Wow, just saw this! I am looking forward A LOT to play around with and create new builds with noteblocks! Didgeridoo, I love this choice. How cool. And bit! Going to log in just to have a listen now.
Thanks for all the hard work Mojang, there are so many amazing additions to 1.14.

I am excited to start building in this creative world again, it has been a long time. The only building in creative I have done the last months is participating with a pumpkin house in the Pumpkin Carving Solo Contest on PMC. Despite not building for so long, I think I still did quite a good job.
Here's an update of what's been done lately:
Creating a new unique world name
I thought the name for this world 'Avion's Creative World with Teleportation Mini Games' was a bit long and unoriginal, so figured out a fun way to come up with a new name:
In ꕩ䪥ﺿ, the Arabic is the rightmost sign, the Chinese the middle one, and the Vai the leftmost.
I thought this variety of languages reflects the world well, with it many influences and different stories.
While the Arabic and Vai signs are purely phonetic (as far as I know), the Chinese character means 'shallot' or 'scallion. I like to think this represents the different layers of hidden meanings in the builds and puzzles of the world.
Updating the world's spawn
The cliff wall at spawn had a large wall with the worlds name, looking like this
With a bit of work, even streaming it on twitch, I managed to remove the sign and put in the new name in the Latin character version:
I thought about including the original characters in the sign, the Chinese part might be really tricky however, and I'm not sure it would improve the overall look
I also thought the whole spawn and teleportation area might be improved. Here is how it looks:
And with FOV 30:
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this update!
I would be super grateful for any comments and suggestions on how to improve the spawn area!
And also, what do you think about the name change and the sign designs?

I got awed myself by the Tree, now coming back after some months without Minecraft, thinking, how the heck did I do this? It's really nice, I feel like it has become bigger than myself, it has taken on a life of its own along with the world. I am working on improving it, replacing the log blocks with wood blocks. Hopefully the Acacian Ascendancy will be done come the end of 2018 for a 1.13 download along with an even more enhanced tree and an ender-themed build.
About the small rooms, I think part of the credit goes to experts at medieval styled building I've followed. In particular Jamzieboy's YouTube videos and dukonred1's YouTube videos and Twitch stream. Both built/build on the Conquest server, which I also joined and built on a short while in 2016. Some good keywords I remember: Detail, Atmosphere and Purpose. I also think there a personal touch to the builds, else they wouldn't appeal.
This is a beautiful reportage! It warms my heart to see you in the world leangreen76!
The skin looks so cool in the day & night room, it's like a perfect match and you look like a mysterious very inca-esque bird-human!
And thanks for watching my videos!!
I improved the audio by switching the headset, and further by applying normalization and noise reduction in a separate software from the video editor. There is a lot of room for further improvement; I want to connect a the studio microphone and the audio interface here at my parents. And then, I could eat better, practice my voice more and warm-up beforehand.

First, make sure you didn't miss the previous post, which is a proper journal entry!
Here is the fifth episode of the Let's Build for the Acacian Ascendancy:
The series has an intro now! I know it can be improved (especially the music which has a few bloopers), but it is what I had time for this week.
Just in the beginning of learning to edit videos. I'm using Kdenlive for editing and Audacity for extra audio work on Ubuntu 18.04 — working great for me so far!
Have a wonderful day! <3

Oceanic Overload
Roleplaying as Azu, the Flower Valley explorer and cartographer, travelled to the north!
For the trip I brought
The pickaxes 'Crescent Full Moon'[/i] and 'Pick of the Shear'[/i]
The axe 'Toma'[/i]
The shovel 'Silk Spoon'[/i]
So much new stuff to explore. This journey lasted over six hours!
It took a while to find an ocean, I first traversed a lot of desert.
The first new thing I came across was sea grass. And kelp! What an amazing addition! Kelp really helps when playing vegan — or for anyone who wants some good sea food!
I love the addition of shipwrecks, here is the first one I came across. This was just a half a ship, or less
Then I found another one, submerged this time!
The new animals are maybe the best thing... Turtles are so amazing. I bred them. It went ashore and dug sand so my computer lagged almost to a standstill due to the particle effects. Then these beauties appeared:
It seems a lot of patience is required to encounter baby turtles, I sat for at least an hour just watching while eating my dinner and browsing the web.
Then I stepped on one by accident and was really sad! =( I hope it never happens again!
I finally left the egg watch, and found one of the turtles had occupied my boat.
The turtle and I continued together for another hour.
We explored a desert temple ...
... watched a dolphin play
... and found the third shipwreck. This was the best so far! Check the spoiler to see why..
Yes, a treasure map! How cool! We had to backtrack a bit, but it was waaaay worth it!
Turns out it was just next to..
Yup, the desert temple from before had something hidden in the back yard
Iron ingots, emeralds and the heart of the sea! Hope to use the heart in some unique new build! Maybe it could be an underwater one, a plantation perhaps. The underwater structures generated by the vanilla game actually have a quite nice atmosphere too:
The shipwrecks kept coming, here was the fourth one, with a stone structure embedded in it. More emeralds for the chest in the Life Tree. Lapis and iron nuggets. And glazed terracotta which will be used in the Acacian Ascendancy.
Then I helped the turtle out of the boat and continued on my own for a looong while, looking for corals. They are supposed to appear in warm oceans, but I only encountered luke-warm ones. After six hours with no luck it was time to return. I leave you with a video compiling the satisfying clearing of a full inventory:
Organizing the loot
Music in the video courtesy of bkh.me/avion-photon-continuous-process (tracks 4 & 5 in their instrumental version)
Hope you enjoyed this journal entry and seeing me back ;D
Next, apart from the ongoing project on YouTube, might be something End inspired, as suggested by crossfireakira:
I think I will role-play as my mystical self 'Avi' and try adding something truly alien and weird! Hopefully I can involve some redstone in it too, should be a lot of fun!

Relaxed and played with some of the new blocks in 1.13
The new completely covered wood blocks are great for improving the trees in Flower Valley!
Here is a first screenshot of the result
So relaxing without the trapdoors I had before to cover the cut logs! (You can see how it looked like before in the bottom right of the image)
I am also currently streaming on twitch in case you want to hang out with me there and watch in real-time
UPDATE: showing before and after when replacing logs with wood
Roots of life tree

3 new episodes on YouTube for the Acacian Ascendancy!
Episode 2 : Detailing a cave by creating depth. Landscaping and making a proper entrance
Episode 3 : Detailing a cave and cistern walls with mineral veins. Removing dirt roof
Episode 4 : Filling a cistern with water using ice. Adding a stone roof and wooden walkways
How it looks like after four episodes:
I tried OptiFine but it crashed, hopefully I can get it working eventually for a smoother experience. I might install shaders again later for more appealing screenshots!
A teaser for what is coming up!
I am going to make an intro, flying and running around Flower Valley, along with some music I plan to compose next week!
Other things are planned as well... but I won't tell you here yet!!

I finally started the expansion north of my main area I envisioned already in late spring/early summer, but didn't have time for
But now I do! And I am making it a Let's Play video-series on YouTube, my first attempt at such a venture!
Here is what I have built so far, after four episodes:
Doesn't look like much, but a lot of thought has gone into it!
In the center of the screenshot you can see is a water cistern. It has been dug out to be a part of a natural cave, and it will be the heart and core of the planned self-sustainable structure to be built above. The cistern will provide water for cooling, irrigation, cleaning, washing and maybe more.
It is filled by the dug-out channel in the river to the left. I want to add a mechanism which closes the channel when it senses the cistern is full and opens it when its not.
If I can't figure out a way of doing it with redstone, I will at least make something non-functioning but visually indicating it.
The cave will also have a connection to my main area Flower Valley by mine-cart rails! A lot of digging to do, but it should be well worth it. The trickiest part will be how to integrate the rail with the existing track and tunnels to the mine-shafts and the desert in the east.

Amazing news!
The world has been updated to 1.13 and is hosted on Realms!
Nice people who understand what this survival world is about can now join and play with me
The next build in this world is called the Acacian Ascendancy and will is being constructed in the savanna to the north. Wohoo! It had gotten its own Let's Play series on YouTube
Here is the first episode
I want to build something truly unique north of the main area while sharing my best building techniques, aesthetic ideas and personal approach to the game with you.. I also want to learn video recording and editing and improve my way och talking and expressing myself... hopefully I can grow slowly and steadily like the ancient tree in Flower Valley and eventually take over YouTube and the world.., ;D
And, since Flower Valley finally is on 1.13 there are lot's of new stuff to explore PLUS with the new completely bark covered tree blocks there is the opportunity for a lot of improvement on the previous builds! The future of this world looks really awesome!

Just a quick update to say I hope to be able to update the world to 1.13 and continue journaling and building in it soon!!! I have missed you Minecraft!
In the meanwhile I hope some more people find this thread, download the world and get some inspiration! If you do, tell me about your experience! <3

Although I promised I would not create more content until I got my web page and home organized, I couldn't help myself yesterday. I snuck in a drawing inspired from Flower Valley and the Savanna story as part of my art practice. I had draw two images from a novel which evoked strong imagery in my mind. First I drew Alia and Shai Hulud from the Dune novel series, but then I thought, what the heck, I want to draw from the novel I haven't written yet! XD
I also named the inhabitants of Flower Valley;
It is possible, but perhaps a bit hard, to guess where almost each one does as their main activity in Flower Valley...
If you don't feel like guessing, here's the answer in a spoiler:

That's not a bad thing! You can use it too, if you start looking at organic things with geometry in mind, find the cylinders, cones, boxes etc that you can build them from. Then add curves and details. Any human or animal has symmetry right?

Great, I look forward to what you will make of the houses in the oriental garden! I have a very soft spot for oriental architecture. I even imported a japanese futon and tatami mats for my home to sleep, meditate, work and exercise on. =D
I missed that other minecart, I will go back and have a look around the Chunk Plaza!

Today while cleaning and sorting out stuff at home and in my garden a dog in the neighborhood that often barks incessantly for hours drove me nuts. I finally cursed and had enough and decided to just take my backpack and leave for the town library. What a relief! Now I am talking my first stroll through the Easter DL to relax and calm myself down.
First I went outside the main house, and noticed one thing you might want to fix, There seems to be dirt blocks missing here and there around the well. I suspect endermen. Especially where one piston is visible. Also around the two oak trees.
in my previous run through your world I didn't notice you had made a staircase using pistons!
As before, I really like the oriental garden, I would give the houses there some more love and instead of torches on the floor, perhaps make some lanterns hang from the ceiling, or stand in the corners.
I entered the art gallery, it sure is buzzing now! Again, just like IRL I feel so sensitive to all the noise and quickly escaped to the library! Am I developing some sort of claustrophobia or audiophobia? I hope it will pass!
Mount Doom looks great! You have a lot of interior to do! I think perhaps the staircase is a bit close to the tables in one of the rooms?
I like the old log kept in memorium at the end of the track to half-way house! That's where I ended up for now, I might walk around a bit more later.

Hi again pplum25! I will certainly share it, I have the first part thought out in my head already
I am really glad you loved it leangreen76! You will have time to catch up, since I won't be posting for a while - I am working on getting my home and web-page in really good order. Then I can come back to being creative again!
