    Derp... I check those every time my server crashes, why did I not think to check for client crash >.<

    I have a strange bug... My client is running Forge 1.7.10-10.13.0.1187 and I was connected to my Cauldron server (running same version of forge and... well.. whatever version of Craftbukkit it had in it) in creative mode, clicked the "next set of tabs" button, and my client (but not server) crashed. Now the Forge profile will not start (successfully loaded my non-forge profiles though)

    Thoughts? Right now my only solution seems to be to delete the profile (and if needed the whole .minecraft directory) and reinstall forge...

    wow. 1 minute is too long for people these days? I weep...

    And you cant play on a forge server if you dont install the mods, it checks your game and if they're missing it will not let you join. (Though you can play on a bukkit server even with forge mods on your client --- a few even still have some functionality like SmartMoving will still let you climb iron rails and 3-tall-walls but not crawl)

    So looks at this point that it's close to 50-50 who will-wont use forge, with forge having a slight lead... anyone else what to weigh in? I'm still early enough in my server to change if I *have* to and would prefer it to actually be popular enough to get some players...

    Not gonna bug you about the Zelda-themed items since ZSS has filled that hole (just, please, keep your mod compatible with it if possible?), but...

    Another upvote for the chained blocks and keys, really liked that effect (and easy to replace with commands so dungeons are reset-able)

    Also, same request as last legend gear, if you add the star block, PLEASE make it where *something* will block it's light. Loved the idea of using it for effects like a glow around the dungeon's "big chest" or similar items, but dont want it shining through the whole dungeon (and giving away it's location to anyone wandering around outside)

    Looking forward to see what's added this time 'round :)

Can this mod do that or does anyone know of a similar mod that can work along with this one that will allow me to make custom loot containers?

    5. Is there a way to set an NPC to go away (despawn?) at night and then reappear in the morning? I'm hoping to have vendors that are only available during the day and perhaps one or two at night only.

    6. Is it possible to have lanterns or torches that require flint and steel to ignite and then burn out in a set amount of time? Perhaps 10 minutes or so? Also it would be great if you could hold the torch/lantern in the off-hand (shield hand) of the player while exploring the underworld, etc... I'm not sure if this is possible within the mod or if anyone might have advice on how to achieve it?
    (7) I have a guard that protects the entrance to a dungeon. Before you can enter the dungeon (there is a steel gate / iron bars) blocking the entrance, you must hand the guard a pass from the lord of the keep. Is there a way to have the player hand an item (the pass) to the guard who then can teleport the player to the other side of the iron bars / steel gate thus entering the player into the dungeon? Don't worry about getting out. Once you go in there is only one way out and it's not the way you went in! LOL


    1. not really, there are a few other mods that can do this, but the keys in CNPCs are just decorative (intended for quests) though you could have the palyer give the key to an NPC who walks over an "unlocks" the door then teleports the player to the other side

    2. I'm not sure, you may have to expariment, I've never seen a real source for this online, but I've not looked lately.

    3. use a command block and the "/tp @p x y z" command, door or portal is trickier though, you'll need another mod for that (or use a player censor block that as soon as they're directly atop it activates a command block to /tp them)

    4. Use a trapped chest and the /give command, set up a redstone clock before the chest is active again.

    I've been working on a server (massive RPG server) but I noticed when I was looking at the avalible servers that they were ALL Bukkit. I spoke to several server owners and basically what I'm toldis Forge has a bad rep for ID conflicts (though this was resolved in 1.7.x) I also know some people dont want to be beothered with the 2 extra steps to install forge and 2 steps to install mods...

    So my question is, if you were joining a server, would you play on a forge server with major mods (like CustomNPCs) or would you prefer a slightly mroe clunky but functional Bukkit server? (there is NO obligation to join here, purely asking opinions)

    looking for a survival forge/cauldron server with Custom NPCs and Mine and Blade, anything else is just gravy (though i'd prefer one WITHOUT buildcraft or similar 'industrialized' mods, computercraft is fine though) not specifically looking for pvp but also not against it. (really pretty open on what is there except for the 'no industry' and 'wanting CNPCs and M&B')

    1.7.10 preferred but will drop back to 1.6.4 if I need to.

    Not looking for staff position, just as a player.

    No, there is not, at least at the moment. I'm not quite sure how that would work, considering the only way to remove them (without other mods) is for the owner to use the domestic eggs and destroy the items.

    Well, a simple solution would be to make leveling up require a different item to taming a pet... (iirc you use the rod for both right now) Perhaps the option of a "training rod" and a "collar" and the collar is one-time-use? (love the option of letting the admin choose the "level-up item" though, gives a lot of amusing options)

    Really awesome mod! But... a small yet important questions...

    Is there a way to limit the number of pets a player can have (on a server) just testing I had over 40 pets... I dont want players to build a wolf army... x_x
