Hey guys, anybody has a similar case and got it resolved? Here's the link.

We'd love to get a fix on this asap because we want to play Skyfactory together. That won't happen until this is fixed though.

posted a message on Need help with Resource packs

Hey, i recently installed John Smith Legacy and tried to use it. But every time i select it my FPS go down by 130 (!) even when using optifine.

I don't think it's my PC, if I can run GTA 5 on High resolution that is.

Is there anything I need to know? I haven't been playing for a while and probably missed something important.

    Thank you in advance.

UPDATE 1:// Seems like this is a JohnSmith Legacy problem. I use the 32x32 one (if 64x64 even exists) and just installed BackyardCraft 64x64 to see what happens. Turns out i get a stable 170 FPS there. Is there any optimized version of JohnSmith Legacy out there? Will google but maybe someone knows? :)

Make it work offline too, as in you can play it offline but still get ads (like maybe download an ad folder every time you connect to the internet)

And nobody would get the idea to delete the ads in the ad folder?

    > 2014-02-24 13:52:44 [INFO] [STDERR] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/logging/log4j/LogManager
Thats the important lines afaik. If i am correct (which i am not completely sure about), this core does not have a valid version in the code. Using another coremod or version of that coremod should fix it.

When coding, you add lines to declare which version of Minecraft it is. This line probably is missing, making your MC crash.
Another idea i had was, that you had no internet connection. Forge for example needs an internet connection on startup if you use the default launcher, and if you don't have one, it will crash because it can't download the neccessary files.

In the future this would be very realistic since even now we have flying trains. They are in japan and they hover a few inches off the floor. Although you may think that isnt much however in a few hundred years time we could have flying motorways and even flying houses that hover a few meters off the ground (maybe a small column holding it in place). This is possible with super strong magnets. The downside is, any metal object would fly up and through the roof...

They use magnets to hover. You would need a new material with a new magnetic system, because if you use magnets to lift stuff up for several metres, there will be a huge problem of people flying away too. :)

It looks nice, but there is one problem.
Considering gravity as it is this days, most buildings wouldn't work. They would collapse. If you could get them somehow to stay like they are, it would be awesome.

    1. No
    2. Yes
    3. Notch once told a person to download Minecraft as a cracked version, because the user had no money to buy the game. As far as i see this, it isn't illegal as long as the founder/leader of Mojang allows it to happen. If Notch/Jeb ever said that they don't want any more Minecraft cracks out on the web, it would become illegal.

Hello. I was wondering if you could make a skin out of this:

Although i already have such a skin, i would like a really GOOD one. The one i am using is kinda amateur-like, because i did it myself. There also are some skins of this on the web, but I don't like any of them :(
It would mean a lot to me :)

Please read my post and understand what I was contradicting before posting a rude and unneeded post directed at me.
What use does your friend have for 32GB of RAM? What is considered an "extremely good GFX card"? What are the rest of the system specs? This build could be incredibly unbalanced from that description.

Where did I insult your intelligence? Where did I post " Yay, Artjom95 hasn't responded so I am obviously superior"?
My information was straight, I simply contradicted what you said and proved that Alienware computers are not 90% brand and 10% hardware and that the pricing is more along the lines of 60% hardware and 40% brand like Babbaj stated above.
I am well aware of this fact, I built my computer to get a better value.
You stated that you can get a computer with the same specs as a 1500 pound Alienware for 300 pounds, which is completely false, a "decent computer" does not equate to a computer with the same specs. I am not attempting to defend Alienware and say that their computers are good for the money, I am well aware of how they are overpriced and you can get a better computer for the money however spreading lies about a company is unacceptable in my opinion.

"The same specs" does not equate to a "decent computer" for the same price, you claimed you could get the same specs for the same price and I contradicted this and proved your point incorrect, that was all.

If you have a problem with what i say, its your problem. Not mine.
    Get over it.

Prove it, and that's an 80% brand / 20% hardware split rather then the 90% brand / 10% hardware split you claimed above.

Alienware computers are not that overpriced, Babbaj was correct with his estimation of a 40% brand / 60% hardware price split. If I was to build a computer with the same specs as a $1500 ( Different currency I know ) Alienware desktop the parts would cost around $1000, the same goes for a computer in the UK, the Alienware desktop was 1598 pounds where the parts were just over 1000 pounds. Although you should not have to pay that extra premium for the brand and it is a considerable markup please do some research before posting false numbers.

Please do some research before YOU post man.
A friend of mine paid 1000€ and got a PC with extremely good GFX card, 32GB RAM, 1TB HD and some other stuff. 1k for an extremely good PC. Don't tell me that you could get a better PC for 1k bucks from any company, let alone Alienware. You get an Alienware PC at the pricing of 1000€ that has those specs (prices are in $ because i used the .com website rather than my countrys .at domain, but it should be around 1000€ i guess.)
    http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-aurora-r4/pd.aspx?~ck=anav

Lets say i get just the RAM my friend has, and the price would go up to 1900$ which is ~ 1400€

You seriosly think i am so stupid and let you get away with what you said? Get your information straight next time. A self built PC can have much higher specs than one from ANY company at the same cost.
And about the proof? I don't give away my connections that easy man. I can get an extreme built for less than 700€, and a decent one for 300€

Actually it's closer to 40% brand and 60% hardware

Nah. I can get the same specs for 300€, where an Alienware costs 1.5k€

"That's a terrible deal" doesn't do this justice. It is a horrible build for the price.

    Sadly thats true.
@OP: I would build my own PC. There is a user on Youtube called JackFrags, who built his own Gaming PC for around 358€ (480$). And it actually has higher specs than most PCs you get for around 1000€. Especially if you thought about buying an Alienware at some point, i would advice you to not do this. Alienware PCs are about 90% brand name and 10% actual Hardware.
