For anyone following the MoreEnchants development... Major rewrite is still in progress, and we're still looking at an update in the next few days. The codebase is almost unrecognizable from 1.3, hence the long time frame. Just a quick update to let everyone know.

Glad to get updates, will the completely different codebase mean that we shouldn't load it up on a 1.3 world? Also, are the charms still going to be there? because I like them.
Also, a question about the charms in 1.3, do they stack effects? Like, if I have two sharpness charms in my inventory, will my sword act like it has sharpness II?

A new mob idea for the roofed forest- Splinters: A blaze's splintery cousin that is found in an ancient tree located in the deep roofed forest.

ATTACKS: shoots sticks and opens his mouth to warn you not to get close to him,can put up barriers to block arrows sometimes.

DROPS: splinter claws used to make a staff or a clawed melee weapon based on what you are.

ThermalExpansion already does something pretty similer to this, in terms of the elemental blazes, and generally, the overworld versions of a nether mob should be a bit LESS scary...

PS: There will be better textures, right? Because I believe that the main reason why people didn't like CreepTech was because of its textures. Remember, don't judge a book by its cover!

Actually, the only thing that really bugged me about creeptech was simply how annoying the Quantum invasion sounded.Everything else was fine. Guess that's just me though.

The creeptech textures look a heck of a lot better than anything out of thermal expansion has ever looked, albeit a tad off from minecraft's own texture design.

Concept is fun, tho you should add a few more uses for these. Like, golden rails that instead of boosting the minecarts slow them down, or even revert their direction.

Not sure how I'd go about doing this, but a new update is coming once I finally get MCreator to behave, that will include Fool's Gold Nuggets and a pretty neat use for them.

I used to play a lot of Maplestory (Ran out of things to do when I reached the level cap, even though it's now higher than it was, there's still nothing to do, actually a few levels before that really...) but the Gaurdian is a monster that I would absolutely love to see in minecraft, and I agree that maplestory has some sweet monster designs, but Mowsie kind-of has said that he won't be adding direct copies of other things, and it's a bit too similar to the wroughtnaught. But a slightly more spectral version that's a little more different would be great!

People! BIG progress in the last few days, and the 1.3 update is nearly here!

It's a big update, with 10 new awesome pets, improvements to existing pets, and a bunch of new features (and a truckful of bug fixes). We're just going to put this one here and see if you can guess what it does...

Eatable pets? Bananarang like in terraria? Just plain looking awesome?

    Quote from Dee_Twenty»

Not that I have a particular investment in the debate, but why not sun and moon pets? They'd fit in fine with the black hole and cloud pets, give the moon pet the ability to grant you invisibility at night and reduce gravity and the sun pet the ability to see invisible entities and an aura that sets zombies and skeletons on fire.

This is actually pretty good. Be even cooler if the moon pet turned you into a warewolf or something, but I don't really think that's worth the effort it would take.

We're in spaaaaaaace... An inventory embiggenment is one of the hardest things for a forge mod to do, space doesn't really fit with the mod the...

    Quote from jasonelderid»

LOL OMG. I just wanna know if yall that are crying op op opness, way to op and such...Yall realize that just adding a mod already makes your game op...unless it actually makes it harder? So technically its already oped...hell having an inventory pet that does say crafting table is already actually op. Just wanted to point that out to yall...cuse yall starting to sound like a bunch of chickens going cluck cluck, but instead your going op op. Everyone has a right to an opinion and such...dont need to be so mean.

That being said, there is a pet already that speeds you up. Invisibility sounds nice.

@PC, I see you have crafting disables, but nothing to disable the pets you dont want allowed in game. Could you possibly add that? This way if someone feels a pet is too oped, they could just disable it.

For the time being tho, yall COULD adjust this mod to spawn in dungeons more or less often to make it easyer or harder to find. You could also disable certain dungeons so that finding them is harder...in the end at least it would be much harder to get, and more rewarding once you find it.

But really...dont need to shoot peoples ideas down so hard and make them feel like crap for suggesting. And while yes, there is an invisibility potion, but theres also a potion for speed, underwater breathing, night vision, ect. If yall dont like an idea such as abilities that come with pets that can also be potions...then just use the mod. All the mod does is offer a different way of using these abilities and such. Dont got to be so mean to someone cuse they have other idea.

Whoa. It's okay for me to think something's overpowered. Everyone has the right to an opinion and such... You don't need to be so mean.

If you really think that all mods are overpowered, I'm surprised you're even on a mods forum at all. Game balance means a huge amount to a mod, unless it's poorly designed or some kind of hack client. The crafting table inventory pet, if you had looked at it before calling it overpowered, is in no way overpowered. It's easy to carry around a crafting table and place it down, use it, and pick it up again. The crafting table pet, slightly speeds up this process, requiring regular feeding and both gold and diamond to craft, or found in fairly rare dungeons. Either way you get it, the crafting table pet may not even be an improvement over the vannilla crafting table. Your point is just plain silly, and clearly shows you have no idea what you are talking about, beyond being antagonistic to people with an actual intrest in the mod's progression toward more usable releases. Potentially permanent invisiblity is a lot more difficult to balance, as we can immagine what this thing could do to pvp. I'm not saying that an invisibility pet can't happen, but between the lack of a clear mob for it to represent, and the sheer power it can hold, it's beyond the realm of the balanced. Unless it has particles like an invisibility potion. Then it's pretty much useless. Your nasty approach to keeping people from working to improve the mod is frankly sad, and you seriously need to touch up on your trolling skills if you want to actually annoy people with this sort of thing. It was a good attempt, the chicken analogy helped you out a lot, definately keep with that if you want to keep messing with people, but ultimately, this whole section of your post is aggressory and holds no merit. Go abuse 4chan or something. And as for other people who want to anger people with senseless comments, just don't. Seriously. It's that easy. I'm glad that this is over with, and hope sincerely that the rest of this forum can be polite and topical without this sort of thing interrupting it. Good day.

I respect your opinion on the villagers, but saying I'm racist? Dude, you think there is someone in the world that looks like squidward? Not the big nose, but the overall appearance of the face. You react to comments rudely as if you are the boss of everything. Respect other's opinions, and also, already watched all element animation villager videos a long time ago. <_<

Okay, yeah. I kind of went just a bit too far with that... I'm sure there's someone somewhere who looks something like that, but I've certainly never met them. I am the boss of everything, and I like it that way. I do somewhat regret the way that comment came off, but I'm very tired of the constant hate for the villigers, who I'm personally very fond of. I do respect the opinions of others, but I also don't necicerily agree with them.

Element Animation makes them funny, I know.

    1. Maybe offering them treasure for sure.

    4. No, they will still keep out any hostile creatures, even creepers which Iron golems do not attack.

    What is a tribble?

Tribbles are a creature from Star Trek that look like tiny balls of fur, about 1.5 inches tall, 5 inches long, and 3 wide. They are cute, and entirely harmless, however they are born pregnant and reproduce at such a rate that having one on your space ship can quickly turn into an infestation, and there will be no room for YOU on your ship. Eventually, there's too much built up pressure, and your spaceship explodes, and everybody dies. Fun, huh?

    Quote from Snowviraptor»

Any chance of something based on tribbles?

On the surface, this seems like a great idea, however, the lag from having even 40 or so of the things? Fairly heavy. Immagine what happens if you ignore them. I can't actually support this simply because of the lag. One thing I have done on my server, using a plugin, I made a peice of pink dye named "Tribble" that once put into your inventory spawns more of itself in your inventory. I reccommend sticking to something like this if you want tribbles. They're just not mob material....

    Desert?

I'm inclined to go with what frog suggested. Hell biomes.

I want the tribal hunters to be more social than the testificates...Or those abominations when Notch mixed the DNA of Squidward and a human.

    Tribal Hunter ideas:

    1. It will be hostile when it's the first time they saw a player.

    2. They have stalking animation.

    3. They have skinny models adorned with body art.

    4. They guard tribes in the night.

    5. Trying to hit it using an arrow will cause it to use the shield and block the arrow.

What is everyone's problem with testificates? They're flipping amazing and I'm totally sick of mods that try to replace them with humans and junk. Testificates are wonderful, and if you disagree, you clearly haven't watched enough element animation yet. If you think that a spongebob reference makes making fun of the way a type of people looks okay, then you are both wrong and racist.

    1. No. How the heck would you befriend it then? If they're just hostile, there's no point in even making them villagery, and if they're not then it would take some serious AI weirdness to befriend them. Offering them a skull/head of an animal/mob/player maybe? :\
    2. vauge much?

    3. vauge much?

    4. Okay, what about the day? Do they just let burning zombies walk in?
    5. Who said anything about a shield?

(remember, i'm not rushing you, therse are just ideas, you can have all the time you want.)

I'm mostly an unbeliever here, but a nether wroughnaught with a sort-of nether brick-like texture could be very cool. Problem is, there's nowhere good in the nether for it to spawn except fortresses, where it would look kind-of dumb in contrast. Jungle & Desert forms I don't really support, since we've already got Foliaaths for those areas, and I don't really feel a need for biome specific ones, although one with a sorta beat-up and mossy texture could also be cool.

I'd reccomend allowing players to use it as a king of "lower-tier" gold with a little higher mining speed than stone and a REALLY low durability.

Unless, of course, this mod is literally just for the irony.

Either way, a cool idea! Could be used for a vanilla-esque modpack.

I'm kind of planning on adding more uses for it, but I want it to be mostly useless, since gold isn't worth much in minecraft anyways, and it's pretty hard to make a worse version of it. Since I've gotten this far, I am at this point planning another update, that will include nuggets and a use for them. I may do something like this afterward.
Even like that, it could still be just for Irony...
Thanks, and I'm glad you're actually considering it for a modpack. It's ahead of my other mod already!

That's a pretty good question, and I don't have a coherent answer to it. So here's a very much not coherent one instead: Gorrila, lawnmower... Totalitarian pineapple?
And I agree, although I only thought of that after making the apple. Plus, now all of my friends are trying to figure out which one of them I was talking about, and that's possibly more entertaining.
