When next version gonna to Come out or still working on it

When map makers don't post any updates the next months after their first. It means the project is either on pause or dead.

Hey guys, Longor1996 has lost interest in minecraft, and so will not be updating this mod in the near future.

I will continue development, with permission, on talecraft. My main focus is to fix bugs and implement many of the things Longor had planned.

I KNEW IT! I told you Minecraft won't stay alive for more than two years. Again... anyone can find my channel I am still working on SPAWNED engine regardless that I lost most of the progress (when my dad destroyed my laptop) I am going to try to achieve *One game (along with video presentation) a week*. I need all the support I can get because I think this is as close as you will get to Adventurecraft remake as it is suppose to be a game engine based on using voxels. I bet one day we will see Longor again if I will be successful enough.

Longor you have showed your interest in programming and I will want to share/explain my project with you if you ever find inspiration in it.

https://www.youtube.com/user/gurunext is the place. Again some eagle has to show up consume the dead body (although I don't think your code is useful to me). Took me some circling around to get to this point. Sorry Longor :D

Now for me... growing up at this point... I just declared full commitment to do what I do best - programming (for most of my free time) Luckily what you do in the school is replaced with me working 12 hours ~3 nights a week. And even though it's a peace of **** job I at-least get immediate benefit to not worry about my future and focus on my work. So you can bet I'll get somewhere pretty soon. And again I don't want the community to die off completely, maybe do something crazy to celebrate 5th anniversary of Spawned TCF. What an adventure... Many men have fallen, but I am not done yet!

Adventurecraft thought me a lot of things, not only about building a map and all that. But also a lot about being social, thought me a lot of english, and boosted a lot of abilities like understanding surroundings better, reading between the lines ext. Adventurecraft will always have a special place in my heart. Gurunext, i have seen a lot of your work, and it's impressive. Too bad your father ruined it. Good luck to you, great stuff is coming your way! :)

*sees thread* *mind blows up as it realizes the sheer amount of flaws*

    Sorry about that.

Wow, AdventureCraft. Back in the day, that mod was literally the best in the business. I remember being blown away by how COOL it was... Minecraft, but with more... story. Adventure. Action. I have occasionally seen a Legend of Zelda map for it being thrown around the Map section, but have never managed to get it up and running. Too much effort for my lazy fingers.

In all seriousness, if you want to be noticed, you seriously need to update your thread. You need to lay it out properly, you need to use proper grammar (you're from the US, so there isn't really much of an excuse), you need pictures, you need to actually use more than one sentence, you need to lay it out in need paragraphs, you need a title. I feel really naggy, but in truth, you need to do these things for anyone to be interested in the work you are putting this. I hope you use better grammar in the actual map.

I'm not deliberately mean. If I am, tell me, and I'll apologize. I just think that people need to realise that those really popular people, the really famous map-makers, they put a ton of effort not only into the map, but into the thread. Do you think iPhone's (whether you like them or not) would be as popular if Apple weren't so good at advertising? If their advert was lazy, full of errors, didn't have pictures of the actual phone? Nope. Nobody would buy them. The truth is, advertising is just as important as the products itself, and creating a thread for a map is really just that. Advertisement.

    Good luck :)

I agree, Adventurecraft was heaven. It was amazing to see other peoples work at that time. I still do Adventurecraft today. I don't like being rude at all, nor is this not in my place to say, not anyone really. But Sonicfan here hasn't been doing so well on one project. Nor has he put effort into any of his new map threads. He is not experienced with AC like us today, but that's not a problem, we all start that way. But he is getting his nose into stuff he doesn't understand yet. I have tried talking to him about it, to stop begging for scripts, textures. Again I'm not saying this to offend anyone.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But Sonicfan gotta learn what scripts is, you gotta learn how to do whatever the functionalities of Adventurecraft, before you post any major project, like remaking a Zelda game. What I'm trying to say is, when you start a map. Commit yourself to that map, with your map topic creating phase, there's no way to focus on one map, it's also impossible to understand if you're still working on it or not.

A little friendly advice as I mentioned earlier. Here's a list to what you should actually do when you're creating a map, I haven't been doing well on this part but I have learned, and we all have been there.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    (1) So what you first should do is plan out what your map is, what game is it from, is it your own story? Its all up to you, its the beauty of Adventurecraft. Plan out at least a descent story, just saying that if your player starts In the middle of a field with a weapon and a shield, perhaps a sign pointing somewhere saying "Forest Temple", it won't exactly shine in glory. You at least got to have a purpose. So think about all your map will contain, write it down I notes if that helps you (It certainly helps me) and think about what your first version / demo will contain.

    (2) So the second thing is obviously starting the actuall map, I usually build a small start area, usually a little village, its up to you where the player starts, but again think about purpose. As I get more and more into the village, you'll start to understand what theme this village would fit, so you get a song and add it to your map. As the map progresses, you should start thinking about gameplay. With gameplay comes textures and looks. The map must look attractive and must be over all fun to play, exciting. You should NOT and I repeat NOT copy textures without permission from the creators or users of those textures. It doesn't really matter what order you add this in, but understand you need to have both balance and control in what you use in your map.

    (3) As you've worked enough on gameplay and building nature, cities, maybe a dungeon, all exciting and fun gameplay with purpose, and you feel like you're closing in on a first version for your map, that's when its time for you to make a topic, not before you even start the actual map, which is what I believe you've been doing for quite a while now.

This is pretty basic. As I said, it's all up to you. but the better the story, with both excitement and purpose, your map is probably a success. You seem to be a little new to AC, so don't go asking for scripts before you understand how it all works. It takes time, its no shortcuts believe me. And also, we have all been there, not in the same way, but at your level.

I wish good luck to you sonicfan, I hope you start commiting to one map, I'm not telling you to stop making a 1000 maps every month, but you get my point. I hope you wont answer this post with ignorance, like you did too Oliverthepen here.

Scripting is already implemented and usable, there just isn't a tutorial yet (I am a terrible tutorial writer!).

Cutscenes can be done with scripting if you feel fancy, but they will be a bit laggy!

I'm hoping the scripting system is java script, and if theres a wiki or somethign you could post a script guide. I'm also hoping you are planning on adding camera blocks?

Wow... now you're just making up stuff. Alright. If this Talecraft fan base became so hostile I should get the **** out of it. It's not hard for me to understand things, but there are things that I genuinly don't know so I ask them.

And reasons why people argue to begin with is to come to conclusions and make better decisions in the future. I still don't see how virtual world should treated be so separate from the real world.

I don't think it is, but there's obviously a difference (which we all know). This virtual life thing is just a little hobby you do, but you put important life situations and matter before it. I'm not sure if its something more complicated than that, but as simple as it is, there's no point in arguing about it.

Well ya mind telling me where this ac tutorial is? I wanna play ac but all the tutorials are make no sense. Reply Plz.

This isn't really the correct topic to ask for help to fix your AC.

However, download AC, and replace this .minecraft folder with the current one in AC, it should work, enjoy.

    Great to hear man!

I will try to make the eventing/triggering as simple as possible with the new system.

Setting up a new trigger will probably be like: (italic means its AC-style)

    • Place trigger block.
    • Select what shape the trigger has (Blocks | Box | Cylinder | Sphere | Hyperplanes).
    • (-Using Blocks-)
    • Place a bunch of 'Ghostblocks' next to the trigger-block.
    • Select what should be done when the trigger is triggered. (Invoke Trigger (default) | Execute Command | Execute Script)
    • (Optional) Select what can trigger the trigger (Players? Monsters? NPCs? Projectiles?).
If this isn't easy enough I would like to hear ideas on how to make the whole thing simpler.

Also, In the long run you are better off learning commands and scripting, as 'trigger blocks' are not very capable of doing advanced things.

Btw: All scripts and triggers are executed on the server-side. The client-side is taboo (except for custom GUIs).

Following is a small list of blocks that I thought of over the last few weeks:

    • Itemdropper: Like a dropper, but with infinite items.
    • Teleportzone: Instant two-way teleportation. Basically a invisible box-shaped portal.

    • Holographic Text/Image/Blocks: Name says all.
    • EXT Commandblock: Like the vanilla command-block, but with extra features.
    • Opinions?
See you in two weeks, and hopefully I can give you TaleCraft 0.1.0!

EDIT: My mobile internet surfstick is working, YAY!
And I managed to fix the 'NoItemIsDisplayed'-bug, YAY!

NOW I can do some real coding!

And for those who whonder what the fix was...
     Minecraft.getMinecraft().getRenderItem().getItemModelMesher().register(Item.getItemFromBlock(TaleCraftBlocks.clockBlock), 0, new ModelResourceLocation("talecraft:clockblock", "inventory"));

Its 22:07 o'clock and I feel very (very) happy. Bed, here I come!

    - Have a nice night!

    Good to hear man!
