    Correction to previous note about getting servers going.
    I just finished setting up a new server with a lot of help from Mesopoles.
    Thanks a ton dude!

    If you are trying to set up a server, please just remove the following mods:
    '[1.5.2]Reiminimap_v3.3_06.zip': This is a client-side-only mod, and still works great on the clients.
    '[1.5.2]bspkrsCorev2.04.zip': This seems to be the root of the problem.
    '[1.5.2]StartingInventory.ML.1.5.2.r01.zip': requires 'bspkrsCorev'
    '[1.5.2]TreeCapitator.Forge.1.5.2.r01.Uni.CoreMod.zip': requires 'bspkrsCorev' - this is in the "coremods" folder.
    'mod_moreEverything.2.74.zip': is not supported by Java 8 yet. Might still work if you are on Java 7.

    'Millenare' and the other mods I listed earlier are actualy working fine for me.

    Xycarft: Tanks were causing lag on servers earlier. Don't know if it's been fixed yet though.

    Railcraft: Adds some nifty new stuff, but can't see what you can do with it that you can't do with regular minecarts.
    Besides, it makes crafting rails a lot more difficult. I've been checking it out but am still undecided about this one.

    Optifine: No. The mod's author does not grant permissino to be in packs.

    I'm having this exact same problem and fankly it's a game breaker for me. :/ My computer has decent specs and on 1.2.5 I was running AMCO and a bunch of other mods, totaling at 71 with no problem. I hope this gets addressed and fixed(if possible).
    Lots of the start up lag is caused by mods trying to go out to the internet to see if there is an update for themselves available.
    I wish I could disable that for them all, but most don't have the option.

    Copper and Tin are added by 3 different mods, but can be used interchangeably.
    When/if I get the time I was planning to edit the names/and textures.
    That way there would look like there are new ores, like "Birsmuth" or "Antimony", but they would function the same.
    You can combine them all by making them into blocks. Uncrafting the blocks will yield only one kind of copper or tin.

    I don't think the author grants permission.
    Besides, 'Minepainter' is much better in my opinion.
    Craft chizels with diamond, iron, or cobble on a stick. They carve out sheets, rows, or individula pixels.
    You can maniulate almost any vanilla block however you like that way.
    You can also craft canvis and paints to make whatever picture you like as well.

    Sorry to be gone so long.
    Thanks to everyone who has been writing in trying to get others going.

    There are indeed several mods that do not work well with servers.

    Here are the ones that had to be removed from the server I play to get it to work:
    'Millenare'
    'ChargePads'
    'ObsidiPlates'
    'Dimensional Doors'
    'More Everything'
    'Flat Signs'
    'InfiniBows'

    And I botched the install of several other mods too.

    I will update, delete, or otherwise fix all that stuff in the next revision.

    AMCO for 1.5.2 has just been updated to Revsion 2!

    About 20 more mods have been added, mostly from player feedback.
    I'm really excited about all the mods people have been reccomending:
    Dragon Mounts tops the list. That's right your own dragon you can fly around on. Totally awesome.
    Advanced Buildcraft Objects is very nice for streamlining machienes.
    Power Converters also helps bring the tech side together.

    And, I'm pumped up about the mod updates that are in this revision as well:
    Dungeon Mobs is back. It adds lots of D&D like monsters. Don't feed the trolls. :)
    Neather Ores is really great because the Neather can be so bland without it.
    Portal Gun is also updated to 1.5.2, a long-standing favorite of many. Welcome back.
    HD Texture Fix and my own Custom Colorizer are back in full force too.

    And tons of other great stuff.

    Wow!

    This is exactly what my modpack needs to wrap up some loose ends:
    • How to craft fire
    • How to craft more dragon eggs
    • How to get sponge blocks back into the game
    • What to do with all that rotten flesh
    Thanks a ton for making this Grom, and doubble thanks for allowing it in the AMCO modpack.

    Greetings.

    Just a quick note to let people know I've started Revison 2.
    Rev 2 will be about trying to add mods that people in the forum have been suggesting.
    Thanks to everyone who's sent in links to mods they'd like to see added.
    Extore and CoolAid have been especially helpful, so special thanks to them.
    I'll be looking at all those links as top priority for this build.
    One difficulty I'm having is getting permission for mods that are not in the Minecraft Forums.
    It is hard to reach some authors without having to sign up for every mod sight on the net.

    I'm also anxious to add MCpatcher and Optifine support, along with my special color tweeks.
    Those items take the most time, so they are lower on my to-do list.

    Some friends and I have a pretty nice starting world set up now.
    I've also invested in a new system I can use as a server.
    I'm trying to figure out a fair way to invite "good" players to join without opening it up to the whole world and/or greavers.
    Ant at the same time not ing off the whole world for not inviting absolutely everyone.
    10-20 players would be great, over 30 would be too many.
    One idea is to charge a small fee to join, which would tent to attract more serious players.
    Another idea is to have some kind of application process: send in examples of your best builts sort of thing...
    Suggestions?

    Sorry but that error report did not contain any helpfull informaiton for me.
    Please post your "ForgeModLoader-client-0.log" file found in your .minecraft folder.

    Enhanced portals works just fine on servers.
    I was playing around with it earlier because 'Portal Gun' has not been updated yet.
    'Enchanted Portals' is a great alternative, actually better in some ways because you can have more 2-way portals.
    You'll have to give your controllers "Dimensional" upgrades before you'll be able to give them unique channels though.
    The mod's spotlight video covers all the features pretty well.
    You can find a link to it in the "Credits and Content" section on AMCO's front page.

    I don't have much time to fiddle with mods I am not allowed to use.
    But, if you want to try them out and send me the resulting error reports I'll have a look at them.

    Optifine should work with Rev1, but I have not tested it myself yet.
    Install Optifine after AMCO.

    Coolaid,
    I did not have time to include MCpatcher, which fixes problems with HD textures.
    I also had to leave out my custom colorizer for Rev1.
    I'll be working on that stuff this week.
    Look for both of those mods, along with many others people have been suggesting, in Rev2.

    Post your error log please Mason.

    After following the install instructions I was able to confirm the latest version works on another (separate) test system I have running:
    • rename .minecraft folder to minecraft_old and get fresh copy of the game
    • Download a fresh copy of AMCO 1.5.2 Rev 1 from MediaFire
    • Extract "toJar" folder to minecraft.jar
    • Extract "toRoot" folder to the fresh to the .minecraft folder
    • Start game, make new world, and play!
    Not sure what could be wrong with your setup without an error log.

    AMCO has been updated for 1.5.2!

    A few things missing, like 'Portal Gun'
    And a few awesome new mods added, like:
    'Pet Bat' - tame 'em with pumkin pie.
    'Hats' - a few mobs wear silly hats. Kill and take.
    'Better Dungeons' - back in the mix. Caused some trouble last time, so keep an eye out for this one.
    and a few others.

    Next update will be about trying to fit all the suggestions for new mods in.
    Keep those (linked) requests comming.

    Sorry for the delay everyone, I had visitors this weekend.
    I hope to get something out today.

    'Thermal Expansion' will be included.
    I will be contactin the author of 'Dimensional Doors' to ask permission, along with most of the other requested mods.
    (Including links always helps speed up the process).
    'Wireless Redstone' was not updated last time I checked, but I'll have another look.
    'Logistics Pipes' and other 'BuildCraft' addons will most likely be included in Rev 2.
    'Biomes O Plenty' and other mods that add more biomes tend to cause problems with other mods.
    Dr. Zark does not grant permission to include 'Mo Creaturess' in modpacks.
    I had permission at one time, but he has repealed it. Don't know why. Gotta respect though.

    Ok,
    I have everything I'd like to include for Rev1 of 1.5.2 running now.
    Just a few more finishing touches, like adding the custom colorizor and making MCpatcher and Optifine compatible versions.
    Probably be available tomarrow (those last few steps take a ton of time.)
    If you are having trouble with 1.5.1, just hang tight till then.
