That's my problem right now, it's a great game but I've done everything many times. I want to use enchants but it makes the game too easy, so I'm deciding to stay no-armor but enchant my weapons. When the game is challenging it makes it feel Minecrafty again.

Agreed. The enchants and potions bother me not because they "change the feel" but because they effectively turn the player into a minor deity.

The only other real complaint I have is with having loot in NPC villages; I should not be finding a half-dozen diamonds five minutes into the game.

To be honest, I dunno. I just respond as I see it.

'Sides, since this is clearly a thread designed to be intentionally funny, but doesn't really do a good job in the "funny" department, I have to get my laughs from SOMEWHERE. So when a raging fanboy presents himself...

same.I love minecraft as it is right now.I have liked every new feature jeb and notch have added.
Jeb listens to the community and adds new good features.I can not understand why people make these "complaining threads"
minecraft is good as it is right now.
    nuff said.

So... you're against mods that add features that don't fit your view of Minecraft, yet you're all for official content that adds effectively the same thing?

Because that's what a large portion of the 1.8-1.0 content has been. We've gotten villages full of NPCs, abandoned ruins, magic potions, enchanted weaponry, even a portal to a classic fantasy RPG final boss.

Note: I'm not against any of these things, but the logic of "Millenaire and RPG mods ruin minecraft, but the official content doing effectively the same thing is A-OK" really confuses me.

You want new content to be added, but you don't want things to change.

    Solution: stop wanting the impossible.

That argument is quite possibly the most laughable one I've seen in regards to this topic.

There's a difference between "wanting new things, but not wanting anything to change" and "wanting new things without abandoning the old ones." The former is indeed impossible, but nobody even remotely suggested it.

I can understand where the OP is coming from; as a builder of large structures, it's incredibly frustrating being forced to choose between the hours of work that I REALLY don't want to lose, and the new content that I REALLY want to have access to.

    What's funny is,
nobody would compare Minecraft and Skyrim, if Mojang hadn't gotten into that legal dispute.

I would. Because even without the legal dispute, one can draw plenty of parallels.

Open world, no requirement to play the "story", freedom to do whatever the hell you want, very moddable, thriving community... not to mention the "final boss" for both games is a (laughably easy to kill) giant black dragon fought in a strange alternate dimension.

Back on topic, though, I have gotten the "this isn't the same game anymore" feeling before. I had it as recently as update 1.0, as a matter of fact.

Nothing but praise for 1.1, though, it feels like a return to form in my opinion.

Dude, shut the hell up. Before you start talking about these things, you need to know what you're talking about. Battlefield is so much better than any CoD game. Get your head straight. And again, before you start talking about these things, you need to know what you're talking about

    Umad, bro?

If the guy doesn't like them, then he doesn't like them. Whether BF is good or not is an opinion, not a fact. And before you go off on me for "not knowing what I'm talking about," I have played both BF and CoD. And to be blunt, I found getting a root canal to be an infinitely preferable experience to either of them.

Does it still run through Steam? If so, just switch Steam to offline mode before you leave.

If your looking for something a bit different though, Gunz the duel might be something worth checking out if your into the whole "Samurai Gunner" kinda scene. However its not really friendly towards newbies.

Understatement of the century there, dude.

More on-topic, though, TF2's a good one as long as you make sure to join a decent server. It's kinda like Minecraft in that regard; great fun so long as you avoid the obnoxious noobs and griefers.

posted a message on Is MW3 Really that good?

Just wondering but how many of the people posting actually have the game? This isn't an insult at all the people who dislike it, it's just to find out if peopel have actually tried it and not written it off in five minutes.

I don't own it, but I borrowed a 360 copy from a friend. I was generous, gave it two hours of playtime, then decided "**** it, this is MW2 with different maps" and went back to the Holy Relic that is Skyrim.

He's referring to Steam's digital-copy prevention and anti-piracy methods, mostly, not so much the actually installation or downloading.

If the anti-piracy's the issue, then one should complain about the anti-piracy, NOT how much of a hassle getting the game is for a slow-connection user. Because, at least to me, that whole post came across as "my internet sucks and Skyrim downloads slow if you buy it on Steam!"

As for anti-piracy, I really don't see how Steam is so bad. It's non-intrusive (Unlike Origin), it does NOT require constant internet (unlike Ubisoft), and it makes owning and maintaining an extensive games library a HELL of a lot easier.

If somebody would care to explain what the issue with it is, I'd appreciate it. I can't even try to understand your argument if I don't know what your problem is. Though, if your reason is "it's DRM and I hate DRM," don't bother replying, because TBH it's not even worth my time to argue against THAT kind of logic.

but most of the quests had a better plotline/ more depth than the skyrim brotherhood quests

The actual story quests were pretty well-developed (meaning the ones having to do with the traitor and all that stuff), but most of the early quests weren't that well-developed in terms of plot. "Go kill this pirate, 'cuz he's a pirate." "Go kill this crackhead, 'cuz he's a crackhead." "Go kill this warlord, 'cuz he's an asshole."

Really, though, regardless of that, one should keep in mind that they're side quests. They're not there to advance the story, they're just there to give you something to do to earn a little gold and maybe do some leveling.

Besides, that one with the Orc Bard in Morthal is funny as ****.

Not only illiterate but stupid with it. NOWADAYS a decent internet connection speed may be standard for some but not for all. There are unfortunates who live in country areas with slow connections. It takes my connection 30+min to download the game to play and that is in spite of having a computer with an i7 CPU and 6Gb DDR3 memory etc.,. Steam sucks and should be forced to allow people who pay good money to play the game without recourse to their idiotic method of copy protection. After all why should I be denied the right to play the game unhindered because manufacturers are paranoid about somebody pirating it. If I could find a method, legal or illegal, of getting round Steam I would do so. Since I have paid for the game I cannot see that as illegal or pirating. Get real. Steam is rubbish.

If you have **** internet and you know it, buy it retail. Basic logic.

And before anybody says "Well you still need steam" I KNOW you do. I HAVE Skyrim. But buying retail means it installs off the disk rather than using the internet connection to DL the files from elsewhere; took me maybe ten minutes, and I was not anywhere near a reasonable internet connection at the time (I was at my grandparents slow-as-**** 100kb/s max)

The point remains, if you don't have what you need to handle it, that's not their fault. Complaining about slow internet impeding your digital downloads is like complaining about not being able to install a retail CD because you don't have a CD drive in your computer. Problems caused by a lack of something on the client's side are, by default, the client's problems.
