So I'll invite a few of you guys as long as you can be responsible, but PM me so we aren't hijacking SMX' thread please. And understand it's nowhere near as cool as his place was, unless you make it that way....

Man, that's why I was afraid to start a big project, just got a couple days off too! :( Guess I'll start my old Realm up again, but I hope he comes back, it was a pretty cool place.

    IGN: Arucard

    no skype

Reason: Haven't played since the combat update and feel like building again.

I had a Realm for a friend and I a while back and was mod/op on an old server I was on, I could help moderate if you need but I play at odd times and kind of sporadically. :P

Anyway, place looks cool, hope to check it out soon.

posted a message on Will textures ever be updated?

Well it's like you said, since we have so many texture packs, there's not much point. But it's also about recognition, biggest problem I have using tex packs is not knowing what I'm looking at, where even things I haven't seen before are recognizable with the default. The sore feelings people may or may not have to any changes would be last to consider, as almost anything can cause that (i.e. They updated it, now it sucks).

posted a message on tips for new minecraft players

Well mining is the best way to pass the night other than sleeping, unless your back is to the entrance right behind you or something. Since hostile mobs spawn in dark areas, the caves will likely spawn them regardless of time and when underground you generally don't need to worry about surface mobs.

    Anyway, I think I have a couple:

    - Find some coal before the first night, or get extra logs to smelt into charcoal.

    - Practice dash attacking creepers, the extra distance given usually will keep them from detonating immediately.

*for that matter, practice critical hits (swing after apex of your jump) on zombies too (because they're slow and weak)*

    - Always carry a crafting bench and water bucket, optionally a flint 'n' steel for portals (it sucks getting stuck in the nether) and setting mobs aflame.

*this is in addition to normal tools, weapons and food of course*

-If you find a village, keep clear during night until you can wall/fence it off, or you'll have a ghost zombie town on your hands.

    -Don't believe the hype

    -Don't take any wooden nickels

    -Stop texting so much already!!

Not sure if those last three will help much, but cheers!

Ok, starting today I'll be purging the list of anyone who hasn't gotten online, or at least is no longer showing in the player activity list. So the rest of you guys who have posted are now added.

It looks as if a lot of people are getting on for a minute or two and logging off. I assume this is due to lack of others being online, I'm sorry for that but I've been a lot more active in the last week (see below). I personally get on in the early morning (according to my time zone of East coast US) and play up to early afternoon.

I've also been focusing on creative mode in order to try and add some interesting stuff for everyone to see and hopefully be inspired by. I'm still interested in playing survival though, and if you ask I or my OP q0099 will gladly switch modes to play with you guys. I'm a task-focused miner/farmer while he tends to be an explorer/inventor, so take your pick or both if we're on together.

I've had some inspiration lately and am really happy with my newest addition; the First Order of the Brotherhood of the Block. It's just next to the eerily vacant Paru-Cardox Hotel, but be warned, strange things may lurk inside. Not sure how well you can hear, but the bell does toll everyday at sunup.

Next will come the obligatory graveyard, which may hold some secrets, then I'm planning a library, which may also hold some secrets. Anyway, new contestants, come on down!

Okay, everyone up to Ibex is added, the list is full atm, but anyone who doesn't get on for a certain time is automatically removed. So if more spots open I'll add you guys also.

Interesting, but I don't use Facebook, list is filling up quickly anyway though. Speaking of which, the last round of you guys is added, so come on down.

And let me know when somebody starts a town or makes a nice thing. I've got a couple teleporters around, but I haven't gone far so they aren't as useful. I'd like to make teleport shrines between spawn/hotel and towns or generated villages and other cool things. Also, check out the mob finder and welcome bot (with generic welcome atm) near the temple, as well as the powerful (read:cheating :D) time and weather machines inside the temple.

With all the threads on here, I wasn't sure there would even be any responses, I hope you guys will enjoy the world. Guess I need to hurry with the second story of the hotel...

Title of the idea- Golden Axe?

Description of the idea- I wanted to try to make something like this on my Realm. It's the old fable about a farmer or something dropping his crappy axe in a pond which happens to house some spirit. The spirit appears and asks if he dropped a gold or silver axe, to which he truthfully replies he did not and is granted both for his honesty. Yes, you've seen it in Link to the Past and other games.

As far as doing it in MC, maybe have the player throw a wooden/stone ax or sword (actual item doesn't really matter I guess) which is replaced with a better one. I'm not sure how to have a player answer the question other than spawning signs, buttons, item frames, etc. Or what to give them if they lie (coal?)

Anyway, I thought it would be cool, so there's my suggestion.

Way of communication- through this forum.

No, it's not too late, slots are about half full and I doubt everyone will ever be on at the same time. Drop in anytime!

Cool, sorry about the delay; work and all that :P

I'll put you guys on right now, so you should be good to go, any issues just let me know. Have fun!

OK, everybody's on there except "KieransHDGaming". pretty sure I spelled it correctly but it couldn't find your name. Double check your Minecraft name, capitalization and everything.

posted a message on New Realm Open, Co-Op/Non-PVP
Hello all, I've started a Realm for myself and a couple friends. After looking around I found the majority of people are interested in PVP servers, I've never liked competitive gaming and prefer to cooperate with other players. Whether that means trading, building or exploring together it's all good. Right now there are only four slots occupied and we tend to play a lot for a few weeks, then fall off for a while.

    Who is invited?

We are all adults, but I don't have any reason to deny anyone under 18, and there won't be chat full of swearing or vulgarity. Beginners to experts, casual to hardcore, if you're looking for a server you're welcome.

    Rules?

Basic common sense and respect is required. No stealing/griefing/abuse, if you've played Minecraft for more than a few days you should know these things.

There's not much on the map yet, but you should spawn outside a hotel I've built and you can claim a room right away if you like, they are furnished. Applications aren't necessary, just post here or message me directly. Hope to see you soon! =)

If anything it would make sense as an option, toggle left-hand mode. Might be funny if it just mirrored the image and flipped the whole world too.
