I was shocked when wizzyfy won 3 times in a row, but then I got to thinking: we have had less entries recently, which means a smaller pool of names to randomize. So everyone has a better chance of winning than they have in past weeks.

So if you haven't been entering our Minecraft SMP Lottery on our server, you really should. (you can win tons of diamonds and lots of other blocks/items!)

All you gotta do is be on the Qubetubers SMP (mc.qubetubers.com) on Saturday nights before 8PM EST (1AM Sunday in the UK) and pay 2 diamonds to enter. Even if you don't enter, you can participate in the "Bonus Lottery" afterwards too. Think lotsa dispensers that shoot out free items like diamonds, glowstone, potions and even blocks that you normally can't aquire, like: ice, thin snow, sponge, etc.

I'm starting to get kinda nervous about the streaming marathon I'm attempting tomorrow. I'll be doing 13 hours. Thats almost 3 times longer than I have ever streamed in one day. :ohmy.gif:

Oh and I'll be giving away 7 free games during the marathon, so you really should watch the stream tomorrow at http://www.qubetubers.com for a chance to win a game on Friday the 13th. That could turn your unlucky day into a lucky one. :biggrin.gif:

I finally updated for the new blocks and items in 1.7 and 1.8 including all the new foods. (hambones are now sausages!) As usual, only the 16x16 has been updated, however I might try and get the HD pack updated within the next few weeks.

The screenshots are still for the old v4 pack, but I do plan on adding screenshots of the new v5 pack very soon. If you try out the new version, please give me your feedback so I know what to try and improve for next update.

do you know whats with the yogbox not having colored stones anymore?

I think Mystic Stones is one of the optional yogbox mods, so I think you have to install it seperately.

My only real complaint is the "Mystic Stones". Colored planks? I mean, I guess that's cool and all, but that's all they do? It would be nice if they did something else to make it worth my time to mine them.

The planks are only one use. You also have the rough and smooth version of every stone type to build with. The idea is to have more common materials to build your large structures out of, instead of having to use so much cobblestone/smoothstone/halfblocks for epic size structures.

Also, I am planning to add more uses for the colored planks and the stones, like stairs, doors, and possibly even tables and other types of decoration. Remember, the mod is not even to version 1.0 yet, so there is still plenty more to come.

Hey, what do you guys think about this?

That is awesome! I am not normally very fond of the whole "achievement" concept, since its pretty much meaningless if there isn't an actual "unlockable" item to go along with it, but I may try and add achievements like that to my mod eventually.

"These dungeons can best be found by exploring caves that are at least 10 blocks below sea level, but not as deep as the bottom 20 or so levels."

that's odd. as i said i've found part of one as deep as Y12

I actually didn't count exactly how deep they could go, I was estimating. The size of the dungeons is so large that to get the exact level for the lowest possible portion would take more effort to count, because the elevation for the first block (the entrance to the first corridor) is somewhat random.

Same here. My only question is, does the Mystic Ruins respawn? It may sound strange but that was my main issue with the Ruins mod, ruins would reappear in already generated regions. Is it the case for this one?

No, my ruins do not respawn, and they are much more rare in Mystic Ruins than they are in that Ruins mod.

There are certainly nice features that the Ruins mod has that my Mystic Ruins does not have though, like more randomization in the actual shape of each ruin, and the variety of materials used in them, and the surface towers with mob spawners that the Ruins mod has.

However, I do plan to add many more types of ruins to my Mystic Ruins, like: Sunken Ships, Sandstone Pyramids in the desert, Towers on mountaintops & more.

Just started using this, but there is a problem. I have downloaded it correctly (I'm sure, downloaded many mods/maps/text. packs, etc... before) and deleted META-INF (of course). But when I started a new world, after a minute it said "Saving Chunks" and died. I quitted it and tried again and again after a minute it said "Saving Chunks" and died...

    What's wrong???

And how come these ores/stones aren't on TMI.

Something is wrong with the way you installed the mod, or with a mod conflict between my mod and another one you are using.

I use TMI in testing my mod, and all my new items and blocks show up fine for me. I wouldn't be able to work on the mod as quickly if I had to test it 100% legit. xD

Make sure that you are using the 1.7.3 version of modloader, and the 1.7.3 version of TMI, and that your minecraft.jar is the correct version also.

    You hit them..

Actually, you have to harvest the vines from the bottom up, or you wont get all the potential items. This is due to a glitch that I had trouble fixing, but I might leave it in as something to make the vines different than reeds. xD

Also, because vines are so common, you often dont get any item from breaking a piece of vine, just like wild grass.

I can't seem to find any ruins and I've been flying around and digging around for ages. I know the mod is installed because I have TMI installed and it shows Iron + Gold chest, How rare are ruins and how deep will they get underground?

There are two types of Ruins currently, with different rarities and methods for finding:

    Surface Ruins
    * Made of cobblestone and mossy cobble, sometimes with vines hanging from them.
    * About 20% of the time, these ruins will be found on the surface, no further than about 8 blocks above sea level. The other 80% of the time, the ruin will be buried just under the surface, and in some cases just a couple of blocks might be showing aboveground.
    * These ruins are best found by either exploring as many flat areas (around sea level) as you can, digging dirt/sand around sea level, or exploring caves that are near sea level.

    Dungeon Ruins
    * Floors are made of cobblestone or mossy cobblestone.
    * Dungeons can be over 80 blocks in total length!
    * There is approximately a 25% chance for a chunk to contain part of a dungeon, although the actual entrance is only spawned 5% of the time when a new chunk is genned.
    * Dungeons are made of as many as 2 corridors, 2 rooms, with up to 5 side branches.
    * Secret rooms can be found near dungeons. These secret rooms contain a Gold Treasure Chest and have a lapis floor.
    * These dungeons can best be found by exploring caves that are at least 10 blocks below sea level, but not as deep as the bottom 20 or so levels.

And I completely forgot to post the reason I'm even on this thread right now. I've been enjoying all your mods as of 1.7.3, but have an issue with the 'rare' mystic stones. The majority of the stones seem to work fabulously, some more rare than others at certain depths. I can't help but to wonder though if, somehow, in the rare pack orthogneiss was overlooked and left common. I keep finding it at all depths and in abundance.

I'm several hours into a game, and have collected (Keeping it all in a few chests for future projects, so I know the amounts) 31 marble, 64 anorthosite, 75 slate, 245 migmatite, 390 limestone, and 1,358 orthogneiss! There is just so much more of it than every other stone, it does make me wonder if it was overlooked somehow and left at common values.

Hmmm, I may have made a mistake when creating the rare and very rare versions. I recreate those each update, because I normally just develop the mod with the common values, then recompile a second and third time to make the rare and very rare ones.

The most common stone type for you should be Limestone, and I think Orthogneiss is the second most common. But the elevations for where each stone type can show up are different, so it could be that you have been exploring a lot at the right elevations to find more Orthogneiss than Limestone.

Either way, I'll make absolutely sure that the values are correct for the rare/very rare versions in the next update to Mystic Stones.

I love the whole mod, but I was wondering if you could put mobspawns in the dungeons.
Without mobspawners it just feels like free stuff.

I just got mob spawners working today! Next version of Mystic Ruins will include spawners, with up to as many as 5 spawners total in each dungeon:

I'm not using any other mods as far as I am aware. I tried a far lands mod, but deleted it and went back to default Minecraft settings as it wouldn't even load the main screen. I have not installed anything else.

Is there anything I needed to do besides drag&drop the .class files and delete the meta-inf folder?

Edit: I just reread the first post to this thread and realized I'd forgotten ModLoader. My bad! It seems to be working now. Thank you for your help. :smile.gif:

No worries, really glad you got it working. Let me know if you find any hidden dungeons, and what you think of them! =3

Hello, this is the first and only mod I've ever installed. I think I installed it (and the AxePack texture, which by the way I absolutely LOVE!) correctly, but I'm having a trouble.

Every time I try to use the wooden pickaxe on stone, my game crashes. I haven't had any crashes with the other wooden tools yet, and I can use the pickaxe on dirt with no problems.

Any ideas on what's causing this? Thanks for any input!

That happens when another mod that adds new tools is installed, or when ToolsUtils is installed with my mod. Please make sure that the other mods you are using are compatible.
