This isn't a realism suggestion, as real genes do not inherit acquired traits.
I would love to see more shades of wool and sheep.
I guess your right, but yes I do think there should be some kind of thing with the sheep where it alters the shade of wool. It might add a lot of more implementing but it would be cool if you could shear the new shades and place em down.
Usually, I'm against realistic ideas for Minecraft. But I actually appreciate this one! I do think sheep should have more colors and complexity. Yes I said colors. There needs to be more shades of grey, red, pink, whatever!
On topic with your suggestion though, I personally could go either way with this since I myself typically never use leather armor. Less time consuming to get Iron Armor. Still, your suggestion makes sense to me.
Yeah.. the thing is, I still am not fully happy with even this being the use for cauldrons. But anyways the main reason I want to completely erase the normal recipe (besides my new proposed one) is because I think it should be mandatory to use a cauldron if you want that one addition to your armor.
I want you all to know that although it may seem like it, I don't exactly want to do this because it's what only I want. I did this because it would add another use and more realism. Of course I don't want the game to be too realistic like having falling tress but pe has this so..
So as many of you know, the pocket edition of Minecraft has an exclusive feature where you are able to dye leather armor with cauldrons. How do you do this? Simply fill up the cauldron with water, then add a dye of choice in it by right clicking, and then you just right click your leather armor piece on it. Does the dye go away? No! It just simply takes away a level of dyed water. Like regular water cauldrons.
Why should this be added in the first place?
As many of you know, Minecraft PC Edition has been having many features implemented over from MCPE. Why not this feature? Upon replacing the recipe with the cauldron, it could be more realistic and decorative.
A little more detail
What I mean exactly is get rid of the crafting recipe, and instead give the recipe to the cauldron! I don't want this for all blocks with dyes, just armor because it would be a little too far, although it would be interesting.
What happens if I try getting the water from the cauldron with a bottle?
If you try doing this, you get a bottle with the color of the dye in it! You can also use this in crafting to get the dyed leather armor instead of the old recipe.
What if I try refilling the dyed water in the cauldron with regular water?
It just refills the cauldron with regular water and gets rid of the dye. R.I.P. dye.
New Dimension? All I know is that he suggested some op stuff. And now I can't make my end ore thread since this unbalanced one is here. But really, rarity does not equal balance.
Also did you really vote yes on your own thread? I counted the people here and there's only about 6 that could have voted.
One question, How to save the picture? I really can't imagine how large is the save data. There's reason why maps have limit.
Wait, you mean like save a drawing on your minecraft file that you make in the canvas? So that you can easily get another painting if yours gets destroyed or something? I'll have to give some thought to that but yes I will add it soon.
Sounds good for a mod, not sure if this would fit well in normal minecraft
Thanks anyways, but I feel it would be something creative players could use. Note Minecraft is also a building game and this could add something interesting to building. It is purely cosmetic.
You all probably know that we can hang up some pretty paintings on the wall. Pretty cool right? Well guess what, you can't make your own pieces of art! What I am suggesting is a way to draw your own paintings inside of Minecraft. I'm well aware there is a way to do this, but it requires a lot of work. This will make it easier AND, add a "use" to ink sacs!
What is it?
I suggest a new block called a "canvas holder". What this block does is that you are able to place a paper on it, updating the look of the canvas holder with a canvas on it.
How does it work?
If you right click this canvas holder it will open up a GUI. In this GUI there are two item slots, one for a paper and another for ink sacks. Why the ink sacs? For every painting created an ink sac is used.
Creating a painting.
Once you have your paper and ink sac in you are ready to start drawing! When you open up the canvas holders GUI there is a screen to the right of the two slots. This screen is where you draw and it has a grid to help you draw. At the bottom of the screen you have basic color buttons and to the far right of the screen you have more advanced options such as a color "circle" where you drag a box around it to pick a different color shade, and a bar under it where you can drag a box side to side to make the color darker/lighter. Now that you know your color mechanics we go to the size of the painting. At the very top of the GUI there are 4 buttons to pick the size. One is the tall painting option, another is the wide painting option, another is the small square painting option, and the last is the really big square painting option. Once you select a size you can now start your painting. Remember that grid I mentioned? With each size the grid matches its dimensions and when you drag/click in the pixels the grid draw out it paints the pixel(s) with the color you have selected. When you are done with your desired painting, just click the Done button to the far bottom right corner and you get a painting in your inventory. Once you obtain it you can hang up you beautiful work of art on the wall.
Canvas Holder Crafting Recipe
Sticks going up each side, and wooden planks of any kind going down from the top only two slots.
Coming Soon: Images, Possibly more options, and Block Model.

Support for the suggestion. But would the arrows still keep their current use?

Well I really don't think of it as a sky.. I think of it as a sort of void.
What's with the WARNING: Volatile Thread in the title?

I want to but first I want to put in some images and get some feedback here.
