Can't go wrong with this seed. Accidentally put it in under default biome generation, and ended up with crossing ravines not 15 blocks away, with a third branching to the right off the right ravine.
Just curious, though: did I see correctly there are no animals, and how does it look underground (like, dungeons or ravines)?
About 120 blocks south of where the two mountains are joined is a medium-ish cave system under the water. Takes you down to y=11 level, and contains a zombie spawner.
I have to have a multiple of 8 of the food I plan on cooking. If the cows leave me with 33 food, I travel distances to get those other 7.
I can't leave a tree sitting on the edge of a one dirt block high ledge, I'll either chop it down, or rebuild the ledge so there is grass on every side of the tree.
I havent played the snapshot, but do they still spawn more zombies if their underground (Since it was mentioned that they rain down)? If so, this is going to make my simple zombie xp farm very entertaining when killing 150+ at once with a splash potion...
I just got this error about 30 minutes ago on my single player world. Before it happened I was just doing the normal tree chopping and mountain climbing, then small freeze and crash message. I can open any of my other single players no problem, and had MCpatcher as my only mod, however I did a clean install of Minecraft, and drag and dropped the crashed world into the new folder, and still same error.

Once again, it only crashes on that one single player world, modded or un-modded, and has been running fine for months before this moment.
Very nice house, especially the front. How has no-one mentioned that the building looks like a wolfs head? Snout, teeth, angry eyes, etc. Great design =)
My first successful attempt at coming up with my own design for buildings (haven't seen it before, but not saying someone doesn't do it). I used to use one of Jamziboy's designs, and always ended up making that my house when I couldnt think of anything else.
Tried out the design in a small house, and liked it enough to see if it'd hold for a larger house. Suggestions welcome.
(Couldn't think of what to put at the entry room, so ended up being pretty bare.)
(Lights in tree too to help with lighting issues).
Enchant/Brewing + Upstairs bed (2 pics):
(Didn't want windows obstructed, so went with lowering the whole floor half a step, and enchanting full block.)
Smelting room (3 pics):
(Stopped the wood theme in here for obvious reasons. Fire > Me.)
(Opted out of windows for vent-like slits.)
(For some reason I really like this chimeny-less roof, open vents all around!)
Stock room (1 pic):
(More halfstep accents to get more space without taking up entire walls.)
Needless to say 'Iv found I like half-steps quite a bit. If you can think of anything that might need to be added (farm and ranch come later, as well as portal room) or rearranged, don't hesitate to suggest. Plus building things get boring if you don't share.
Not sure if anyone out there has been looking for an underground base setup or just like ravine hopping, but I stumbled upon a surface ravine that has 6 more ravines attached in multiple intersections.

Not at all, up for grab for all.

Not sure if anyone out there has been looking for an underground base setup or just like ravine hopping, but I stumbled upon a surface ravine that has 6 more ravines attached in multiple intersections.
Imageshack incoming
Surface ravine + cords: http://img685.images...20803215915.png
Intersection 1 looking from the floor of the surface ravine: http://img155.images...20803215923.png
Same intersection, just closer: http://img39.imagesh...20803215931.png
2nd major intersection to the right of first: http://img29.imagesh...20803220032.png
There are a couple more ravines cutting across the others, but you get the idea.
Top ravine at (X: 378, Z: 416)
Seed: 4024338324870544813
Spawn is at the border of a jungle biome and a mountain biome (some interesting shapes), snow biome is a stones throw away, blah blah blah RAVINE!
