Damn, even after a complete .minecraft reinstall, the game still keeps crashing every 10~ minutes

Please post a full bug report if possible. It's helpful to know the class file and line number where the exception is occurring.

Hi Half Drop, yeah maybe you and Armagedon got lucky.

I am still trying to get through the first layer. Decided to open it all up after having done a lot of tunneling looking for a way through. This room is 42 x 42 blocks and therefore represents 1,764 exposed mantle blocks. With some additional tunnels heading of in various directions I have exposed around 2,000 mantle blocks, using about 220 TNT in the process.

Definitely not a fun game mechanic.

If you get really lucky you can dig straight down all the way to mantle without hitting bedrock.

Btw, feel free to post images of the mushroom caves you've discovered

The old "too many java.lang.NullPointerException" server list bug again:

I'll delete the public server folder to reset when you say it's ok to do so.

Avernite, would it be possible to add Knoxx/Chronnis's public server (and only that server in thel ist, since its the only official mite public server we have for now) in the public server default list ?

Knoxx, please send Avernite an image that is representative of the server (ideally, some point of view straight from spawn), along with a short single paragraph description. The image needs to be 427x240 pixels. You also can choose a "background color" representing the "server".

The following would be an example of the full html paragraph that would then be added in the public_servers.txt file of a next release.

server_address=###.###.###.###:25565|world_name=New Avernia|start_date=Late Summer 2017|description=This is the MITE official public server./Spawn in the Extreme Hills,/then explore around to find forest and more!/ThenTextLine4/UpToTextLine5|website=mite.chronnis.com|image_url=http://minecraft-is-too-easy.com/public_servers/New_Avernia.png|theme_color=FF00FF|backdrop_opacity=0.4

It would make your server more well known.

    ;-)

The minecraft-is-too-easy.com domain expired yesterday and that's probably what's causing the issue. Playing with R193 and R194 will solve it.

Having Single Player & Multiplayer offer the same gameplay is good.

However, in this case here of Time Forwarding, such a simple solution just won't work. Here's simply what would happen:

    - "Gee whiz. unless I play for 10 hours straight in a row, when I log back in today after having played yesterday, a blood moon (or two) occurred already, and all my crops have super mega ultra blighted !"

It would just become 100% impossible to have crops.

Okay, I'll try disabling blood moon blighting on dedicated servers for the next release. It seems the easiest solution.

Actually wouldn't putting time forwarding back in kind of put it out of line with Single Player (from an individual player point of view) as your single player worlds do not of course time forward when you are not in them. Of course the day counter doesn't move either in your single player world but maybe you get what I mean!

Yeah, depends on how you look at it.

Hi Avernite. I know it was back in Gandrok days that I suggested doing something about vegetable growth on a server as it was so easy to plant a bunch of vegetables , log out, and then log back in 7 MC days later and harvest a full field of crops. You changed it so there was no time forwarding on unloaded chunks on the server and that has made it more similar to single player worlds.

I can't remember when blight on the blood moon was added but I think it may have been after the time forwarding change. The problem we are noticing on "New Avernia" (Server IP address mite.chronnis.com) is that the blood moons can end up occurring every 2 days in terms of plant growth.

E.g. You have a blood moon and have to bone meal like crazy to fix all the blight in your vegetable garden. You play for 2 minecraft days and then disconnect. You rejoin the next day (or whenever) and discover that the next blood moon is in 1 MC day. That would mean your vegetable garden would only get 3 days of growth before being subject again to a massive blight.

What is happening is that anybody that is growing vegetables is logging out ay 7pm on the night of the blood moon and then logging back in the next morning to avoid repeated blight events.

Unless you have some other fancy way of dealing with it I think the simplest fix would to discontinue "Blight on a Blood Moon" but for servers only. That mechanics still adds worthwhile challenge in a single player world where you can control the last day that you plant in anticipation of an upcoming blood moon.

Disabling blood moon blight on dedicated servers would be an easy fix for the problem, yeah. How about re-enabling time forwarding on dedicated servers instead? That appeals to me a bit more because it would bring it more inline with SinglePlayer.

Ouatcheur, New Avernia having crash issues today. Working to resolve. Website is still up but server is down, as you've noted.

Avernite, the crash happened for another separate player which makes me think perhaps there is a world corruption or similar.

Can you advise me on whether this can be fixed or I should attempt to reset from backup?

Edit: Anyone, I post server notices on the discord, see website for invite.

Sounds like a chunk corruption problem if there's missing blocks near spawn. In that case I would recommend restoring a backup. Otherwise you could edit the server.properties file and set "enable-mapping=false".

What do you guys think about halving chicken egg and manure drop rates and giving cows +1 to 2 steaks?
