posted a message on Astram's Modpack - Server Sponsorship

    Greetings!

Allow me to introduce myself, I am an experienced member of the Minecraft community as I've worked on many large projects for large servers. Generally people would know me as a plugin developer, as that is what I am most fond of. I've worked on large servers such as Mineplex and AliaCraft before which are two remarkable servers. I am seeking a sponsorship for an upcoming public modded servers featuring my very own modpack that I assembled featuring a host of new and update mods.

    My goals are as follows:

    • Establish a strong playerbase
    • Retain 99.99% server uptime
    • Generally free of costs
    • Keep the server's mods updated to the most recent versions
    • Shelter a fun and entertaining environment

Obviously these goals are quite cliche for any modded Minecraft server, but with the experience behind my belt I am sure I can accomplish this. As you may have noticed, I listed "free of costs." Currently I am low on budget and am looking to host this modded server free of costs on my end. I am contacting YOU since you are a server host, and hopefully you might consider broadening your horizons with your very own modded server representing the face of the company.

What is in it for you:

    • An active test server for clients to see your server's performance on a modded community
    • Most likely 100% of donations will go to your company
    • More advertising for your company
    • Having another source of income, broadening your horizons from just server-hosting to server-owning

There are quite a few benefits that will solidify your business and help it grow. Together we could harness an immense community of modded players, and manage our very own prosperous modded server.

    Thank you for reading,

Id like to join because I do YouTube as well. I have over 250 subscribers and I might do videos. But I'm mainly looking for a private survival to do.

I play casually just when I sort of feel like it.

No offense, but you're literately the cause for all of this. Your signature says: "$5 for INSTANT OP" which is exactly what Mojang doesn't want.

posted a message on EULA Revisited: an Updated Q&A From Mojang
To all of you who say this is a good thing, I'm a developer and I know exactly what it's like in this situation. Almost everyone here would've been fine if you didn't even realize this existed, or if this issue never arose at all. You most likely would've continued normally playing Minecraft. However, as a Developer achieveing proper pay was already a difficulty that we always had in the back of our minds. Good people are actually losing full time jobs due to this dispute.

Mojang's stance behind this is that they want Minecraft to be played as they think it should be. They are limiting innovation, creativity, and expansion within the Minecraft community because instead of creating new games we will be created cosmetic and vanity items. In the nicest way possible, Mojang is very disconnected from their community in this issue. Dinnerbone recently tweeted that there are only dozens of people out of hundreds angered about this situation. He's clearly unaware of the outstanding developer community that's screaming Mojang's name to fix the EULA dispute. Mojang has also invited popular servers to Minecon, where revenue generation was discussed regarding donation perks, etc. Mojang was fine with the situation and actually promoted it back then, and now they backlashed on their community when Minecraft was at it's peak.

This is an interesting subject, but, we all know minecraft games alike have done this many times. What will they do to enforce this rule? Shut down your server? Can they even find out who runs/owns it?

    1. I have run a server under an alias with fake information before, and even on a private machine, which means they wouldn't be able to contact the host, because the host would be me, and the email would be unresponsive.

    2. How I run a server, what ranks/tiers are payed for, or content I decide to run via plugins is non of their business...

Sounds to be like a fail by mojang to be honest. You cannot control how servers are being run...

I would love to see the reactions and discussions on this matter, this is sure to fail. I can't see anything bad happening if someone ignores these rules...

    *ignores them*

They would revoke your IP from the session servers as they said that they would, they obviously don't need the host's permission.

    Nice!

I'm still adding new pictures to the game (~10 empty slots left), if you want to propose something, you can!
Mind if I use this concept as a Minigame in a Minigame server? I'm an expert coder and I'm working on a professional Minigame server.

posted a message on Compact 2x1x2 Clock - Snapshots
Here is a little modified version of the BUD Switch I previously posted.

It is almost the same exact design, however, this design is pretty small and only requires 4 blocks. It's made for survival much like the other bud switch and is very cheap to create. Keep in mind, I do use a sticky piston.

To create the clock just click on the spoiler below!

EDIT: It is actually more compact than I advertised it to be. It's only 3x1x2! :)

Hello forums, I discovered a really compact BUD switch. Below I have pictures of how to create it. To power is just put the block next to the piston. Also, it is in fact a sticky piston.

Also, I apologize for the image being quite large and it now showing only my Minecraft window but I didn't feel like going through the process of getting to my screenshots.

Great support, I accidentally purchased a server that was incapable of doing what I wanted to do. As a plugin developer I'd require much more RAM and much more TPS, while I bought the cheapest package. I then asked for a complete refund and got one. What a great company! Best support.

    Try 192.168.0.1

Try that for what? The default gateway isn't that for me.

Your LAN ip address may have changed if you've gotten a new router, if you're using windows you click the start button, type in "cmd", once the console pops up you can type in "ipconfig" and you'll want to find your ip4 address and the last number may have changed so that has to be the same number that is in the port forwarding in 10.0.0.1 hope this helps!

Sorry for being so late, but that didn't really solve the issue as that's what I've been doing when I port forward. :P

I'd like to add that for my wifi connection is only disconnecting on my computer, and when I plug it in it's fine.
