Why do you want to join the server: First time looking to play on a server. Just looking to play on a fresh, plain Vanilla server. I hope you guys let me in.

What can you bring to the server: I enjoy doing mining and tunneling work with making the path and area as clean as possible. I for some reason as well enjoy making overly large farms and having an abundance of food available. As if I'm afraid of dying.

Are you willing to voice chat with other players?: If necessary I could use voice chat, but I don't always have my microphone available (I have a desktop and laptop I play Minecraft on).

Are you able to donate to our server if you enjoy in?: If it's a friendly, reliable, and place I'm interested in I would be willing to donate a little towards the server.

posted a message on Reviewers can, have, and will lower Minecraft's score if Notch does not add this soon.
I'm not a fan of Tutorials at all. Back during early Alpha the blocks didn't even have indicators of what the block was. When I first started had the biggest noob moment. I couldn't figure out how to break blocks. I thought the game wasn't working with my computer. I was clicking continuously to try breaking blocks instead of holding down the mouse. I did watch a YouTube video on someone's Let's Play but that just showed me how to build the first basic tools and a Work Bench. I used the Wiki from that point and found out what all I could do to survive.

The thing people need to understand now is that Minecraft is found out through Word-Of-Mouth. Most people don't hear Minecraft just by surfing the internet. They know someone that plays it. If by other Forum Boards, Co-Workers, friends, etc. They will give you hints and information on how to play. Or where to go to know how to play.

My personal opinion is, when I first start playing a game I want to learn at my own pace. Show me the basics and I'll go from there. We shouldn't need a fully written out instruction guide on how to play the game. Learn by reading and through looking at everything on the screen. Minecraft isn't so complicated that we can't figure out the basics. More advanced crafting and tools may require some type of Recipe Book, but never a tutorial.

posted a message on Minecraft has gotten boring?
Just like everyone, you'll eventually get tired of doing the same thing over and over. I recently was beginning to get an itch to adventure and start doing new things. The biggest thing I recommend to anyone who's beginning to get tired with Minecraft is to play Vech's Super Hostile Series. And if you feel it's still too easy play it on Hard. With the 1.9 Pre 5 update it's no simple task getting through those levels.

You can always check out the popular Let's Play Minecraft Series on Youtube and look for new interesting ideas. As someone mentioned before, join a Public Server and look at the new things people make. Broaden your horizons for new ideas. Your imagination will take it the rest of the way.

posted a message on Massive Graveyard project for Hollow's Eve, Can you do better?
I really like the Graveyard setup you have there. My suggestions include a catacomb/crypt underground. I wouldn't go overboard but just to add a little additional setup. I did find a picture from a New Orleans Graveyard, maybe try adding a couple buildings like this:

It definitely has a great eerie feel. Something that I would even add to my own world.

Upload your screenshot to an image hosting website (e.g. photobucket.com). I'm interested in what the map looks like but won't download without an image first.

Challenge Accepted! And within the first 10 minutes killed a couple zombies by hand and found a chest with 2 diamonds, 8 coal, and 3 pieces of bread. And no I didn't adventure far from my original spawn point. Here's my progression as of now.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! This was the entire bloddy issue!

You're welcome, glad to have helped. I had the exact same thing happen to me when I first started using beds. Kept wondering why a Zombie was trying to eat my brains in the middle of the night.

What is probably happening is your bed is right next to an exposed wall to the outside. Like in the image below:

I got this image off of the Wiki Article Minecraft Bed

posted a message on in all honesty ender is less usefull than nether when it started
    Quote from Someguyfromcrowd

Now, what irritates me about your position, Phar, is that you simultaneously deny me the right to use the argument of "it's not complete" and support someone who is attacking something for not being complete (by judging a prerelease as in indication of the final 1.9 update). Make up yer' mind.

This is one of the main points that I thought when I read the Original Post and the discussion of this thread. The OP has given information on the current state of The Ender but it's a post of sheer complaints. He's upset because The Ender has no usefulness. But in hindsight the OP would have complained about The Ender portals uselessness and not having access to the 'incomplete Ender' There's not justification and the OP is strictly lashing out because he feels let down because something wasn't released in a more completed fashion for this Prelease.

    Quote from Phar

I deny you the right to use the argument based on the fact that the OP is not basing his suggestion or thread on future updates. He's giving his opinion based on the current status of a feature, and be-damned about any future updates. Unless there is a specific source you have stating that the suggestion he's making has already been replied to/confirmed/denied/etc by a Mojang employee, the only use for your post is to simply gain your user account another +1 on your post count.

Here, since I don't feel like having to reply to you again, I'll go ahead and copy this from the forum rules:

This section is for discussion about the Beta 1.9 update only. Do not discuss other potential future updates in this section.

It is to discuss the Beta 1.9 update. Not to continually post "It will be fixed in a future update", that's not what this forum is for, and unless, again, you have a confirmed source, you make no "discussable" argument to the topic.

Here is the problem Phar about your opinion on the current arguments occurring. You lash out at another poster in the thread stating his post has no relevance to the topic. But here you've responded 3 times in a single thread arguing about the insignificance of other posters' replies. It's basically hypocritical babble that shows no open opinion to everyone else's thoughts.

Honestly I'm not sure why we're in this thread discussing 2 separate different matters. The thread title dictates that The Ender has no purpose. In the current state this is a true statement. There is no way to get to The Overworld without dying. The point of The Ender to explore new found regions and see what the new dimension is like. The problem with the OP's post is he critically complains that the new items from The Ender have no purpose at the current state. But this opinion is moot based on the fact that you can't return to The Overworld without dying, meaning all of the new items you retrieved are lost in the return.

This thread has no justification, just constant complaints that we are given another 'incomplete' item in a Pre-release. Which is sheer ignorance and impatience. We're all given the option to explore the new regions of the Pre-release. We're given the freedom to express our opinion. Just keep these constant complaints to yourself. They achieve no goal.

I couldn't comprehend what you were even remotely trying to explain. If English is not your native language I could understand. But my personal opinion is, if you want people to take your idea seriously write the message in a coherent, structured form.
