kinda makes sense ...). I'm looking to add a water cycle (rain refill, draining excessive buildup), and if I can tell where you streams start, I can put in some sort of continual supply (some hidden, unknown, underground source of the stream). (Expect this to be ready in about two weeks to a month).

Keep us updated on this! I'm quite intrigued.

So, I can't play with this mod because, well, I think there are too many mountains. And, I can't cut down any trees because, as far as I know, there are no saplings to replace them. Also, I think the trees are a tad too tall. I know this is supposed to be realistic, but is there any possibility that you can release a version that is more in tune with vanilla minecraft?

This is a lovely mod. Is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY to get rid of default rivers? I cannot STAND looking at them. I also have a dream of creating a walled house in the middle of a river, but it looks like they don't get very wide. Is it possible for them to combine into even BIGGER rivers too?

    Thanks!

How do you plan to add families? And even if we could what good if you are noble if you dont have any power...

I've seen roleplaying groups set up a series of family trees, with the first players being given an option to play one of the members, and position someone as it's head/lord. These have been groups that focused on the society of political intrigue of the medieval times. Because, realistically, nobility was only rarely earned by a commoner.

By nobility, I am not only referring to ruling lords. Nobility applies to anyone born into a family of prestige. They wouldn't neccessarily have power of their own.

Anywhew, I'll definitely add you on skype. My username is Azarias59

I'd be interested in being a lore-writer, depending upon the overall theme of the server.

    1. What is your position on magic? Eg. Is it going to be widespread, will there be low amounts of magic, or none at all?
    2. What is your position on nobility? Will there even be nobility in the world? Were you going to do a "start-as-a-peasant-and-work-your-way-to-the-top" sort of thing? Or, will early characters be allowed to start noble houses, and build political alliances accordingly?
    3. If you have one, what is your overall inspiration and theme for the server? I myself am looking to join a server with ASOIAF/Game of thrones inspired themes, as they are a rarity here.
