For everyone complaining about no change logs....
It was FUN before when there would be secret updates. Everyone would play and try to figure out what was changed. Do you guys remember the SECRET FRIDAY UPDATES? Those were all really fun. That was before we had an entire community that can just look in the .jar to see what has been changed.
But, for you who don't see the fun in this, there is a thing called the wiki that tells you what is in the snapshots.
It's fun when they do that in updates, but it just gets annoying when they do that with snapshots.
Snapshots are made so the community can try them out and report bugs, but how is anyone supposed to report a bug when the features are not told? It could be a bug or an update.

They're almost always the same so there is no much point in living in them.

Why would you like to join our community? I like Modded SMP more than Modded SSP and the server seems fun.
Have you read, and agree to all of our rules? Yes I have.
Do you know how to install the Hexxit Mod Pack? Yes I do.

I installed the mod of this for 1.7.3 and it works (height limit) but I can't find the EPIC mountains. Help please?

If you load a huge map and look at it in x-ray the caves look like sphagetti. I want to conquer a cave, and return to the entrance without getting lost and not get the best armor in game in 10 minutes.
When I play on a survival island I literally have to FIX the beaches because they're ugly. If I want to make a public swimming beach I got to flatten the area. IMO old style Gravel makes them look good, the new one makes them look bad. Switch your Texture Pack if you don't like the look of new gravel.
The good hills like in 1.7.3 don't exist anymore. Only ugly treeless turquise Extreme Hills. X-Hills aren't even hills. But yes, maybe I like to build a cool looking house on the top of an epic mountain with trees and take a look at it from the bottom.
I must ask: Have you ever played pre 1.8?

Old Generation is not what we want. We want every biome to have a chance of a bigger height to avoid boring flatness and add in variety and an aspect that will make players want to explore Minecraft worlds because they will know that there are epic things and not just flatness and boringness.
I agree but if it's floating in the air what will be on ground? It will look like a chunk error. (BTW Villages aren't biomes.)

Mods/plug-ins do not fix the Terrain Generation problem itself, and what if I don't want it on a server? What if I play SSP?

I agree that the oceans should be deeper, have more mobs and have corals (or even sponge at bottom) but longer? I found an ocean that is literally more than 6.5K longer just in a line! They should be way smaller and not realistic. Also need more cool islands and not just flatty ocean.
Agreed with the mountains one but also some things need to be fixed: Mountains for all biomes need to be implemented (what this thread is about.) and more height needs to be implemented because current mountains reach barely over 120 blocks. My record is 122. The height limit is however 256 so mountains should be at least 100 blocks higher.
Swamps: First of all: WITCHES! It's not possible to find one because she SUPER RARELY spawns in the Witch Hut. Second: Ever saw a swamp in Minecraft? I mean they are ugly, but ever WANTED to explore one? No? Not just because it's ugly but because it's FLAT. Swamps are literally super flat on ground and boring/ugly on water. So? Add epic mountains with swamps that spawn near swam----Wh--hhat? That's not realistic? Who says Minecraft is mean't to be realistic? Third: What you said - Fog! I think that there should be some Blindness 1 effect exept the ''blindness'' itself shouldn't be dark but foggy. Render Distances shouldn't affect this.
And biomes should be temperature-spawned, not an ocean near a desert near a taiga near a plain.
Variation...

Well that's kinda dissapointing...

You came here first saying that the idea is stupid without reading the OP. We're glad you're leaving.

Hopefully if they like the idea about all biomes having height variation they won't forget the Mushroom Islands/''Hills''.

It's not that small... It's only those vertical hilly beaches that make me throw up.
