    damn nice :)
is it still working with minecraft 1.2.3?

Just did a clean install and installed properly as directed with nothing else. Unfortunately it seems to have made Minecraft crash. I think it's just a general native habit with Minecraft that everything not officially supported is broken during a major update. :(

    How experienced are you with skyblock: I've played it in SSP and know the basics...but that was a while ago. ^.^;

Why do you want to join this server?: Was meandering about the forums and saw the thread. Thought it was a cool idea and the server itself seems to be made and maintained to a fairly high standard. Looks like a fun time.

Have you read the rules and realize that any griefing or stealing AT ALL is logged with the logblock plugin and you will be banned for breaking the rules?: Indeed. No one likes griefers (not even the griefers like eachother...though seeing them argue can be entertaining sometimes).

So far having a great time with the mod, and no issues yet. The "Go kill things to prove your valor!" is a great excuse to fire up my "**** yeah!" music and go fight monsters until dawn. ^.^

After the first snow set in I am quickly finding it best to not question how snow blocks hold lava, and am starting to retrofit my little cobble generator with snow...bad news is that it snowed before my first sapling grew and I had to encase it in a little dirt hovel to avoid killing it. >.>

Firefox + AdBlock plus & NoScript...you will never see another ad again...if you do you can add it to the list of things to block. :tongue.gif:

Also I believe I saw somewhere that Ad.fly's creators don't tolerate this sort of thing either and have been trying to stop it.

posted a message on I need something to build...
Try using water as a building feature (floating house, lots of waterfalls, etc.), and let your random thoughts guide you. For example on my first SMP server I played on I built sort of a classic fort thing, but a creeper blew a hole in the side of it...instead of repairing it I cleaned the hole up and made it a doorway into a new zen waterfall garden type room with a similar roof structure except with glass instead of open air. After that I built a 3 block deep moat to repel random creepers/griefers, then put a waterfall flowing out of every single gap in the forts upper bump things(don't know the technical term) and renamed it as my water temple.

Basically I usually build minimalisticly and efficiently until proper inspiration hits me...then I sort of black out and wake up in front of an awesome building a few hours later... >.>

I use a mix. Usually the first layer or two are cobble, and from there up is wood. I also make the outside posts from birch wood. And of course I use glass for windows. :smile.gif:

EDIT: Why is my member title showing up as "The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything...". o.O

Wonderful wonderful mod, If I have any complaint it's that I like having the outside corner posts of my house out of birch wood...which the Woodcutter then harvests. :sad.gif:

    Don't use mods.

If you must use mods, only use those that don't use this.

If you must use a mod that uses this, learn some basic programming and remove it from the mod yourself.

If you don't want to learn, try and find someone who can do it for you.

I'm not opposed to people wanting donations for their work, but putting things in the mods themselves is not something I would ever accept.
We get blasted with ads everywhere else in the world.
I draw the line at it invading my gaming.

Google "EA", "Train Simulator", and "forced ads" to see how EA backed down due to public outrage at their plans to include an ad system to the game that would track which billboard ads you looked at in-game, and display further ads based on that information.
If people hadn't caused such a stink, it would probably be in every EA game by now.

Maybe someone should start a thread with a list of Mods that don't use ads, so people can make an informed choice.

    Krush.

I believe he means the download link to the mods, not the mods themselves...if you're finding modders that do that then please link them so we can all find them and do a group lynching...

    posted a message on ◄ The Plague: Reborn™ ►
    Minecraft Username: Astiahl
    Age: 16
    Gender (Male/Female): Gerbi-...Male.
Country of Residence: United States of America

Your Character's Background (Roleplaying)(5 Sent. Min.): Years ago, Astiahl was nothing but a simple blacksmith's apprentice for a small coastal town. All was well and peaceful until one day a strange man in a peculiar silver and golden robe came to the town promising wealth and prosperity to all it's inhabitants, but asked something in return. That day he set before them a task, and that was to gather as much wood, cloth, and leather as possible before the year had passed. Sure enough, the small town gathered all the trees in the area and sheared what few sheep they had. As well as slaughtered what cattle they had for leather. Before the harvest season was over they presented this man with what they had gathered, the man was very pleased! With these materials he had the inhabitants build a boat, and took a small crew of able-bodied young men, promising the rest that he would return with their rewards soon enough.

Months passed with no sign of the strange man in gold, until one early morning an even larger ship came upon the horizon! It had appeared the man kept his word, and as such the peaceful, overjoyed inhabitants crowded along the shore to greet him...and soon ran, filled with panic and dread. As the ship pulled towards the shore a rain of fiery arrows assailed the town, setting it ablaze, along with any caught within the hail. As the ship anchored itself to the harbor, what seemed to be a small army of crude, vile, men dressed in leather and chain poured from it into the town. At the back of this hoard, the same man stood and watched with a wicked grin on his face...but this time he was not dressed in the seemingly benevolent robes. No, this time he was in a tunic and leggings of deep crimson, with a crown inset with various murky gemstones, and a white mask...

On the far side of town, on a cliff near a mineral rich cavern, a small smithy stirred, the smith and apprentice had been soundly sleeping.
"Wake up, Boy...I SAID WAKE UP YA LUMBERLESS WOLLOCK!" Bellowed a large, hairy man dressed in plate. "Blurh...Wha's goin' on? I thought it was m' day off?" A somewhat small, wiry young man replied sleepily.
"Now's not the time to be sleeping! Here take this, before you get run through!" said the smith, tossing a shield at the still sleepy apprentice. The shield connected with the apprentices head with a loud *THUNK*. "GAH, what was that for!? Owww...what's this for?" The Apprentice slowly rose to his feet, rubbing his head and picking up the shield. "Look, boy..." the Smith said with a grim look on his face, pointing to the town in flames. "Gather your things, or we'll both be dead by sunrise, I'll meet you by the old Birch tr--*SPLORTCH*" An archer had been sent ahead to scout, and managed to land an arrow in the Smith's neck. As the old, dead man fell to the ground, the shocked, panicking apprentice frantically scrambled for the Smith's helmet, seeing as he might need it, and sprinted to the forest, hoping to escape the raid.

Unfortunately, the archer was much faster than him, and overtook him. Tackling him, they both fell to the ground as the archer clawed at his face. "AIIEEE! GETOFFME!" The young man screamed as he brought the shield up and connected it to his assailant's face, knocking it to the side and flinging it's helmet off. With the helm removed, it's white, skeletal visage was all too apparent to the poor apprentice. Overcome with horror and free of his assailant, he ran north, his legs powered by a new strange feeling he'd never felt before...soul-consuming fear. Soon he'd shaken the skeletal horror, noticing he'd ran so far it was snowing...

(Wow...that's a big wall of text...how did I write that?)

An Image of your Character (as you imagine them): A somewhat average-height young man, in a grimy, white, fur-lined cloak. Colored in such a way to blend into the snow, as well as provide warmth. Nothing but his bright blue eyes can be seen past his hood.

Even when I minimize/maximize the window, it still continues to stay shrunk when I play maximized.

Try going into Options->video settings. There should be a button called "GUI scale" in the bottom left corner of the cluster.
