If Avalanchetter fails, I suppose I will take up the mantle of constructing Aeris Brittania. Except with Vanvlak Industries instead of Steamlads Inc.; because I seriously like the name. Steamlads might be in there somewhere, though.

Excuse me, but who gave you my permission?

Avalanch! I come with a suggestion. I found a really kickass mod that makes travelling a lot easier, the TeleportSigns mod. It's a really simple idea, and essentially you can put coordinates or a SinglePlayerCommands waypoint into a sign, click it, and it'll teleport you to those coords/waypoint. It's really neat, I've tested it and haven't come across any glitches.

It may be useful as heck in navigating such a large world - though I still think a train system would rock. You could easily implement them with teleport stations to take you to a central hub with teleports leading out to all the major sectors of the world, or they could take you to the trains, or both.

Thus concludes this message. Godspeed, friend!

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/985375-110grims-mods-updates/

That would be cool, but my computer hates mods with all its heart, not allowing them to actually be installed, let alone work.
    Also, to everyone else, UPDATE:
Laptop charger is having issues again. Have to put project in limbo until then.

    Hooray! You're not dead! :iapprove:

Avalenchetter, how has Aeris Britannia been since you were last active?

Honestly? ...been starting over again. And again.
Its just that all my work (not a lot of it actually - I started my second year of high-school a few days ago. Today is Saturday morning. I haven't had much time to work on it) looks like Anesthetic ant compared to others work T.T.
I'm not sure I can do this....

Also, who said anything about me being alive? :Zombie:

This is a new way to play hardcore survival in minecraft. I've tried and died five times already.

    Instructions:
    1. Make a new map. Make in hardcore and super-flat. But don't touch the "generate structures" button.
    2. SURVIVE.

Its sounds simple enough, but its not. God, its not. Far from it.

    Have fun :-D

posted a message on All dem Dimensions! Updated with another anouncement!
Can I offer some suggestions? I love the mere mention of new dimensions :biggrin.gif:

    1. Overfreeze (or some other name) -
Made of lots of ice, snow and all that good stuff. Contains lots of ore, as well as snow-related mobs (like giants, mammoths, ect). I also thought of a possibility of getting frozen :iapprove: . Its reached by making a Type 2 semi-static portal with snow blocks combined with water buckets. This makes Frost Bricks, which you make the portal with. It only works in snow biomes. It's portal stuff is bright purple.

    2. Steamworld -
A dimension for Steampunk enthusiasts. The dimension looks pretty much like the overworld, but all in muted color. You can craft Steampunk-related stuff (such as Airships, Goggles, Rayguns, ect).

has anyone suggested a mining city? If not, I think one would be required. There could be a couple of building above ground but most of the city would be underground. There would be lots of mine shafts and a strip mine level 17 down. Also, the older, unused shafts could be used as housing for workers. Also, lots of furnace rooms to smelt iron and gold ore.

Gasglow is going to be the mining capital. But I will take on your ideas.

if we got enough people interested, we could rent a server out online. I looked into once, the cheaper ones can hold 16 players and only 12 dollars a month. Here's the site I looked at http://redstonehost.com/clientarea/cart.php?. It has several levels too so we can switch it. The only problem is finding a way to arrange payment for it.

Also, we could put a page on the server forums as a request. Maybe some kind-hearted fellow will help us out on this.

BTW, I'd like to help out with building but as of now, my computer has problems with minecraft, I think it's a java issue. I will be getting a macbook pro before the summer.

    1. True. But I have no moneys :sad.gif: . I think we should just continue the way we are. I made good progress on Barlow Station (see if you can guess the reference) today.
    2. Sorry to hear about the minecraft thing.

Urg...finished the train/airship station floor...took me more than an hour! Haven't even started on the walls.

I figured it was about time I made something that's actually DIRECTLY related to Steam Punk type stuff for once. (I mentioned the factory only because the guy who thought of them said they were supposed to be everywhere.)

You can probably expect a lot more stuff from me soon. :iapprove:

    Oh, and Happy New Year!

Happy new years to you also!

CITY IDEA: Cloudhold (or something like that :tongue.gif: ). This would be a huge floating city, that would be a refueling/docking station for airships... mostly made of lightweight materials if possible (to keep it in the air). Also include an area where normal people can charter or rent airships. I may expand this idea later if I think of anything.

I like this idea a lot! Although the name is arguable...how about something like "Stronghold Altocumulus"?

Gah!!! I'm back! Alive! Sorry for the long time I was gone, guys. Went on a server for a few minutes, became popular, went to a new years party, ate 3 years worth of x-box live wages, went home at 11:30, woke up at 9:20, all that good stuff. The bad news is that I have decided to start over again. I found out that the map I was working on was 98% snow biome. So I've made a new map and am currently going full steam ahead (get it?!...no? alright, I'll be in the corner over there...). Expect a progress report in a few days.

    Gran Fua: Town of Nomads

This village is very hard to find. Why? Because...the buildings can walk. This nomad tribe has a ritual every full moon, where they fire their arrows up into the air, as the dance around a big fire, and feast on the raw meat of slaughtered pigs, and goats. But, every time they do this ritual, it attracted feral wolves, so every full moon, at least 5 people in their tribe would die. Their solution was to build a cabin. But...they were nomads, it was in their blood, and in their soul to continue wondering the deserts, and grass plains.

So, they invented the "Walking Cabin" a house just like any other that uses steam engines to power the feet it has underneath. (The houses are held up by one block on each corner of the building that represents a "Mechanical foot")

There are also walking shops, a walking SteamLads Inc. Factory, a walking school house, and a walking City Hall.

If you decided to make the engines visible, I was thinking we could have a row of about three sticky pistons, with iron blocks on top that if you can figure out how, go up, and down in an engine like way, at the flick of a lever.

(For looks, I thought we'd make two copies of this town, that are really far away from each other, one in a desert biome, and one in a far away grass lands, this way, it looks like the village really CAN move around. The trick, is to have everything set up, and laid out EXACTLY like it was in the first copy. Same contents of the buildings, same formation the buildings are in, down to the last detail)

I love literally everything accept the Steamlads factory. Its a tribe, as you said, so why would they have a airship factory. Other than that, you did a good job. Will be adding it soon.
