maybe just tell people to like make their own picture then name it the same as you have it in the code

Unfortunately, a lot of users won't want to do this due to complication. Also, the way mods work is they just take a number and associate that with a certain tile in Minecraft's default tileset, so I can't make it load a different image without more advanced modification.

I am making a dungeon spawner mod (search for: [1.5_01] Dungeon in a Box), and by request of another player I am making the look of the spawner configurable. The only problem is...I don't know how. I got it to work once, and then found out that when it changed, it changed ALL spawners, not just one. Can somebody help me do something like Risugami's Floodgate Mod? Thanks!

Working on a method that changes the texture of the block depending on the block that is underneath it. For example, placing the DIAB on top of a chest ( :biggrin.gif: ) will make it look like a chest. Currently, however, this makes ALL instances of the DIAB change, including the one in the inventory O.O . Hmm...

    will this work on smp

Not unless it is installed on the server too. I'm not sure if I would need to modify the code for that.

Cool idea.... Would I be able to change the texture easily, to make it look like a chest and put it in my friends house?
:SSSS: :SSSS: :SSSS: . Why's this in released mods though?

You could change the texture of all mossy cobblestone...I'll work on a way to change the texture.

Also, if a player cannot find a dungeon, how would they get the mossy stone?

What if they found one, but needed another? :smile.gif:

I'll think about this; maybe I could make a recipe for moss stone that involved seeds or something...

EDIT: hmm...maybe i should have read the posts...i'll probably use the seeds around cobblestone idea (
    :....: :....: :....:
    :....: :cobblestone: :....:
    :....: :....: :....:
    ) for moss stone.

Tired of spending hours on end to try and find a dungeon? Try this mod! Dungeon in a Box allows you to craft a block that, when right-clicked, builds a dungeon at its location. To craft the block:
    [] [] []
    [] :SSSS: []
    :mossystone: :mossystone: :mossystone:

where :SSSS: is a mob spawner.

To craft a mob spawner (new in this mod):
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    :Iron: :--+: :Iron:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:

    Have fun!

    Download (Current Version)
    Download (Beta 1.0, old version)
    Download (Alpha 1.0, old version)

    Installation Instructions
    0. BACKUP MINECRAFT.JAR!!!!
    1. Download the file above.
    2. Extract the files from the ZIP to a folder on your hard drive.
    3. Go to the path below corresponding to your operating system:

    Windows XP and earlier:
    C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Name]\Application Data\.minecraft\bin
    (Application Data may be hidden)

    Windows Vista and above:
    C:\Users\[Your Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin
    (AppData may be hidden)

    Mac OS X:
    Macintosh HD\Users\[Your Name]\Library\Application Support\minecraft\bin

    Linux (Most Distributions):
    /home/[Your Name]/.minecraft/bin
    (.minecraft will be hidden)

    4. Once here, open "minecraft.jar" with an archive manager such as WinRAR (Windows), Jar Inspector (Mac OS X), or File Roller/Archive Manager (Linux) and move it to the side.

    5. Go to the folder you extracted all of the ZIP contents to and copy all of the .class files from that folder into the archive manager. Usually this just involves dragging-and-dropping the files.

    6. Copy the images folder to the archive manager. Again, this can usually be accomplished by dragging-and-dropping the folder in. You may need to instead create a folder named images in the archive manually and copy the files individually.

    7. Go into the gui folder inside the folder you extracted the ZIP into, and in the archive manager. Copy the file from the folder into the archive manager. Yet again, this can usually be done by dragging-and-dropping.

    8. Delete the META-INF folder. This is the most important step! The mod will not work unless you do this. Don't come complaining to me on here about a black screen until you do this step.

    9. Enjoy endless dungeons!

Post here if you need help or for feedback. Any feedback is welcome; I need to know what to fix! Have fun!

posted a message on Minecart Dispensers!
It might be difficult to get in a cart while it is shooting out, but if you were to use this to set up, for example, a minecart subway station, it would be great. A minecart could shoot out to the station when a button was pressed, stop on a trackless block, and then another button could release a booster minecart to send it to another station. It could even be set up so that if a minecart ran back into a non-full dispenser, it would be put back in. This would make minecart stations a LOT easier.

posted a message on Minecart Dispensers!
I had a great idea for Minecart Dispensers. It is a pretty basic concept; you put Minecarts in a Dispenser and if there is a Minecart Track in front of the Dispenser, it shoots a Minecart down the track. This would be excellent for subway stations, delivery systems, etc. Post here for new ideas and support!

posted a message on Help with 3G server
I really want to set up my own Classic server, but unfortunately my dad won't let me use his home network (and trust me, he isn't going to change his mind). I do have an unlimited data plan on my 3G phone, but there is one problem. Pretty much all of the ports on my AT&T network are closed (I haven't found any open yet). I can't do my own port forwarding forwarding; I would have to have AT&T do it. My question is: Are there any open ports on AT&T MEdia Net, what are they, and if there aren't any, is there any way I can still set up a server?

    Thanks ahead of time!
