Jul 21, 2011Arnar105 posted a message on Notch Reveals Leveling and PermadeathNotch said that he didn't want the leveling system to be like in WoW, or Runescape. He wants to make leveling FUN. Hes even still working on the leveling system, just to make it good for the Minecraft experience. About the hunger... It just had to come people, its a survival mode. And have you forgot that hes adding creative mode to? It will probably take or disable the hunger bar, and if not, then you can just spawn 64 chickens with spc, or some mod.Posted in: News

Full Name: Dyskel Guay
Current Age: 22
Sub-race (if any): Normal human
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Dyskel was born and raised in the town of Westport, a town in the far west of the Oren empire. Her mother worked as a maid for a local noble, and wasn't home for most of the time. His father, Ymir Guay, was a baker for the most of his life and took care of Dyskel. Dyskel always considered him a coward and a fool. The reason was because even when his honor was being trampled on, he never stood up and faced his problems. He never fought back for anything that was his. People spat on him and kicked him for being a coward but he never made the first move. Dyskel was sure that he was never going to be like his father, and going to be a proud warrior of the Oren empire. He trained a lot in his free time, and became pretty good with a sword, but without proper training, he always got stuck at a certain barrier. His eyes dazzled when the knights of the empire went through the town, and always knew that he was certainly going to become a knight one day.
Many years continued of this, where his father always let other people walk over him. He continued his training in the evenings and in the mornings, and sometimes even in the nights. There was a time when he fell in love, at the age of 17, with the local noble girl. The girl never noticed him, and he though that it was completely one sided. But one day, when he was walking to the nobles house with bread for them, he noticed that she was looking at him from the balcony of her room. This was the first time she even looked at him, and he noticed that she was even faintly smiling. This gave him the courage to visit her. He didn't come through the door but came in the back and climbed a tree near her window. She rarely left the house, and had silky long red hair. She had freckles on her face and had the most beautiful blue eyes he had ever seen. She always seemed sick, so he told her stories of brave knights slaying dragons and trolls. He made up stories while he was training and when he was about to sleep. His love only grew by the day, and he tried to visit her every day. He noticed that she was getting paler and that she didn't meet him sometimes. One day she stopped completely answering him. The only one who knew that he was visiting was her personal maid, and after two weeks of no replies, she told him that she had died from a bad illness. Dyskel was heartbroken and couldn't sleep for two days afterwards, but fainted the third day because of exhaustion.
A few years pass and he is 22 years old now and his father is bedridden with a bad disease. The doctor said that it was curable, and if he didn't get the medicine for the sickness, he would surely die within the month. The medicine was way to expensive to be bought by a measly baker family. When Dyskel heard of this he was sure that his father was going to ask him of taking over the family business. To his surprise, when he came by his side the first thing his father said to him was: "I know that you don't want to take over the bakery.. I don't know what you want to be, but please, follow your path.. I am not going to do to you what my father did to me".
This was the moment when he knew that nothing was in his way to becoming a knight. He hugged his father for the last time and ran out of the room. He got his things and headed straight out of the town and aimed for Arethor.
Ambitions for the Future: Becoming a knight of Arethor
Personality: He's hot headed, but patient for everything, as many years of bakery have taught him. He's a good talker and when he starts he can go on for hours. He's also very slow to figure out anything, and lacks a big chunk of common sense.
Skills: He's good with a sword, a good baker, good runner and a smooth talker.
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): He has dark hair and brown eyes, he wears black clothing and a small brown cape.
Any other details you wish to share about your character: Not really
1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?
Answer: He jogs up to the man and lightly places his hand on his right shoulder and says: "Sir, why are you sneaking around the palace like that? It seems like you are up to no good, you should be careful!" and smiles lightly at the man, obviously confused. The man tries to shrug him off, but he doesn't let go of his shoulder. "Sir, I'm telling you to be careful! There are a lot of thieves and bandits in the city!". The man nods slightly and looks worried and says: "Look, I don't have time for some poor peasants, let me go you imbecile". Dyskel tightens his grip around his shoulder and says: "Sir, you know you are being rude to a stranger, I'm just trying to help!" now he is starting to higher his voice, and the nearby guards can hear the conversation. The shady man says: "Be quiet you fool, don't be so loud! Here, I'll give you 200 Minas if you just shut up". Dyskel:" I don't want your damn money, I want your apology!". The man throws a punch at Dyskel and it hits him straight in the face, giving him bloody noses. Dyskel hardens his grip even more and punches the man with all his might, probably almost two times the force the other man did, and knocks him out cold. The guards notice and run towards the fight, and arrest both of them. They both spend the night in a cell, and Dyskel thinks to himself: "I really should try to figure out my anger issues.."
2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armor and an iron longsword, how do you react?
Answer: He safely figures out a plan that would benefit both him and the old looking man. He plans out a safe route within the forest to hide in a hurry and quickly starts the next part of his plan. He tries to approach the men from behind, making as little sound as he can. Of course because they are two the notice him straight away, and when they do he starts running (not charging) at them to get a good distance between the old and and them. Because they are two, he tries to get them to follow him, and since they are also heavy armored and definitely slower then him, he gets them to follow him into the forest, where he tries to ambush them from locations where they least expect them. He manages to take them out by ambushing them time and time again, since he has a lot more mobility then both of them put together. He doesn't get out of though without scratches, but his left arm is mortally wounded. He goes back to the old man and only asks for bandages and a place to stay.
3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).
Answer: He notices some old and used shoulder pads that could be off good use to him. Dyskel has never been good with money, and always pays either way to much or way to little, and is a terrible haggler. He first sets the price at measly 10 Minas. The old man seems unhappy and asks for at least 150 minas. Dyskel accepts right away and is happy with the purchase, even though it was a pit overpriced for some old shoulder pads. He also sees an old cape that is in a pretty good condition. He looks worried on what he should ask for the cape, but says that he wants the cape for 100 Minas. The old man looks troubled and says he wants at least 120 minas for the cape. Dyskel accepts that offer right away too, and looks relieved. He hates haggling, especially without a set price.

And we don't have any mods, so no dual wield, Turnonthelight.

On an other note, are you looking into being in a private server? Like just you 2? I don't think someone is going through the problem of making a server just for you too to play in. Just go on the forums here and look for survival servers? No need to start a new one just for you. And If you like Rping then you can try this out http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/818787-crafthammer-serious-rp-pre-whitelist-open/

We have a very unique system that you will be able to use to become one of the higher races in Territhion. I am not going to tell you anything more about it, as its all about finding about it your self.

I am really like your posts here. People will be able to start there own towns, BUT it costs in-game money. You also need a permission from an admin (We are about 7 admins on the server). The thing with houses, WE didn't want to give to much freedom in that. The reason being that some people build TERRIBLE houses. We have a lot of houses that we sell, and almost 1 capital city for each race(with houses in it for sale). And about the god NPC's, no. We will play some mature roles, like a old man giving quests etc. And you may have read that players WILL be able to become kings/queens. We are watching this topic and reading your comments, so feel free to ask.

Yes, there are moderators, but there doesn't seem to be any rules about posting VERY useless posts. I usually read a lot in the modding session, and I hope something will be done.
