    I like it.

Also, I think if you craft it, it shouldn't give 16. Maybe 8, because it sounds better than normal tracks and should be harder to get.

Oh, yeah, 16 is way too much for such an easy to obtain item. I think six would be the ideal amount - equal to the number of redstone you put in to it.

^ That's exactly what I thought. I have a large chest almost full with redstone now, I feel this would be a great way to use it, especially because iron is already super useful as it is.

Here's a simple and easy idea - a redstone minecart track. Instead of making a track out of iron and sticks, you replace the iron with redstone and voila - a redstone track. It's just like a normal track, but it's automated, like if there was a powered minecart behind it.

Now, wouldn't this render powered minecarts unusable? No - a powered track runs a lot slower than a powered minecart would, and you can't use turns with it - this would make it more of a system to pull a minecart up a hill, like a roller coaster pulley.

    Any thoughts?

And the new dye sprites are awesome! Except bone meal! That looks like sugar! Have I mentioned bone meal looks like sugar?

It's really fun to do, in my opinion - but I only do it on one map, of course.

Speaking of this, I've been reading a blog on somebody doing this for a while now - his experiences are what led me to start doing it myself (he made it seem a lot more fun).

So, for those of you who don't know, playing Minecraft on hardcore mode is pretty much the only way to keep the survival aspect to the game. Hardcore mode is played like normal, only under these conditions:

    1. Hard difficulty, all the time.
    2. No mob farming or exploitation to get items - you earn your stuff the hard way.
    3. If you die, you delete your world, no second chances.

I've just started playing like this, and I'll tell you - you do not take chances here. You carry more food than you'll ever need, and you look before you leap, then take the stairs anyway.

Anybody else playing hardcore mode? Tell your stories here.

Edit: It always said hardcore not extreme didn't your mommies tell you lying was bad

I may add seasons after this pack has approached near perfection... but for now, its not ready for it.

Oh, no, I didn't mean actually add seasons - I meant change the leaves for trees between biomes similar to that of the seasons would be a good idea. Having a million different texture packs in one texture pack is a horrible thing.

I also don't really like the wood, it could be a bit darker and it could have some more of a, "wooden" look to it.

He's been trying to make it look like wood without it being rough and ugly for a while now, there've been a few attempts. I'm for a lined, grainy texture between each dark line on the current texture, personalized.

Oh, and on the topic of leaves being affected by biomes - we all remember the different seasons on the original quandary pack, right? What if you incorporated that style into biome-specific leaves? It'd be nice (except those wretched pink leaves, I hate those).

Say, what were those red dots on the slab of netherrack in the picture, anyway? That's bugged me since I first saw this pack.

Perfect - add a little white(gray) stem to it, and make the sac itself a bit more oily (if you're using gimp, you could just oilify that part with a mask level of 1 or 2).

It....looks....like....coal? The shapes and color scheme have a bit too similar of appearances for my (picky) taste. Maybe add a white cap or something on the top for better distinction - some sort of part that would attach to the squid's innards (eeeeeeeeew!) would be nice. Maybe that's what you're missing.

Oh, yeah - I think this has already been talked about by others, but the sun and it's 'lens flare' (the light coming off of it) seem kind of disjointed. I think smoothing the edges of both the outer rim of the sun and the inner circumference of the light would help them blend better, along with rounding out the sun a bit (just a bit, don't go overboard).

Edit: Hah, you replied while I was editing my post.

    I stand behind the planet.

I take an anvil support it with a long rope, stand you below it, cut the rope, and the floor falls out over an incinerator.

Edit: Because some people just can't be satisfied, I board a rocket ship and zip away. And if you say that's unrealistic (I'm running from a freaking mouth shooting a laser), I'll kill a baby.
