Welcome to Topia, a 1.18 SMP all about community and commerce--now in its second season! This time, I go from zero to diamond and go hunt down some llamas! They're important for my costume, you see.

I found out by reading the change logs on updates circa 2011 or so. I was confused by what they meant by "removed Herobrine," and went to look it up on the internet. My thought process was, "Oh, he's a creepypasta. That's pretty fun. What's actually in this update?" He's cool, though. Fun part of Minecraft history.
I am a very small content creator, looking for material for a new SMP Minecraft series for my channel. I've been involved with Pokemon since Gen 1 and have been playing the games since Crystal version, so when I was scrolling through the server ads here and ran across yours, I got very, very excited. The fact that you also have a functioning, player-run gym system, while also featuring a core of survival Minecraft gameplay, is really exciting to me. I think this server would be intensely fun to play on, and just as fun to record on!
What can you bring to the server?:
Exposure on Youtube. Uh, at least a little bit of exposure. A tiny bit of exposure. I mean it when I say my channel is very small. Miniscule, even. Other than that, I'm also a good builder. I'm friendly and pleasant to talk to, and happy to help with just about anything.
How many hours a week can you play?:
I do have a very young baby to take care of, which means my playtime is sometimes limited or suddenly interrupted. That said, I can probably play somewhere around two to four hours a day, depending on the day. So, maybe between fourteen and twenty-eight hours a week? A little less or a little more, depending on the particular week and my responsibilities IRL.

Looks good to me One of the issues you run into with overworld railways is mob spawns, and it looks like you have that covered with an elevated road and a 1x1 space for the rails (which mobs can't spawn on). The design looks good aesthetically too, though I would personally probably use stairs on the angled pieces. It looks fine without because it's a long and smooth angle, but stairs are just a trick people use in Minecraft to mitigate the blockiness. It also helps with that mob spawn issue that you've placed the lanterns down for: mobs also can't spawn on stairs.
A couple of suggestions to maybe help with the transportation: you can combine minecarts and chests in your crafting grid to make a minecart chest, which you can then send on your rails. I don't know how long your road is, so if it passes through any unloaded chunks, the chest cart will freeze there. Solution: accompany the chest carts on their journey.
Also, have you ever used shulker boxes? They're an end-game kind of tool (as in, you have to actually go to The End to get them), but they're basically like portable chests. You can fill 'em up and break them, and they'll keep their inventory. Pretty good for transporting large amounts of material at once.
Do your puzzles and challenges require them to destroy blocks? If not, you could try seeing if you can put them in adventure mode, which allows interacting with blocks and objects in the world, but disables destroying them.
My favorite trick for making shapes in Minecraft is to open MS Paint. You can select the exact size of the canvas in pixels using the "resize" option. Choose your shape, decrease the line thickness to 1, and draw your shape into the canvas. Now you have an image you can copy pixel-by-pixel into Minecraft.

* This is a Zelda-inspired adventure / exploration map, which I will be slowly building out over the course of this series!
* Luxumbra is a parallel world, like Lorule or Termina. There will be cities! There will be dungeons! There will not be a big, scary moon, though.
* The map will be released for download when it's done!
* Luxumbra Castle here took 61 hours over a month and a half to build.
